Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is a multiplexing technique that enables the transmission of multiple signals over a single communication channel by allocating separate time slots for each signal stream. This study aims to analyze the working principles of TDM, examples of its implementation, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of TDM in communication networks. The findings show that TDM can enhance data transmission efficiency through flexible bandwidth allocation, minimizing signal interference and thereby improving signal quality. Due to these advantages, TDM is widely used in fiber optic communication systems, such as telephone and internet networks. Additionally, all data processing is conducted within integrated circuits utilizing Plastic Optical Fiber (POF), allowing TDM to be implemented at a low cost.

An experiment examined micrometer shifts in optical fibers to understand sensor characteristics: range, linearity, sensitivity, and resolution. Findings showed voltage output decreases with fiber length. The fiber coupler sensor's range was 2 mm, and the fiber bundle sensor's was 25 mm.While not perfectly linear, the study identified operational ranges using y = ax + n. The fiber bundle had two linear regions: Front Linear (0.2-1.6 mm) with R² = 0.9918 and Rear Linear (2.3-8.3 mm) with R² = 0.977. The fiber coupler's linear trend spanned 0.3-2.1 mm with an R² of 0.944. Sensitivity was 4668.5 V/mm (front) and 780.91 V/mm (rear) for the fiber bundle, and 215.79 V/mm for the fiber coupler. Resolution was 0.0107 µm (front), 0.0640 µm (rear) for the fiber bundle, and 0.2317 µm for the fiber coupler. These findings shed light on optical fiber shift sensor parameters.

The internet is a computer network system that is connected to each other. To achieve an internet, you need a fiber optic network that can transfer certain information data up to speeds of up to 100Mbps. However, customer service often receives customer complaints regarding unstable Indihome network services in the Banyumanik STO area. So it is necessary to do research on Fiber Optic Network Analysis from Server to Optical Network Terminal (ONT) at PT Telkom Access Banyumanik STO Using the Fishbone Method. To analyze the causes that affect the quality of fiber optic network for good or bad. Network quality analysis was carried out using the Fishbone Diagram method as a basis for obtaining the results of measuring the quality of fiber optic networks at ODC BMK FAE/ODP BMK FAE 016 Jalan Banjarsari Barat – Jalan Tembalang Selatan. The results of network quality analysis through brainstorming sessions with 11 employees of PT Telkom Access obtained an average answer of 92%. Then measure the quality of the network in the field, namely from the Optical Line Terminal (OLT) to the Customer. The results obtained are directly proportional to the standard network quality analysis with an attenuation value of -19.10 dBm. So it can be concluded that the case study area has good network quality because the results of the average value of the questionnaire answers and the measurement results of the case study area have a value above the standard.

Pelengkungan yang terjadi pada sebuah kabel serat optik sangat berpotensi menimbulkan rugi daya yang cukup serius dan lebih jauh lagi menyebabkan pecahnya serat optik. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengukuran pengaruh pelengkungan serat optik terhadap rugi daya yang dihasilkan ketika serat optik dilengkungkan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan intensitas cahaya keluaran yang melalui  serat optik plastik. Skripsi ini hanya membahas mengenai perhitungan keluaran cahaya yang telah dipengaruhi oleh lekukan pada serat optik.Dari analisa yang dilakukan dengan panjang kabel fiber optik 100 m, redaman sebesar 0,2 dB/km dan radius pelengkungan yang bervariasi dengan radius pelengkungan sebesar 15 cm, 10 cm, 7 cm, 5 cm dan 2,25 cm, maka diperoleh rugi-rugi pelengkungan serat optik berturut -0,366 db, -0,312, -0,689, -0,914 , -1,658.
