This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using the Motivational Interviewing (MI) technique in reducing the level of online game addiction and loneliness tendencies in students. The method used is a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 13 students of class X-10 of SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal who were indicated to be addicted to online games with a tendency to loneliness. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of data analysis using the Paired Samples T-Test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores for both online game addiction and loneliness variables, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows that group guidance services with the Motivational Interviewing technique are effective in reducing online game addiction and reducing loneliness in students.

Online game addiction is a problem that has received attention from the wider community. Currently, much research is focused on efforts to reduce the level of online game addiction. This research aims to reduce the habit of playing online games through group discussion techniques among students at SDN 64 Buton District. Lasalimu, Kab. Buton, Southeast Sulawesi. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 10 students who were determined using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection instruments include a questionnaire on online game playing habits and observation guidelines. Testing the differences in students' online game playing habits from before being given guidance services using group discussion techniques to after being given guidance services using group discussion techniques was analyzed using the t-test formula. The results of data analysis show that the percentage of online game playing habits is 90.9%, while the average posttest percentage result is 57.6%. The research results showed that there was a decrease in the habit of playing online games through group discussion techniques among class VI students at SDN 64 Buton, Kec. Lasalimu, Kab. Buton, Southeast Sulawesi. This research is useful for teachers as consideration in reducing the habit of playing online games through group discussion techniques.

Online games are games that are liked by teenagers today and one of them is SMP N 1 Parigi students. To anticipate and minimize the bad impact that will occur for online students, it is necessary to have guidance from the school and especially from the parents of the students themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the guidance and counseling services in overcoming the problems of students who are addicted to online games, special services to overcome online game addiction. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data were collected by interview, observation, documentation and recording. The results showed that the positive and negative impacts of online game addiction on students' academic behavior patterns and student learning outcomes. To reduce online game addiction in students, guidance and counseling services used by teachers are group guidance services. That is by providing an understanding of the dangers of playing excessive online games, both in groups which BK is often done in class or individually through group guidance services.
