The Info BMKG application is a digital platform developed by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to provide information on weather, earthquakes, air quality, and early disaster warnings. This application is expected to enhance public preparedness in facing potential natural disasters. However, in its implementation, the Info BMKG application still encounters several issues, one of which is delays in delivering weather and disaster information. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Info BMKG application in providing weather and disaster information. The research applies Budiani's (2007) theory, using four indicators: Program Target Accuracy, Program Socialization, Program Objectives, and Program Monitoring. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Info BMKG application has made a significant contribution to supporting public preparedness for disasters. While the application is relatively effective in providing weather and disaster information in North Jakarta, further development is still needed. Improvements in information accuracy, notification speed, and enhanced public socialization will help improve the quality of the application’s services in the future.

Geologically, Indonesia is an archipelagic country that is prone to natural disasters, this is due to Indonesia's geographical location which is surrounded by three earth plates, namely the Eurasian plate, the Indo-Australian plate, and the Pacific plate. As a result of the meeting of the three global plates, Indonesia is located on the path of the fire mountains or what is known as the Ring of Fire which makes Indonesia prone to natural disasters in the form of volcanic eruptions, natural disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, floods, droughts, and others. Every region is vulnerable to natural disasters, both those directly influenced by nature and those influenced by humans. Natural disasters can have negative impacts in the form of economic losses, building damage, and loss of life. One effort to anticipate the negative impacts of natural disasters is through disaster mitigation. The purpose of this PKM Activity is to Teach the Community about Community-Based Disaster Management Through the Alert Village in Pagertoyo. Because emergencies can happen anytime and anywhere without exception, the method of implementing the activity consists of the preparation stage by providing socialization, implementation by providing training, assistance and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that most participants understood the material on Community-Based Disaster Management Through the Alert Village. The community is able to demonstrate disaster simulations for evacuating disaster victims and is able to demonstrate resuscitation on victims with respiratory arrest. With this PKM, it is hoped that the community will be able to carry out disaster mitigation to help disaster victims by evacuating victims and can help provide assistance to victims who have experienced respiratory arrest.

Disasters can occur anywhere and anytime that can disrupt various aspects of a person's life, children are one of the groups of people who are vulnerable to natural disasters. This vulnerability is caused by the limited understanding of the dangers of disaster risks in their surrounding environment. So involving children in disaster mitigation efforts is one of the efforts to strengthen children's resilience in facing disasters in the future. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a classroom action research approach implemented at SD Islam Arraisiyah. The subjects were 18 students in grade 5 (five). The implementation of the simulation method in flood disaster mitigation efforts for students starts from the planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection stage. There was an increase in student understanding after the socialization and preparedness training using the simulation method, as seen from the number of students who answered correctly in the post-test the efforts they could make to save themselves, namely 15 students answered correctly about flood prevention efforts, 12 students answered correctly about the efforts they could make when a flood disaster occurs, and 17 students answered correctly about the efforts they could make after a disaster occurs.

Indonesia has very diverse geographical conditions and regional landscapes, this causes Indonesia to have a very high risk of vulnerability to natural disasters. According to the international body that handles disaster risk, namely the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), Indonesia is an area with very high disaster risk. Regarding the occurrence of natural disasters, of course there is a need for a disaster management system that goes through several stages and is carried out with the aim of reducing the risk of disasters occurring.

Geologically, Indonesia is located along the Ring of Fire, a volcanic line that surrounds the Pacific Ocean, making Indonesia a vulnerable country and has the potential to experience natural disasters. This is not proportional to the ability and readiness of the community in dealing with natural disasters. This community service socialization and disaster mitigation simulation was carried out to Kemala Bhayangkari 9 Waru Junior High School Students which aims to provide education to be alert when facing natural disasters, especially earthquakes. This socialization and simulation is very effective as seen from the students practicing the simulations that we demonstrate, so it can also be assessed that students really understand and are ready if there is a natural disaster

Beseran village is a village located inland, and faces the risk of natural disasters such as floods, landslides and strong winds. According to data from the Magelang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), in 2023 there will be several natural disasters, and the biggest contributor will be landslides with a percentage of 90%. This study aims to analyze the strategies implemented to encourage active community involvement in disaster mitigation efforts. Empowerment strategies include education about disaster mitigation, preparedness training, forming disaster response groups, and developing community emergency plans. The importance of a comprehensive approach that accommodates local knowledge, specific community needs, and existing capacity is identified as a key factor in the success of empowerment programs. The methods implemented in Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities in Beseran Village in this research are observation of regional conditions, observation of activities, and preparation of work programs. The efforts made were holding a disaster mitigation socialization event which invited resource persons from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Magelang Regency. Thus, this program is important to help the government and related communities in designing more effective and inclusive disaster mitigation programs, as well as contributing to building community resilience to natural disasters in the future.

One of the key topics in education and disaster mitigation is the use of geophysical science to deal with natural disasters and to raise environmental awareness of high school students. We discussed how geophysician science can be incorporated into high school curricula to increase environmental Awareness and reduce natural disaster risk. We also highlighted the methods of geofysics that can be socialized to high school pupils to understand and manage natural phenomena, as well as to reduce the risk of natural catastrophe for society. By using this method, high school children are expected to learn about the Earth and how to cope with natural catastrophes

Erosion is a serious problem in riverbank areas. This is because erosion is the starting point for subsequent natural disasters such as landslides. Based on this understanding, empowerment is needed by installing an Early Warning System, mapping of vulnerable areas and evacuation routes, as well as outreach aimed at increasing the understanding and awareness of residents for mitigation. The early warning system socialization program is carried out with Focus Group Discussions so that it can run interactively. Thus, it is hoped that there will be an increase in public understanding and awareness of natural disasters, as well as an increase in the quality of community empowerment by students in the implementation of applied science.
