This community service activity aims to improve digital literacy among children and adolescents in Telang Sari Village through basic computer training and networking introduction. The main problem faced by the community is the low level of technological literacy caused by limited facilities and lack of access to structured computer education. This program was implemented during the Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) by applying participatory and practical training methods. The activities included introduction to computer hardware and software, basic typing skills, document creation, internet literacy, and simple LAN configuration practices for junior high school students. The results show a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and confidence in using computers and basic networking concepts. Children and adolescents who previously had minimal exposure to technology were able to operate computers, create simple documents, and understand responsible internet usage. The program also contributed to increasing students’ motivation to learn technology and preparing them to face digital challenges. Overall, this activity demonstrates that basic computer training with hands-on practice can effectively enhance digital literacy in rural communities.

The rapid use of messaging applications among teenagers makes students increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats, necessitating education on how data protection works in online communication. This program is implemented using a descriptive method consisting of planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The material covered includes basic cryptography concepts, end-to-end encryption mechanisms, and the practical process of the Diffie–Hellman key exchange thru the interactive simulation "Alice and Bob." Learning is designed contextually and participatively so that students can connect theory with the digital applications they use every day. The evaluation results showed an improvement in students' understanding, reflected in their active participation, ability to answer questions, and adequate post-test scores. This activity not only strengthens digital security literacy but also raises students' awareness of the importance of protecting personal data in online communication. This program is expected to be the beginning of more sustainable digital security learning development in the school environment.

This study aims to describe the implementation of environmental literacy through the One Student One Plant Movement program at MI Muhammadiyah Gawang. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out using questionnaires and documentation. This program is designed through three main stages, namely environmental literacy socialization, program implementation, and plant care assistance. The results of the study indicate that the program is effective in improving students' environmental literacy, evidenced by the average student environmental literacy score of 62.8 before the program (pretest) with a sufficient category and 82.4 after the program (posttest) with a good category, which indicates an increase of 19.6 or 31.2% in environmental literacy scores. This program also contributes to positive changes in student behavior, such as increased awareness of environmental cleanliness and initiatives in caring for plants. Through these activities, students not only gain knowledge about the environment but also real-life experience in maintaining and caring for plants, connecting theory with practice. This program has succeeded in increasing student awareness and involvement in environmental issues, and can be used as a model for similar programs in other schools.

Academic writing skills are one of the essential aspects of developing students’ academic literacy from the beginning of their university studies. However, most first-year students in the 2025 academic year in the English Department, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar, still face difficulties in understanding the structure, language, and ethic of academic writing. This community service aims to improve the academic literacy skills of first-year students through a comprehensive and practical academic writing training program. The implementation methods included several stages, namely pre-test, material presentation, writing exercise, and post-test. The Training materials covered the structure of scientific papers, the use of academic language, paraphrasing techniques, citation ethics, and reference management using reference manager tools. The participants consisted of 40 first-year students who took part in a full-day training session. The results showed a significant improvement in all assessment aspects, with the average score increasing from 56.8 in the pre-test to 83.9 in the post-test. The highest improvement was observed in the accuracy of citation and referencing, which increased by 33.2%. These findings indicate that the training effectively enhanced students’ understanding of systematic and ethical principles of academic writing. Therefore, this activity contributes to strengthening the academic culture and preparing students for academic writing during their studies.

Early financial management is an important skill for adolescents to form healthy financial behavior. However, observations at MTS Ummul Qura show that most students are still low in financial literacy and are not accustomed to saving. This community service was conducted to improve students' financial literacy through a combination of counseling guidance and saving practices at school. The method used is a case study with a participatory approach, involving students, counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and school officials. Activities included financial literacy socialization, savings practice training, and regular monitoring and mentoring. The results showed an increase in financial literacy awareness, changes in consumptive behavior to be more rational, and the formation of consistent saving habits with student participation increasing from 25% to more than 70%. The program also received active support from teachers and parents, so it has the potential to become a sustainable school culture. The findings confirm that the integration of counseling and real practice is effective in building adolescent financial literacy and supporting the national financial literacy agenda.

The methods applied included observation, interviews, socialization, and participatory training. The core program included logo and product identity creation, photography training and promotional content editing, social media account creation, and education on Go Digital Safe for the community. The results of this activity showed an increase in the skills of MSMEs in using digital media for promotion, expanding market share, and increasing product competitiveness. In addition, students gained practical insights in the application of entrepreneurship, communication, and social project management. The main challenges faced, namely the lack of internet access and low digital literacy in the community, can be overcome through a direct approach and intensive mentoring. Overall, the KKN program has been successful in strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and the community and has become an example of digital-based economic empowerment at the village level.

Independent Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of student community service that aims to apply knowledge practically in the field. This activity was carried out by students of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra with the theme "Building Student Financial Awareness Through Education and Socialization in Schools. " This program aims to improve financial understanding among students from Elementary and High Schools in Perkebunan Gunung Melayu Village, Rahuning District, Asahan Regency. The methods applied include interactive socialization, educational games, and quizzes to stimulate students' interest and understanding of the importance of saving and managing finances from an early age. The results of this activity show that students begin to recognize the basic concepts of financial management, including how to distinguish between needs and desires, the significance of saving, and the application of Islamic financial principles in daily routines. In addition, this activity also serves to increase public understanding of the importance of financial education for children. The main element that facilitates the implementation of activities is support from educational institutions, village governments, and local communities, while the main challenge faced is the lack of attention of elementary school students caused by their habits that still prefer to play. Overall, this KKN program has a positive impact on increasing students' financial awareness and has the potential to be a simple financial education model at the elementary and secondary school levels

This community service program aimed to enhance students’ pharmaceutical literacy through the introduction of drug classification logos at SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Pangkatrejo. The background of this activity was the low level of drug-use literacy among adolescents, often leading to irrational self-medication. The activity employed a quantitative descriptive design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. Educational interventions included interactive counseling, PowerPoint presentations, visual media using logo sticks, and pretest–posttest evaluation. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ knowledge (p = 0.000), with mean scores increasing from 58% to 81% after the intervention. The highest gain was observed in the recognition of logo colors and drug classifications. Satisfaction analysis revealed that 96% of participants expressed satisfaction with the learning process, especially regarding material clarity and the presenters’ readiness to answer questions. The study concludes that participatory educational methods and visual media effectively improve rational drug-use awareness among junior high school students. Future programs are recommended to expand similar activities to other schools and integrate digital media for sustained impact on public health literacy.

The misuse of social media in Indonesia has become an increasingly concerning issue, particularly among teenagers and university students who lack awareness of the legal consequences of digital activities. Students at Universitas Teknologi Mataram (UTM), as active social media users, are vulnerable to committing violations, whether consciously or unconsciously, due to limited understanding of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE). To address this, digital law literacy is necessary to help students become more aware of existing legal boundaries and to encourage them to use social media as a positive tool for self-development and academic purposes. This community service program was designed to provide digital law education as a preventive measure against social media misuse among students. The methods employed included interactive socialization through lectures, discussions, case studies, and the distribution of legal literacy materials such as leaflets and infographics. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of the importance of ethics, legal compliance, and the risks of digital misconduct, including hate speech, hoax dissemination, and other online violations. The program also introduced the latest provisions of Law No. 1 of 2024 concerning the amendment of Law No. 11 of 2008 on Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE). Overall, this activity highlights the importance of continuous digital law education to encourage UTM students to be wiser, more critical, and responsible in their use of social media.

Community Service (Kukerta) is a form of student community service that aims to apply knowledge, build social awareness, and encourage positive change in the surrounding environment. This article discusses the role of Kukerta Group 44 students from UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten in environmental conservation efforts and increasing educational awareness in Cibojong Village, Serang Regency. The majority of the population in Cibojong Village earn their living as farmers, but the agricultural produce obtained is generally only sufficient to meet daily needs, without guaranteeing long-term economic sustainability. Therefore, students educate the community through guidance from the BPP (Agricultural Extension Center), about learning to farm for the long term, and invite them to join the farming community. In addition, the community’s education level is relatively low, with most children only completing elementary school. Through a participatory approach and qualitative descriptive methods, students implement various programs such as planting productive trees, waste management education, and socialization of sustainable agriculture. In the field of education, students hold tutoring activities, motivational classes, and literacy for village children and adolescents. The results of the activity show that the active involvement of students has a positive impact on increasing public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and continuing education. Kukerta is an effective means of building collaboration between universities and village communities to address local challenges sustainably.

This community service program focuses on training teachers at SMKN 1 Malingping in developing formative assessment instruments using the Quizizz and Wordwall platforms. The main objective is to enhance teachers’ competencies in integrating technology into classroom assessment practices, thereby improving the quality of teaching and learning. Formative assessment plays a crucial role in the learning process as it allows teachers to continuously monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide timely feedback that supports both remediation and enrichment. By mastering digital tools such as Quizizz and Wordwall, teachers can design engaging, interactive, and effective assessment activities that align with curriculum objectives while also increasing student motivation and participation. The training was conducted through a workshop model, combining theoretical sessions on formative assessment principles with hands-on practice in creating and implementing online quizzes, interactive games, and customized learning activities. Teachers were guided step-by-step in account creation, content development, and analyzing assessment results for instructional decision-making. Feedback sessions were also integrated to address challenges and share best practices. The results of the training indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ skills and confidence in utilizing Quizizz and Wordwall for formative assessment. Participants demonstrated the ability to design varied assessment formats, adapt content to students’ needs, and effectively interpret assessment data to inform teaching strategies. Moreover, teachers reported increased student engagement when these platforms were implemented in classroom settings. This program highlights the importance of equipping educators with digital literacy skills that are relevant to 21st-century learning demands. The integration of Quizizz and Wordwall not only streamlines the assessment process but also fosters a more dynamic and student-centered learning environment. The experience from SMKN 1 Malingping suggests that similar training initiatives can be replicated in other schools to promote effective, technology-based formative assessment practices.

This community service program aims to introduce 5th-grade students at Elementary School Emmaus Kediri to basic programming concepts using the Scratch platform. The program adopted the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method, which emphasizes interactive learning through hands-on activities. The one-day session involved 17 students, who underwent a structured process consisting of a pre-test, material delivery, hands-on practice of creating simple animations, and a post-test. The learning materials included an introduction to the Scratch interface, how to use sprites, and basic coding blocks to develop simple animation projects. The evaluation results indicated a significant increase in students' understanding of basic programming concepts. The majority of participants successfully created simple animation projects using coding blocks and sprites, demonstrating their ability to apply the learned concepts. The students showed high enthusiasm throughout the learning process, indicating a strong interest in digital learning and coding. The high level of engagement further supports the potential for expanding similar programs in the future. This community service activity proved effective in introducing computational thinking and fostering creativity among elementary school students. It also demonstrated the effectiveness of interactive and hands-on learning approaches in enhancing students' digital literacy. As a result, this program has the potential to be implemented in other schools to promote early exposure to programming and support the development of digital skills among young learners

The number of school-age adolescent girls in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, still faces serious challenges related to nutritional problems such as anemia and chronic energy deficiency (SEZ). Low nutritional literacy and unbalanced food consumption habits also worsen their nutritional status, especially during puberty when nutritional needs increase significantly. This service activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of young women on the principles of balanced nutrition through a participatory educational approach. The implementation of the activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Bunta, Simpang Raya District, involving 30 students in grades VII and VIII as well as UKS supervisory teachers. The intervention included providing material on "Fill My Plate", the 4 pillars of balanced nutrition, and the risk of nutritional disorders in adolescents. The material was delivered in the form of interactive counseling using leaflet media, accompanied by knowledge measurement through pre-test, post-test, and one-week post-activity evaluation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' understanding of the principles of balanced nutrition, with the knowledge score of the good category increasing from 40% to 87%. Most of the participants were able to mention the composition of the meal portion, the importance of breakfast, restrictions on fast food consumption, and the need to drink enough water every day. This activity also has an impact on increasing the capacity of teachers in assisting and monitoring the health status of students through the UKS program. Teachers become more active in conducting periodic counseling and recording the nutritional development of female students on a regular basis. School-based balanced nutrition counseling has been proven to be effective in improving adolescent nutritional literacy. This educational model can be replicated in other regions with cross-sectoral support such as education offices, health centers, and village governments, to support the achievement of sustainable development goals in the health sector.

The social transformation that has occurred in the digital era has encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt to developments in information technology to increase competitiveness and expand market reach. One form of this adaptation is the use of e-commerce platforms as a means of marketing and managing their businesses online. This community service activity aims to empower the Kartika Taro Chips MSME through the introduction and implementation of an e-commerce platform based on Odoo.com, an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This activity was carried out by students of the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science, Victory University Sorong, with the assistance of lecturers from the Information Systems and Sociology fields. The training method includes several stages, namely: the stage of material preparation and analysis of participant needs, the implementation of a workshop that includes the installation and configuration of Odoo.com, and the post-training mentoring stage to ensure the sustainability and independence of participants in managing their online stores. The results of the training showed that participants were not only able to build and manage online stores independently, but also understood the basic concepts of ERP systems and experienced a significant increase in digital literacy. From a sociological perspective, this activity reflects a technology-driven social transformation process, where MSMEs are actively expanding their social networks through digital spaces and increasing their involvement in the digital economy. This demonstrates that integrating technological and social approaches can be a relevant MSME empowerment model in local contexts. Overall, this training has had a positive impact on strengthening MSMEs' digital capacity and opening up new opportunities for sustainable business development in the era of digital transformation.

This phenomenon becomes increasingly complex when students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Comments or posts considered normal in one culture may be perceived as offensive in another. A lack of cultural sensitivity often triggers digital conflict and bullying, which can negatively impact students' mental health. This PKM aims to improve students’ understanding of the dangers of cyberbullying and the importance of cross-cultural communication ethics. The program began with a pre-test to assess participants' initial knowledge, followed by an interactive seminar discussing the concepts of cyberbullying, digital ethics, and real-life case studies. Students then engaged in group discussions and simulations, where they analyzed problematic digital content and formulated empathetic, constructive responses. At the end of the activity, a post-test was conducted to evaluate the program’s effectiveness. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ awareness and attitudes. This program successfully encouraged students to be more thoughtful and responsible in their online interactions and to become change agents in creating a safer, more inclusive digital environment. The outcomes of this program include a scholarly publication, an educational video disseminated on social media, and quantitative data showing an increase in participants’ knowledge. Overall, this initiative contributes to strengthening multicultural digital literacy among today’s youth.
