Labor is the process of expelling the products of conception, namely the fetus and placenta, after reaching full term and being viable in the womb. There are two types of delivery: normal delivery and caesarean section (SC). Caesarean section (SC) is a surgical procedure performed through an incision in the uterine wall to deliver the fetus. Caesarean delivery is indicate in cases of cephalopelvic disproportion, breech or transverse fetal position, fetal weight exceeding 4,000 grams, or maternal health conditions that may endanger the mother and fetus. One of the common complications following caesarean delivery is pain. Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage. An intervention that can be applied to reduce post SC pain is Guided Imagery Therapy. Guided imagery therapy is a non-pharmacological intervention aimed at reducing and controlling pain by creating pleasant and relacing thoughts, focusing on breathing, and visualizing positive scenarios. This study employed a descriptive case study design using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. The study was conducted on two patients with moderate pain (pain scale 4-6) after SC at TK II Putri Hijau Hosiptal Medan. The results showed that after the application of guided imagery therapy for three days with a duration of 40 minutes per session, pain levels decreased to mild (pain scale 1-3). In ptient I, pain decreased from a score of 5 to 3, an in patient 2, from a score of 6 to 3. In conclusion, guided imagery therapy was successfully applied in reducing post -SC pain levels and can serve as a reference for further research on pain reduction following caesarean section.

Physiological processes such as pregnancy, labor and birth can be difficult and can occur at any time, and can have serious impacts on the mother and fetus. So the SC ERACS method of delivery is an option. ERACS is a SC delivery technique that is becoming increasingly popular in society, especially among pregnant women because it can shorten recovery time after surgery and reduce post-operative pain. This study aims to describe the level of pain in patients post caesarean section using the ERACS method. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, data collection using accidental sampling techniques, namely all SC ERACS patients at H.A Zaky Djunaid Hospital for 1 month, namely 52 respondents. This research instrument uses NRS. The data analysis used is univariate in the form of a frequency distribution. The results showed that the characteristics of the respondents were mostly in the early adulthood category, namely aged 26-35 years, 27 respondents (51.9%), 34 respondents (65.4%) respondents who did not work, 24 respondents (46.2) who indicated a history of SC, and 41 respondents (78.8%) were multiparous. The pain level of post-SC patients using the ERACS method, the majority of mothers experienced mild pain on a scale of 1-3, 47 respondents (90.4%). The conclusion that can be drawn is that the pain level of post-SC patients using the ERACS method is that most mothers experience mild pain.

Every woman experiences the process of giving birth, it is natural for women to give birth normally, namely through the vagina or normal birth canal. If a woman cannot give birth normally, medical personnel will perform an alternative delivery to help expel the fetus. If the conditions of the mother and fetus have complications during delivery, then to immediately save both of them it is necessary to carry out delivery procedures, one of the actions taken is caesarean section delivery (Safitri, 2020).
