This study aims to explore the concept of reconciliation in Christian theology as a philosophical foundation for an alternative criminal justice model involving the LGBT community. The retributive criminal law approach is often considered ineffective in addressing the complexities of legal, social, and religious conflicts related to religious sexual minorities. Using a qualitative method and a constructivist approach, this study analyzes the meaning of reconciliation through sacred texts, doctrine, and interviews with theologians, legal practitioners, and the Christian LGBT community. This approach reveals the subjective understanding of the actors regarding reconciliation and justice. The findings show that the core of reconciliation theology is the restoration of relationships, recognition, and transformation, which can form an ethical framework for the restorative justice model. This model offers a holistic solution, not only addressing legal consequences but also restoring social harmony by respecting individuals' dual identities. The article concludes that the integration of theological insights can lead to a more inclusive and transformative criminal justice paradigm for the LGBT community, resulting in a more humane and just resolution.

The popularity of the boys love (BL) genre, a key representation of the LGBTQ community, raises concerns about its potential negative impact on social pathology related to LGBTQ behaviors among fans. Despite the stigma labeling BL enthusiasts as exhibiting deviant sexual behavior (homosexuality), early observations and field findings show that most fans are heterosexual and do not exhibit such behavior. Instead, their engagement represents a cumulative effort to support LGBTQ representation. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, conducted on social media X over four months. Key findings suggest that the primary curative efforts by fans to address the social pathology of LGBTQ are self-control and the establishment of self-boundaries. Self-control is demonstrated through cognitive and decision-making control, while self-boundaries are seen in fans' understanding that fictional content should not be translated into heteronormative reality. Strengthening self-control and self-boundaries lays the foundation for further curative actions, preventing fans from becoming fully integrated into the LGBTQ community.

The disruptive era, characterized by rapid technological advancement, shifting social paradigms, and the globalization of ideas, presents a profound challenge to Christian Education, particularly in the realm of sexual ethics. The pervasive visibility of the LGBT phenomenon often creates a reactive response within Christian communities, leading to a perceived dichotomy between upholding biblical authority and extending Christ-like compassion. This article argues that this disruption should not be viewed merely as a threat but recognized as a Kairos moment a critical and opportune time for theological and pedagogical renewal. Employing a methodology of theological reflection and conceptual analysis, this study explores how Christian educators can move beyond polarized debates to reconceive their role. It proposes a framework for fostering a sexual ethic that is simultaneously biblically grounded and pastorally compassionate. This involves a deliberate rethinking of pedagogical approaches that engage students in critical dialogue with both Scripture and contemporary culture. The article contends that an authentic biblical ethic is not merely about prohibition but about forming disciples who understand God's design for human flourishing, relationships, and sexuality. By seizing this Kairos moment, Christian Education can empower students to navigate a complex world with convictional clarity and empathetic grace, thereby transforming a challenge into a catalyst for a more holistic, effective, and faithful ministry.

In society, there are terms like Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) which are generally considered as a form of sexual orientation deviation. Sexual orientation itself refers to a person's emotional, physical, or romantic attraction to either the same or the opposite sex. Some countries legalize homosexual life, including same-sex marriage, but in the context of sexual deviation, homosexuality is considered contrary to the norms and values maintained in society. Based on this, several issues are raised, namely how Indonesian criminal law, especially the Criminal Code (KUHP), regulates LGBT; looking at Law Number 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights for LGBT; and what legal efforts are made by the government to address issues related to LGBT. The author uses a descriptive analytical research method, with a normative descriptive approach that examines literature and regulations using qualitative legal analysis. The research results show that the provisions regarding homosexuality in Indonesian criminal law, which include Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, are contained in Book II of the Criminal Code, Chapter XIV concerning Sexual Crimes, Article 292, and for cases involving children, are stipulated in Article 82 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2014. Furthermore, there is no legal recognition of homosexuality, and the law only permits homosexual practices involving children under the age of majority. The constitution recognizes human rights with limitations that may not conflict with regulations, morals, religious values, or public safety. The government is making efforts by coordinating not only with the LGBT community but also with relevant agencies, preventing violations arising from policies or systems, and continuously raising awareness among the government, the public, and various parties regarding human rights principles.

This study explores the Islamic perspective on Human Rights (HR) through a qualitative approach based on literature review. It emphasizes that the principles of human rights are not foreign to Islamic teachings, but are inherently embedded in the values of Sharia derived from the Qur'an and Hadith. Islam upholds justice, freedom of religion, equality, the right to life, and social and economic welfare. The article also examines contemporary challenges faced by Muslim societies in implementing human rights, such as gender inequality, restrictions on religious freedom, and the marginalization of vulnerable groups, including the LGBT community. The findings reveal that the tensions between Islamic principles and international human rights standards often stem from differing normative foundations and interpretations of individual freedom. Therefore, a contextual reinterpretation (ijtihad) is necessary to ensure that Islamic values remain relevant and responsive to modern global challenges. The study concludes that, when applied wisely and aligned with universal humanitarian values, Islamic teachings hold significant potential to contribute to the development of a just, inclusive, and dignified society.

This LGBT group has the right to repentance in Jesus. Because that is why Jesus came into the world to save humans from sin. The church also has a very important role in providing assistance to LGBT groups.

In the era of globalization, the views of Indonesian people towards the rise of the LGBT phenomenon have become complex, considering that Indonesia is thick with religious and cultural values. Although the country adheres to human rights principles, an understanding of religious norms is often a filter for views on sexual diversity. On the one hand, there are groups that support LGBT rights as a form of respect for human rights, while on the other hand, there are concerns that this phenomenon is not in line with the values of Pancasila which emphasizes unity and unity in diversity. Homosexuals or currently better known as LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) is a phenomenon that has graced the media lately. Starting from the prosecution for legalizing same-sex marriage, the pros and cons of its existence, prostitution of minors for gays to prosecution by certain groups to criminalize homosexuals. Although homosexuals have existed for a long time, it is not yet known for certain the cause of this same-sex liking. Including the debate whether homosexuality is classified as a nuisance, risk or grace (normal). Homosexuality is a feeling of being attracted to the same sex (Stuart, 2013). Homosexuality does not occur between men and men (gay) or women and women. Another understanding according to Behrman, et al (2012) states that homosexuality is a physical and romantic force of the same sex. Currently, the phenomenon of homosexuality is better known as the term LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender). This phenomenon has existed since ancient times, but nowadays homosexual behavior has begun to tend to be carried out openly. This is different from ancient times where homosexual behavior was carried out in secret (Budiarty, 2011).
