Butgeting is an important instrument in managing retail businesses such as Toko Harapan Teknik Boyolali, as it functions as a tool for planning, control, and evaluation of company performance. Budget effectiveness is influenced by both internal and external factors of the organization. This study aims to analyze the effect of company performance and environmental uncertainty on budget effectiveness at Toko Harapan Teknik Boyolali. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by reviewing and synthesizing information from various sources, including books, scientific journals, and previous studies. The results indicate that company performance has a positive effect on budget effectiveness, as good performance supports more realistic and accurate budget preparation. In addition, environmental uncertainty, such as changes in market conditions, business competition, demand fluctuations, and economic dynamics, can hinder budget effectiviness. Simultaneously company performance and environmental uncertainty influence the success of budgeting. Therefore, companies need to improve performance and implement flexible and adaptive budgeting systems to address environmental uncertainty.

This study investigates the impact of board characteristics on the financial performance of non-financial companies listed in the JII70 index in Indonesia. Motivated by the ongoing debate on the effectiveness of corporate governance mechanisms in enhancing firm outcomes, particularly within Sharia-compliant markets, this study focuses on three key board attributes: board size, board independence, and female representation on the board. Using a quantitative causal approach and panel data from 25 companies over the period 2020–2023, the study employs a fixed effect model to evaluate the relationship between board structure and financial performance measured by Return on Assets (ROA). The results show that board size has a positive and significant effect on firm performance, indicating that larger boards may enhance oversight capacity and provide broader resources beneficial to strategic decision-making. Conversely, board independence and board female representation do not exhibit significant effects on financial performance, suggesting that their roles may be more symbolic or constrained by institutional and contextual factors in the sampled companies. These findings highlight the importance of understanding corporate governance not merely in structural terms, but in relation to functional effectiveness and contextual maturity. The study offers implications for regulators, companies, and governance reform initiatives, particularly regarding strengthening substantive roles of independent and female commissioners in improving firm performance within Sharia-compliant markets.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) on the financial performance of mining companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII70) for the 2020–2024 period, with the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) as a control variable. The findings show that, partially, the Environmental variable has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA, indicating that efforts in energy efficiency, waste management, and emission reduction have not yet been fully reflected in short-term profitability. In contrast, the Social variable has a significant effect on ROA, emphasizing that companies’ engagement in building stakeholder relationships, protecting employee rights, and implementing social responsibility programs contribute substantially to financial performance. The Governance variable also has a significant effect on ROA, highlighting the importance of good governance practices, transparency, and accountability in enhancing profitability. Meanwhile, the control variable DER shows no significant effect on ROA. Simultaneously, ESG performance has a significant effect on ROA, proving that integrated ESG implementation supports the profitability of mining companies. These findings confirm that ESG is not only a compliance measure with sustainability principles but also a long-term business strategy that strengthens companies’ competitiveness and serves as a crucial consideration for investors in making investment decisions.

This study examines the factors affecting Ship Agency Company Performance (Y) at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. The focus is on four independent variables: Waiting Time Perception (X1), Loading and Unloading Productivity (X2), Document Handling (X3), and Human Resources (X4). Using a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression analysis, data were collected from 100 employees across 27 agency companies. The results indicate that all four independent variables have a positive and significant partial effect on company performance. Waiting Time Perception (X1) was identified as the most dominant factor, with a coefficient of β=0.322\beta = 0.322β=0.322 and tcount=3.152t_{count} = 3.152tcount=3.152, suggesting that docking time efficiency (influenced by pilot services and vessel intensity) is the key determinant of agency performance. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R2R^2R2) is 0.370, indicating that 37% of the variation in performance is explained by the model, while the remaining 63% is influenced by external factors such as weather and macro policies. This study underscores the importance of managing port time effectively and improving Human Resources competencies to enhance agency performance in congested and digitized maritime environments, offering strategic recommendations for regulators and port managers.

This study aims to analyze the effect of audit quality, earnings power, and risk-taking behavior on firm performance, while also testing the moderating role of the risk management committee. The research was conducted on 18 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. A quantitative approach was employed using moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results show that only earnings power has a positive and significant effect on firm performance, whereas audit quality and risk-taking behavior have no significant effect. Additionally, the risk management committee strengthens the influence of audit quality on firm performance but does not moderate the relationship between earnings power or risk-taking behavior and performance. These findings suggest that internal oversight through the risk management committee is only effective in the context of audit but not yet optimal in managing earnings or risk-taking. This study contributes to corporate governance literature in the mining sector by emphasizing the importance of an active and strategic risk management committee.

This research was conducted to analyze and understand the performance of the company PT Tjiwi Kimia Tbk with the Dupont system as an analytical tool. The data used in this study are secondary data, namely the company’s financial statements sourced through the IDX with the observation period 2020-2024. In the analysis conducted, it was found that the performance of the company PT Tjiwi Kimia in 2020-2024 was not good. This is because although the company showed a good ability to manage sales profitability (NPM) in several years and control the use of good debt (declining EM), the lack of efficient use of assets hindered the company’s ability to generate optimal returns for shareholders which resulted in a low ROE value. In signaling theory, a declining Equity Multiplier trend indicates a positive signal to investors regarding prudent debt management and more controllable financial risks. However, the low ROE value indicates a negative signal that the company needs to improve to increase investor confidence in profitability prospects.

This study aims to analyze and evaluate the impact of the implementation of PSAK No. 69 (Biological Assets) on market performance, with company performance acting as a mediating variable, in agricultural sector companies listed in Indonesia. PSAK No. 69 was adopted to improve transparency and reliability in the financial reporting of biological assets, which are a significant component in the agricultural industry. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data derived from the annual financial reports of companies and stock price information accessed via the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the official websites of relevant companies for the period of 2018–2023.The study investigates the relationship between the intensity of biological assets and company performance, as measured by Return on Equity (ROE), as well as the relationship between company performance and market performance, as measured by Stock Return. The analysis results indicate that the intensity of biological assets has a significant positive impact on ROE. However, the direct effect of biological asset intensity on Stock Return is not statistically significant. Nevertheless, the mediation test reveals that ROE has a significant positive effect on Stock Return, thereby confirming the mediating role of ROE in the relationship between biological asset intensity and Stock Return. These findings imply that the implementation of PSAK No. 69 indirectly affects market performance through its influence on company performance. This highlights the importance of financial performance as a transmission channel in understanding the market implications of accounting regulation changes. The study provides useful insights for investors, regulators, and other stakeholders in evaluating the financial and market consequences of biological asset accounting standards in the agricultural sector.
