This study examines the partial and simultaneous effects of promotional strategies, risk perception, and resale price perception on public interest in gold investment at PT Pegadaian Dompu Branch. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 96 respondents selected from a population of 50,000 customers using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The findings reveal that promotional strategies have a positive and significant influence on public interest in gold investment, indicating that effective promotional activities encourage customers to invest. Risk perception also shows a positive and significant effect, suggesting that customers with better understanding and management of investment risks are more inclined to invest in gold. In addition, resale price perception positively and significantly affects investment interest, reflecting the importance of customers' confidence in obtaining favorable resale values. Simultaneous testing using the F-test confirms that the three independent variables jointly have a significant effect on public interest in gold investment. The coefficient of determination shows an Adjusted R Square value of 33.9%, meaning that promotional strategies, risk perception, and resale price perception explain 33.9% of the variation in investment interest, while the remaining 66.1% is influenced by other factors not included in this research model.

Cattle farming plays a strategic role in rural economic development by generating employment, supplementary household income, and contributing to food and nutritional security. However, in Indonesia, most smallholder cattle enterprises remain traditional and small-scale, leading farmers to treat livestock farming primarily as a secondary livelihood. While previous studies have largely focused on technical adoption and production performance, limited attention has been given to farmers’ psychological interest as a foundation for sustaining livestock enterprises. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the level of community interest in cattle farming and examine the influence of farmers’ characteristics (age, education level, herd size, number of family dependents, farming experience, and primary income) on such interest. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 34 cattle farmers in Taji Village, Jabung District, Malang Regency, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that community interest in cattle farming is generally high, as reflected in emotional (3.93), cognitive (3.81), and conative (3.74) dimensions measured on a four-point Likert scale. Regression results indicate that age has a significant positive effect (p = 0.022), whereas farming experience has a significant negative effect (p = 0.025) on interest levels. Other variables show no statistically significant influence. These findings highlight that psychological engagement in cattle farming is shaped more by demographic and experiential factors than by formal education or income level. The study contributes to the literature by positioning interest as a psychological determinant of livestock sustainability. Policy implications emphasize the urgency of risk-mitigation extension programs to address farmer burnout, incentivized intergenerational knowledge transfer, and cooperative-based institutional support to ensure smallholder livestock sustainability.

Local wisdom, particularly traditional snacks, constitutes an essential part of national cultural identity that needs to be introduced from an early age. However, observations at SDN 1 Tanggungharjo revealed that students' understanding of traditional snacks remains low, compounded by a lack of contextual and engaging visual learning media. This study aims to design an illustrated book titled "Belajar Jajanan Tradisional" (Learning Traditional Snacks) as a local wisdom-based educational medium for grades 3–6 students at SDN 1 Tanggungharjo. The Design Thinking method was employed through five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Data were collected through direct observation, teacher interviews, and student questionnaires. The outcome is a 20-page digital illustrated book in A5 PDF format covering four traditional snacks — klepon, dadar gulung, apem, and kue lapis — with content encompassing their origins, philosophy, cultural values, ingredients, and preparation processes. The applied design elements include character personification, vector cartoon style, bright color palettes based on the snacks' natural colors, rounded sans-serif typography, and a charactercentered layout tailored to the cognitive characteristics of students aged 9–12 years. Trial results demonstrated that the illustrated book effectively enhanced students' understanding of and interest in traditional snacks, while receiving positive feedback from teachers as a contextual and meaningful supplementary medium for thematic learning.

This study aims to analyze the language style employed by President Prabowo Subianto in his speech delivered at the 17th National Farmers and Fishermen Week in 2026 using Teun A. Van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis framework. The study employed a qualitative approach with documentation techniques applied to the official speech transcript. Data were analyzed through Van Dijk's three analytical dimensions, namely text, social cognition, and social context. The findings reveal that, at the textual level, the speech is dominated by themes of support for farmers and fishermen as strategic actors in national development and food security. At the superstructure level, the speech is organized argumentatively through personal experiences, policy explanations, and reaffirmation of governmental commitments. At the microstructure level, the speech demonstrates the use of informal language, rhetorical strategies, repetition, and lexical choices that strengthen the relationship between the speaker and the audience. In terms of social cognition, the findings indicate the speaker's awareness of the media's role in shaping public opinion, as reflected in several instances of meta-communication. Meanwhile, the social context dimension reveals representations of power relations through the construction of social groups positioned either as supporters or obstacles to national interests. These findings suggest that the speech functions not only as a means of political communication but also as a medium for constructing ideology, legitimizing power, and shaping political identity. This study reinforces the view that language plays a significant role in representing social realities and power relations within society.

Changes in labor regulations through the Job Creation Law have brought significant changes to the employment system in Indonesia, particularly in terms of labor flexibility. This study aims to analyze labor flexibility after the implementation of the Job Creation Law from the perspective of Human Resource Management (HRM). The research method used is a qualitative approach through a literature study with thematic analysis of 16 scientific journals, books, and regulations related to labor flexibility and strategic Human Resource Management (HRM) practices. The results show that labor flexibility has positive impacts on companies in improving operational efficiency, productivity, and adaptability to market changes. However, on the other hand, such flexibility also creates several challenges, including job uncertainty, decreased job security, and reduced protection for contract and outsourced workers. From the HRM perspective, companies are required to create a balance between business interests and labor protection in order to maintain harmonious industrial relations. This study is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of labor flexibility as part of human resource management strategies in the post-labor deregulation era in Indonesia.

This study aims to analyze the influence of fundamental and technical factors on stock price movements in the Indonesian capital market. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing secondary data obtained from various scientific literature sources as well as stock price data from the Investing platform. The results indicate that there are significant variations in stock prices among companies, reflecting differences in fundamental performance such as profitability, capital structure, and company prospects. In addition, from a technical perspective, stock price movements exhibit dynamic fluctuations, including both increases and decreases, influenced by market sentiment and investor responses to available information. The varying levels of stock volatility also indicate differences in investment risk. Trading volume plays an important role as a key indicator in technical analysis, where high volume reflects strong liquidity and investor interest, while low volume indicates limited market activity. Overall, the findings suggest that fundamental and technical factors have a complementary influence in determining stock price movements. Therefore, investors are advised to integrate both approaches in making investment decisions in order to achieve optimal returns while minimizing risk. This study is expected to contribute to the development of capital market research and serve as a reference for investors and academics.

This study examines students’ interest in participating in the Al-Kautsar Tahfidz Dormitory Program at MAN 1 Baubau and identifies the factors influencing their participation. The study also seeks to provide a deeper understanding of how both internal and external conditions shape students’ willingness to engage in the program. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with dormitory supervisors, participating students, and non-participating students. Additional supporting information was also gathered through informal discussions and observation in the dormitory environment to strengthen the data validity. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing in an iterative process to ensure accurate interpretation. The findings indicate that students’ interest is shaped by internal factors, such as religious motivation, the desire to memorize the Qur’an, and self-improvement, as well as external factors, including parental support, peer influence, program socialization, and the religious dormitory environment. Conversely, low interest is associated with limited family support, low self-confidence in Qur’anic literacy, competing activities outside school, and perceptions of a demanding dormitory schedule. Overall, the program contributes positively to students’ religious character, discipline, and Qur’anic memorization skills, although variations in student interest remain evident depending on their personal and environmental conditions.

In the digital era, job-seeking mechanisms have evolved through e-recruitment platforms, particularly for Gen Z fresh graduates. However, seamless digital access does not inherently trigger a high intention to apply for jobs, suggesting a complex interplay between internal psychological states and external technical factors. Objective: This investigation empirically examines the extent to which self-efficacy and the effectiveness of e-recruitment systems influence the intention to apply for jobs among Gen Z fresh graduates in Tasikmalaya Regency. Methodology: This study employed an explanatory quantitative approach involving 80 subjects selected via purposive sampling. Data evaluation was conducted through Multiple Linear Regression analysis using SPSS software. Findings: The research data demonstrates that both self-efficacy and digital recruitment systems exert a positive and significant impact on job application intentions, both independently and simultaneously. Furthermore, self-efficacy was identified as a more dominant predictor compared to recruitment technology. An R-Square value of 0.590 indicates that these two variables account for 59% of the variation in job application intentions. Implications: Companies are encouraged to continuously modernize their recruitment infrastructure while considering the psychological readiness of applicants and strengthening corporate branding to attract high-potential new graduates.

The presence of street vendors in urban areas is a social phenomenon that is inseparable from the economic dynamics of urban communities. On the one hand, street vendors provide an alternative source of livelihood for people in the informal sector; on the other hand, their presence is often seen as disrupting public order, urban aesthetics, and the function of public spaces. This situation gives rise to social conflict between local governments—as the authorities responsible for urban planning—and street vendors who are defending their economic space. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of social conflict in the process of regulating street vendors in urban areas and to identify the factors influencing the emergence of public resistance to regulation policies. The study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that social conflicts arising from street vendor regulation are influenced by conflicting interests between the government and vendors, poor policy communication, limited relocation space, and economic factors affecting urban communities. Repressive enforcement measures tend to provoke social resistance, whereas dialogic and participatory approaches are more effective in reducing conflict. This study emphasizes that the management of street vendors cannot be understood solely as a matter of urban order, but also involves aspects of social justice and the community’s right to sustain their economic livelihoods.

Journal of Islamic Law and Legal Studies 2026 Mabadi Iqtishad Al Islami

This study explores the role of Islamic economic law in promoting sustainable development by establishing an integrated relationship between ethical values, legal frameworks, and public policy. Although sustainable development has emerged as a major global agenda, its implementation continues to face challenges due to the limitations of conventional economic and legal systems, which often prioritize efficiency and economic growth while overlooking ethical and social dimensions. Employing a qualitative research approach through content analysis, this study examines classical Islamic jurisprudence, contemporary scholarly literature, and relevant policy documents to analyze the alignment between Islamic economic principles and sustainability frameworks. The findings demonstrate that Islamic economic law provides a comprehensive and ethically oriented framework based on fundamental principles, including tawhid (unity), adl (justice), maslahah (public interest), and maqasid al-shariah (objectives of Islamic law). These principles are manifested through various institutional and legal instruments, such as zakat, waqf, and risk-sharing financial mechanisms, which contribute to social justice, economic inclusion, financial resilience, and environmental sustainability.
