This study aims to examine the effect of microcredit on the level of community welfare in Kecamatan Sumbawa, with study locations in Kelurahan Pekat and Brang Bara. Microcredit is positioned as one of the strategic instruments in efforts to empower the economy of low-income communities, especially through increasing access to financing, income generation, and social welfare. This research uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The study population consisted of 100 micro-entrepreneurs in the two villages who had received microcredit from local financial institutions. The variables analyzed include ease of credit access (X1), credit repayment (X2), income (Y), and community welfare (Z) which acts as a mediating variable. The results of the analysis show that easy access to microcredit does not have a significant effect on income or community welfare. In contrast, the variable of microcredit repayment has a positive and significant effect on community welfare. In addition, income also has a positive and significant influence on welfare, indicating that an increase in income is a key factor in determining the economic and social welfare of microcredit recipient households. This finding confirms that the success of the microcredit program is more influenced by the effectiveness of the management and sustainability of the credit repayment system, rather than solely by the ease of access to financing.

This study investigates the strategic strengthening of the rambak cracker industry as an instrument for local economic development in Penanggulan Village, Pegandon District, Kendal Regency. Rural agro-processing enterprises have increasingly been recognized as territorially embedded production units capable of generating value-added outputs and absorbing surplus labor within localized economic systems. Field-based empirical observations reveal that rambak production in the village operates through household-managed processing systems characterized by traditional production techniques, informal managerial practices, and limited digital marketing adoption despite contributing significantly to community income generation. Data obtained from expert respondents were analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process to identify strategic priority determinants influencing industrial competitiveness and sustainability. The results indicate that product innovation and quality improvement constitute the primary strategic priority, followed by digital marketing development and institutional partnership strengthening, while production capacity expansion remains comparatively less influential in enhancing market competitiveness. These findings suggest that adaptive innovation and digitally enabled commercialization pathways function as critical mechanisms for improving value-chain integration and expanding market accessibility among rural food-processing industries. Strengthening innovation ecosystems within the rambak sector may therefore contribute to employment creation, income diversification, and sustainable community-based economic transformation in rural production clusters.

This study aims to analyze the potential of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in enhancing the local economy through a case study of the Nay-Nay beverage business in Medan City. The research focuses on the contributions of MSMEs to job creation, income generation, improvement of purchasing power, development of local human resource skills, and the involvement of the local community in supply chain activities. A qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation analysis for data collection. The findings indicate that Nay-Nay plays a significant role in strengthening the local economic structure. The business creates employment opportunities for the surrounding community, increases household income, and contributes to the development of workforce competencies relevant to the food and beverage service industry. Moreover, the inclusion of local suppliers in the procurement of raw materials and distribution processes generates a multiplier effect that stimulates the local business ecosystem. Nonetheless, the enterprise faces notable challenges such as limited access to capital, price volatility of raw materials, and intense market competition. Overall, this study affirms that MSMEs are crucial drivers of inclusive and sustainable economic development and highlights the need for policy interventions that enhance managerial capacity and improve access to financing for small business actors.

Economic growth in Bali Province is predominantly driven by the tourism, service, and agricultural sectors, which play a vital role in the region’s development and income generation. Over the 2014–2024 period, however, the province has experienced a fluctuating and generally declining growth trend, influenced by both internal and external economic dynamics. This study aims to examine the influence of unemployment, district minimum wage (Upah Minimum Kabupaten/Kota—UMK), and education on economic growth across the nine regencies and cities in Bali Province. Employing a quantitative approach with an associative research design, the study utilizes panel data that combines cross-section data (9 regencies/cities) and time-series data spanning 2014–2024, yielding a total of 99 observations. To ensure robust estimation, panel data regression analysis was conducted, with the Random Effect Model (REM) selected as the most appropriate method based on the results of the Hausman test. The empirical findings reveal that, simultaneously, unemployment, UMK, and education have a significant influence on regional economic growth in Bali. Partially, education exerts a positive and significant effect, indicating that improvements in educational attainment and quality can drive higher productivity and foster sustainable economic development. Conversely, UMK demonstrates a negative and significant impact, suggesting that increases in the minimum wage, while beneficial for workers’ welfare, may impose financial burdens on businesses—particularly small and medium-sized enterprises—thus potentially slowing economic activity. Similarly, unemployment has a negative and significant effect, underscoring its detrimental role in limiting economic output and household income. These results emphasize the need for policymakers to strike a balance between enhancing workforce welfare through wage regulations and ensuring that such measures do not hinder economic competitiveness. Furthermore, strengthening education policies, improving access to quality learning, and aligning educational outcomes with labor market demands are crucial for supporting long-term economic growth in Bali.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in Indonesia's economic development, contributing to employment, income generation, and entrepreneurship. However, many MSMEs face challenges in adapting to technological advancements, particularly in implementing digital marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze how digital marketing can accelerate the development of MSMEs in Indonesia through a literature review approach. The findings highlight that digital marketing provides MSMEs with opportunities to expand their market reach, increase brand visibility, and optimize costs. Social media platforms, e-commerce, and other digital tools enable MSMEs to connect with customers more effectively. Despite these benefits, barriers such as limited technological access, lack of digital literacy, and uneven internet infrastructure hinder the adoption of digital marketing. Collaborative efforts from the government, educational institutions, and the private sector are necessary to overcome these obstacles. Providing training, improving access to technology, and fostering innovation are crucial steps to support MSMEs in achieving sustainable growth.
