Based on the current existing conditions, Perumnas IV frequently experiences challenges in both the maintenance of its facilities and infrastructure and the perception of its residents. This study aims to: 1) Determine the morphology and typology of the Perumnas IV Padang Bulan area, 2) Determine the level of feasibility of the infrastructure based on SNI 03-1733-2004, and 3) Determine public perception of the infrastructure based on existing conditions and research analysis results. The research method used by the author in this study is a mixed method using an Explanatory Sequential Design approach and a comparative approach. The difference in feasibility percentages between SNI and public perceptions explains that residents have become accustomed to living with the existing facilities and infrastructure, so that the suitability between existing conditions and applicable technical requirements is not a problem in daily life.

Overcapacity in Correctional Institutions is a structural problem that is still a serious challenge in the correctional system in Indonesia. This condition is characterized by the number of inmates that far exceeds the ideal capacity, resulting in a decrease in the quality of coaching, health services, and security. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause overcapacity in prisons and the impact they have on the effectiveness of the correctional system. The method used is a normative juridical approach supported by empirical data from relevant agency reports. The results of the study show that the main factors causing overcapacity include the high crime rate, criminal policies that are still oriented towards prison sentences, and limited correctional facilities and infrastructure. The impact of overcapacity is very felt in the implementation of inmate development. Crowded housing conditions also increase conflicts between inmates, the spread of infectious diseases, and violations of basic rights. In addition, the limited number of correctional officers causes supervision to not run optimally and has the potential to trigger deviant practices in prisons. Therefore, it is necessary to reformulate penal policies through the optimization of non-prison penal alternatives, institutional capacity building, and strengthening rehabilitation and social reintegration programs to realize a more humane and just correctional system.

Slums are an urban issue that arises due to rapid population growth and the limited capacity of local governments to provide adequate housing and basic infrastructure. This leads to areas with low environmental quality, limited access, poor drainage, and high socio-economic vulnerability. A similar phenomenon occurs in Jambi City, which requires a sustainable handling strategy. This study aims to analyze the strategies implemented by the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas of Jambi City in addressing slums and assess their contribution to environmental quality. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to understand the policies, program implementation mechanisms, and institutional challenges. Data was collected through interviews with government officials, field observations, and analysis of planning documents. The results indicate that the strategy focuses on improving basic infrastructure, such as road construction, drainage rehabilitation, and the provision of settlement facilities. This program enhances environmental quality and accessibility but faces challenges such as budget limitations, suboptimal inter-agency coordination, and the socio-economic conditions of the community. Addressing slums requires a more comprehensive approach, including collaborative governance, increased community participation, and adaptive policies to ensure sustainable improvements.

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Public Internet Program in Tanjungpinang City in supporting digital inclusion. Based on the 2018-2023 Strategic Plan document from the target of 100 points, only 34 public wifi points were realized. The evaluation was carried out using the theory of William N Dunn (2003), using six indicators, namely, effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of 12 informants. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the program has been running but not optimal. This can be seen in the effectiveness indicator where the placement of access points is less strategic, because it is located in upper-class housing which generally already has its own internet access, then the network quality is less stable with the bandwidth provided of 20 Mbps through a scramble system where the ideal standard according to the IT perspective is 2 Mbps per user outside watching YouTube. In the efficiency indicator, from 2013-2023 the realization did not reach the target set at the beginning, then the lack of maintenance resulted in 8 internet points not working. The adequacy indicator has not been said to be optimal in meeting needs through value, opportunity, and method adjustment as evidenced by the fact that there is no national standard as a reference in program implementation and unclear location data collection. In the equity indicator, there is a mismatch in infrastructure facilities, small areas have not been reached, and there is 1 location point that is locked. The responsiveness indicator is good, but there is still low participation from the community. Finally, the accuracy indicator is directed towards the community, but the implementation is not in accordance with the needs, and has not reached the initial target.

This study aims to assess the feasibility of facilities and infrastructure at the Dok IX Flats (Rumah Susun) located in Tanjung Ria Sub-district, North Jayapura District, Jayapura City, based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-1733-2004, as well as residents’ perceptions. The research uses a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected through field observations and questionnaires distributed to 43 respondents using the Likert scale. The results show that, in general, the housing complex is considered feasible, with an average score of 70 or 76.1%. Facilities such as education, health, worship, green open space, road access, and drainage are considered adequate. However, inconsistencies were found in the disaster mitigation system. Although categorized as "Feasible," field observations revealed damaged evacuation routes and the absence of essential firefighting equipment (APAR). In conclusion, the Dok IX Flats are generally suitable for habitation, but urgent improvements are needed, particularly in the disaster mitigation aspect, to ensure the safety and comfort of the residents.

The increasing population triggers a demand for land for housing and other activities. Along with this, issues arise regarding the limited availability of land, especially in rapidly developed areas. This limitation has the potential to create an imbalance between the growing need for space and the existing land capacity. This study evaluates the land carrying capacity in four sub-districts in the southern part of Medan City, namely Medan Tuntungan, Medan Johor, Medan Amplas, and Medan Denai, in dealing with the continuously growing population. Using a spatial analysis approach with ArcGIS 10.8 software and detailed spatial data, this research identifies potential areas for residential development and projects the capacity of land to accommodate future populations. The analysis covers physical and environmental aspects such as land slope, soil type, natural disaster risks, and access to public facilities. The results show that each sub-district has different potentials and challenges. Medan Tuntungan, with its large area and flat land conditions, shows significant potential for residential development, although attention must be given to the existence of protected areas and agricultural land that must be preserved. Medan Johor, as an economic center, faces substantial pressure on land use, with some areas nearing their maximum capacity. Medan Amplas and Medan Denai, which are more urban, experience stricter land limitations. Population growth projections indicate a significant increase in land demand in some sub-districts in the coming decades. Without effective management, this has the potential to exert high pressure on the environment and urban infrastructure. This research emphasizes the importance of spatial planning and sustainable development policies to maintain a balance between housing needs and environmental conservation.

Housing is a collection of houses as part of settlements, both urban and rural, which are equipped with public infrastructure, facilities and utilities as a result of efforts to provide livable houses. If you look at the definition of housing, you can see that infrastructure, facilities and public utilities are requirements that must be completed in housing. In fact, when the housing is still under construction, housing marketing through a preliminary sale and purchase agreement system can only be carried out after there is certainty about several things, one of which is the availability of infrastructure, facilities and public utilities. Quantitative data from interview results is described in a frequency table qualitatively and descriptively. The data that has been obtained through research activities is analyzed qualitatively. Qualitative analysis is used to describe the data obtained, both primary data and secondary data, which is then followed by interpretation and conclusions. Implementation of the procurement of public facilities and social facilities is a mandatory requirement that must be provided by the developer/developer to obtain a building construction permit (IMB) from the Spatial Planning and Building Service. Where housing is a collection of houses as part of settlements, both urban and rural, which are equipped with infrastructure, facilities and public utilities as a result of efforts to provide livable houses. The implementation of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance requires community involvement to achieve its goal of providing livable houses for the implementation of the Self-Help Housing Assistance Program (BSPS) for Low-Income Communities (MBR) in Negeri Antara Village. As an implementation of the legal basis that has been mentioned, the government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is forwarded to the Directorate General of Housing together with the Directorate of Self-Help Houses to make it easier for the community, especially low-income people, to realize the improvement of uninhabitable houses both from facilities, infrastructure, and public utilities by designing a policy namely Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS). The problem in this research is that there are still inaccurate beneficiaries and there are still beneficiaries who have stopped in carrying out house construction activities due to lack of self-help funds. The purpose of this research is to find out data related to the principles of accuracy and justice in terms of the Evaluation of the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) in Negeri Antara Village, Pintu Rime Gayo District, Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province, which is known that the BSPS program is a program of the Ministry of Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia in order to support poverty reduction and efforts to prosper the poor so that they can have a decent home in a healthy environment.

In daily life, waste is something that is always there. Finding out about the current waste management system in Medan Krio, Sunggal subdistrict, and Deli Serdang district is the goal of this study. Qualitative research using a descriptive observational design is the methodology employed. The study employed various research techniques, including field surveys, participant-led focus groups, open interviews, and literature reviews. Representatives from the Environmental Agency, village heads, village representative bodies, youth organizations, and village organizations were among the participants in this study. The study's findings indicate that the village's waste management is still inadequate. This is because there isn't enough land to erect temporary shelters, the infrastructure and facilities are still subpar, and there is still a low level of public awareness of the significance of proper waste management. A budget for the purchase of land that will be used for temporary housing should be included, along with recommendations for routine village clean-up schedules and socialization about proper and ethical waste management.

At this time, the government is very aggressive in implementing programs to reduce poverty in this country. One of the programs currently running is Self-Help housing stimulant assistance (BSPS) or commonly known as house renovation. To encourage and increase self-sufficiency in improving the quality of houses and building new houses, along with infrastructure, facilities and public utilities (PUPR Ministerial Regulation Number 07/PRT/M/2018). However, the implementation of this assistance program currently still uses conventional methods in collecting data, one of which is data on uninhabitable houses. Every country has a responsibility to fulfill the needs and rights of its citizens to adequate housing, either directly or indirectly. The current condition in Kendal Regency is that ownership of livable houses is still not affordable for some people, this is clearly seen by the existence of slum settlements even in big city areas. There are still many residents who do not have access to their rights to livable housing due to financial limitations. At the requirements engineering stage, the waterfall model is used with the application of a geographic information system. The results of system testing show that the system runs properly according to design.
