Poverty is a complex problem that is still difficult to solve in almost all regions of Indonesia. Poverty is a measure of negative social conditions arising from increasing poverty. West Java is one of the areas that has a relatively high poverty rate and is increasing every year. It uses a panel data model with an estimated fixed effect model for 9 cities from 2017 to 2021. The purpose of this research is to analyze how and how much unemployment and HDI affect the poverty in West Java province. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) which is processed. The results state that partially and simultaneously the unemployment variable and the human development index do not affect poverty.

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education and standard of living. HDI explains how the population can access development outcomes in obtaining income, health, education, and so on.but in Indonesia even in Banten itself it is not spared from problems such as poverty and unemployment. The purpose of this study is to analyze how and how much poverty and open unemployment rates affect the human development index in provincial districts and cities in the period from 2018 to 2021. This research uses quantitative research using panel data method. The purpose of this study is to analyze how and how much poverty and open unemployment rates affect the human development index in provincial districts and cities in the period from 2018 to 2021. This study was compiled to find out the results of an analysis of the factors that influence the human development index in DKI Jakarta Province for the 2017-2021 period. The human development index explains how people can access development outcomes in terms of income, health, education, and so on. HDI is based on three basic dimensions which include: 1. Long and healthy life (a long and healthy life); 2. Knowledge; 3. Decent standard of living. The purpose of this study is to analyze the components of each dimension that underlies the human development index, such as the Morbidity factor which is an extension of the dimensions of longevity and healthy life, the Net Enrollment Rate (APM) factor which is an extension of the education dimension, and the open unemployment rate factor. which is an extension of the dimension of a decent standard of living. These three components are used as independent variables to analyze their influence on the human development index in the DKI Jakarta province for the 2017-2021 period. This study is also used to rank the components that have the most influence to those that have the least impact on the HDI for DKI Jakarta province for the 2017-2021 period. This study uses Eviews-10 with time series data sourced from the DKI Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS) web for the period 2017-2021. The research method used is the VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) which functions as an approach to predict long-term and short-term relationships in one time series data to other time series data. The results of this study say that the TPT variable (open unemployment rate), Morbidity Rate, and Net Participation Rate (APM) only make a small contribution to the Human Development Index in districts/municipalities in the Province of Jakarta. In the analysis results of the f test and t partial test, only two variables namely TPT (open unemployment rate) and morbidity have an influence on HDI. Meanwhile, the APM variable (pure enrollment rate) has no effect on HDI.

Based on the fundamental aspects of people's living standards, the measure of progress in human development is called the Human Development Index. As the basis for the development structure of a region, the Human Development Index (HDI) is the most significant benchmark or parameter. The purpose of this study is undoubtedly to ascertain whether poverty in DKI Jakarta Province is influenced by the Human Development Index (IPM) variable. To achieve the research objectives, tests were conducted using simple regression analysis and quantitative techniques. The test results show that poverty in DKI Jakarta Province is significantly affected by the Human Development Index (HDI) because the significance value is less than 0.05. Because the value of determination, or R2, is close to 1, and some of the other influence values are influenced by other variables that have not been analyzed or researched, the value of the results of the Variable Human Development Index (HDI) test has a strong positive influence on poverty in DKI Jakarta Province.

The problem that almost every developing country faces is poverty, and Indonesia is no exception. The root of the problem of poverty is that people cannot live properly. This has an impact on the quality of human resources, thereby reducing productivity and lowering the income of the community itself. Community income, unemployment, health, education and environmental conditions are factors that influence the occurrence of poverty problems. The poverty rate in North Sumatra is still relatively high compared to other regions, but North Sumatra is not included in the 10 poorest areas in Indonesia. Analyzing the effect of HDI on poverty is the aim of this study. This study uses simple regression for the research method and is processed using the help of SPSS 26 software. Through this study it can be seen that HDI has a significant effect on poverty in North Sumatra.

The Human Development Index (HDI) & expenditure inequality for each province in Indonesia need to be studied whether the Human Development Index (HDI) and expenditure inequality in each district/city in Banten Province have an influence or not. The independent variable is the Human Development Index (HDI) and the dependent variable is expenditure inequality. The research method used is quantitative method using document data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in Banten Province. The results showed that the Human Development Index (HDI) had no significant effect on expenditure inequality. Where if there is a decrease in the Human Development Index (IPM) it is not certain that it will reduce Inequality in Banten Province.
