Riau Province is one of the largest contributors to GRDP in Indonesia with several leading sectors. This study aims to determine the leading sectors or base and non-base sectors in Riau Province. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Riau Province Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The data was processed and analysed using the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis method. The results of Location Quotient (LQ) analysis show that there are 3 basic sectors or leading sectors in Riau Province for the 2018-2022 period. It is known that there are 3 basic sectors or leading sectors in Riau Province, the 3 sectors are the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector, the Mining and Quarrying sector, and the Manufacturing Industry sector with LQ analysis values of 2.15, 2.23, and 1.52, respectively. While the other 14 sectors are non-base sectors. For this reason, the government must better understand what sectors need to be improved and the need for cooperation from many parties so that these leading sectors can be maintained and further developed in the following year.

Still today, Indonesia's agricultural industry provides the bulk of the country's GDP. Agricultural output and job prospects are deteriorating as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is particularly severe from 2020 to 2022. These underlying causes highlight the need of having a framework to estimate and anticipate output for the next year. The objective is to examine how the transition of farm and non-agricultural labour has affected family welfare in the districts of West Aceh and South Aceh. Shift Share and Location Quotient (LQ) are the tools used in this study. Using the contribution criterion in particular, LQ analysis is a powerful analytical technique for revealing an area's economic foundation. One way to look at regional economic development is via shift share analysis, which tracks how a key indicator of regional economic growth changes or increases over a certain time period. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries make up the basic sector in South Aceh Regency's LQ calculation. The manufacturing industry, construction, financial and insurance services, and government administration, defence, and compulsory social security make up the other three subsectors. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing make up the backbone of West Aceh Regency's LQ calculation. The quarrying and mining industry. All sectors in South Aceh Regency had a negative value in the GRDP of South Aceh Regency shift share study, which suggests that overall, the sectors in South Aceh Regency are not expanding faster than their counterparts in Aceh Province and West Aceh Regency. All of the sectors in West Aceh Regency's GDRP are positive, which indicates that overall, the South Regency's sectors are developing at a quicker rate than both Aceh Province and South Aceh Regency's sectors.

Empat Lawang Regency, once classified as a disadvantaged region, has made significant progress in improving the welfare of its population. This is reflected in the declining poverty rate and increasing Human Development Index (HDI). However, the region's economic growth, as measured by GRDP and GRDP per capita, lags behind other regions in Sumatera Selatan. This research seeks to pinpoint the key economic sectors driving Empat Lawang Regency's development by employing a combined analysis of LQ, Shift Share, and Tipology Klassen. The analysis results indicate that no sector can be unequivocally classified as a leading sector in Empat Lawang Regency. Nonetheless, several sectors such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries, wholesale and retail trade, also the other sectors exhibit potential for further growth. These findings underscore the importance of targeted policies and investments to stimulate economic growth and enhance the livelihoods of the local population.

The purpose of this research is to identify in Mak Teduh Village, where most of the area consists of peatland with oil palm, rubber, and acacia plantations, the local potential that can be developed into superior products for the village as a means to enhance the community's economy through development focused on the sustainability of resources and the environment. The identification method is applied by the OVOP (One Village One Product) criteria and SWOT analysis. The results of the research indicate several local potentials that can be developed into superior products, namely creative industries in the form of pandan leaf crafts and crafts from recycled plastic, fisheries such as salted fish, and livestock including acacia honey cultivation. In addition, there is also the potential for tourism that can be developed. Based on the OVOP criteria and SWOT analysis, the potential of the village that can be developed as a flagship product is in the cultivation of acacia honey. The availability of land and bee feed in acacia and palm plantations, as well as opportunities in national and international markets, means that acacia honey cultivation also provides a chance for communities to engage in sustainable businesses while enhancing public awareness of forest and environmental conservation. The cultivation of acacia honey also serves as a preventive solution to the cases of forest and peatland fires that frequently occur in Mak Teduh Village.

This study aims to analyze the relationship between macrozoobenthos Gafrarium pecinatum density and water quality at two water stations determined based on the turbidity of the research location on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in Pengudang waters and Monday, May 27, 2024 in Dompak waters. Field data analysis was carried out in the Marine Biology laboratory of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries UMRAH. This study used a random sampling method with sample collection carried out at two predetermined research stations. The results showed that Gafrarium pecinatum is a macrozoobenthos species found in both research locations, with differences in the number of individuals between stations. Evaluation of water quality showed that most of the chemical and physical parameters were still within the established quality standard limits, but the temperature parameter at station 2 slightly exceeded the quality standard limits. Nonetheless, the water conditions at both sites can still be considered suitable to support the life of marine biota. Further monitoring is required to maintain the sustainability of the coastal ecosystem.

Abstract The objectives of this study were to identify the social strata/layers of the fish farming community in Samarinda City and to determine the strategy for aquaculture development in Samarinda City. Respondents in this study were selected using purposive sampling with a total of 26 respondents from fish farmers and 5 staff of the Fisheries Service. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative and SWOT analysis. The results of the study found that there are two social stratifications in the cultivation community in Samarinda City, namely middlemen/collecting traders and owner fish farmers. Positions as middlemen/collecting traders and fish farmers are status roles that are obtained because they are fought for through their own choices or efforts (achieved status). The top social layer is occupied by middlemen or collecting traders by looking at the level of wealth owned (ownership of vehicles, living conditions and ownership of luxury goods). The strategy that can be carried out for the development of aquaculture in Samarinda City is an aggressive strategy, namely optimizing technology and infrastructure to support the marketing of aquaculture products.

The Bolotomo cattle breeder group in Wingkosigromulyo Village, Nkombol District, Purworejo Regency, has been established since 2010 with the help of subsidies from the local Livestock Service. Initially, they focused on producing organic fertilizer, but switched to the feeder cattle and meat business because the selling price of fertilizer was low. Livestock management is still traditional, and concentrate feed is rarely used because it is expensive and difficult to obtain. In the dry season, food availability is limited, and rice straw and field grass are the main food sources. The service activity by Tidar University students aims to help farmer groups overcome the feed crisis with technology for making pellets from local materials. Demonstration of making pellets using a mixture of calliandra leaf flour, rice bran, pineapple peel, molasses and tapioca flour. Pellets have the advantage of improving feed quality, consumption efficiency and shelf life. Farmers also shared their experiences and expressed the need for processing livestock waste, such as biogas plants, to reduce pollution and increase income. Integration between the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors is the focus for sustainable development.
