This community service activity aims to improve the First Aid Awareness of students at SMAN 5 Tegal through health education and first aid simulation for accident management. The background of this program is based on the high potential for mild to moderate emergency incidents in the school environment, such as fainting, open wounds, nosebleeds, choking, and seizures, as well as the limited knowledge and practical skills of students in providing appropriate initial assistance. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation, delivery of health education using presentations and demonstrations, and hands-on simulation, followed by evaluation through knowledge assessment and skills observation. The participants were 54 students representing three grade levels. The expected outcomes of this activity include an improvement in students’ conceptual understanding and practical ability to perform first aid quickly, correctly, and safely before professional medical help arrives. In addition, this program is expected to foster emergency responsiveness, increase students’ confidence in handling accident situations at school, and contribute to the development of a safer and more prepared school environment. The outputs of this activity include increased knowledge and skill scores, documented implementation, and publication of a community service article in a SINTA-indexed journal.

Breast cancer and cervical cancer are two leading causes of death among Indonesian women, yet they are preventable through early detection. Tanjung Anom Village in Pancur Batu Subdistrict is a rural area with low health literacy, particularly regarding cancer screening. This community service aimed to improve women's knowledge and awareness through SADARI (Breast Self-Examination) training and IVA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) examination. A community-based participatory approach was applied, involving health cadres, village leaders, and women of reproductive age as key participants. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge scores, from an average of 52.4 to 76.2 after the intervention. A total of 48 women voluntarily underwent the IVA test, and a Women's Health Working Group was established to sustain ongoing education. The emergence of local leaders and collective awareness reflects a successful health-based social transformation. This program has proven effective and can be replicated in other rural settings.

School Health Business (UKS) is a program that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among students. Health services at UKS include providing medicine for students who experience minor illnesses. However, a shortage of pharmacists in schools can increase the risk of errors in medication management and threaten patient safety. Teachers play an important role in providing first aid and coordinating medical emergencies at school. Teachers also play a role in providing education about health to students, including correct medication management. This activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of UKS managers about the importance of correct medication management, as well as encouraging behavioral changes in obtaining, using, storing and disposing of medication (DAGUSIBU) correctly. This research aims to explore the role of Emergency First Aid (PPGD) education as a tool to strengthen life skills in junior high school (SMP) students. PPGD education is very important to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills needed in emergency situations. At the junior high school level, many students still do not understand how to handle emergency situations, so this educational program is designed to increase their readiness to respond to various emergencies quickly and effectively. This research also highlights challenges in implementing the PPGD curriculum, such as availability of resources, teacher training, and effectiveness of teaching methods. In addition, the level of awareness of students and schools about the importance of PPGD skills was also analyzed, considering that low understanding can hinder the effectiveness of this program. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a significant contribution to improving students' life skills through more integrated health education in schools. PPGD education that is successfully implemented is expected to make junior high school students better prepared to face emergency situations, and able to provide fast and appropriate first aid.

The development of self-reliance is of utmost importance for inmates within the prison environment. Furthermore, it serves to instill awareness in inmates, preventing them from repeating their transgressions and violations of the law, and aiding their reintegration into society upon their release by utilizing life skills acquired while in prison. The research method employed in this study is of a qualitative nature. The self-reliance development program for creating life skills among inmates at Class IIA Purwokerto Prison includes collaborating with Vocational Training Center (BLK) officers, the Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, as well as the Department of Agriculture and Food Resilience. These parties provide specialized training materials in their respective fields. The training materials offered to inmates encompass topics such as agribusiness, animal husbandry, and barbershop skills. The hindering factors that make this process challenging and less effective are primarily rooted in the individual motivations of the inmates, as they may lack the drive to fully engage in the self-reliance development program.
