Arabic is a foreign language which is quite difficult to understand for children who are just learning another language, besides their mother tongue. There are many obstacles encountered by educators in the introduction of Arabic to children. It is very important for the teacher to choose the right method to make learning more fun and easy to understand. Therefore in this study the researcher has the goal of increasing children's understanding of learning Arabic using the Total Physical Response method. This research was conducted at MIN 14 Hulu Sungai Tengah. This study uses a qualitative descriptive field research method. The results of this study indicate that the TPR method: easy to understand and apply, does not require more power, does not require additional fees, contains elements of game movement so that it can relieve stress on children, learning time becomes more efficient, communication between teachers and children becomes more effective the child becomes more expressive

This study aims to find and analyze the intrinsic elements contained in the short story "Robohnya Surau Kami" by AA Navis. This research was conducted within the scope of the field of literature and was carried out using qualitative methods and descriptive data analysis techniques. In this research, it is necessary to study documents and study literature. In the world of education, the teacher's role is not only AS a provider of material, but also AS an educator who teaches character for each student. Educators AS examples and reflections in the world of education that teach how to shape students with character. One way to shape the character of students is through a literary work. Literary work is something that is conveyed communicatively both orally and in writing in which there is a message or intention to be conveyed by the author. Through literary works students can easily understand how to build a good character in everyday life, because literary works are also a reflection of life. There are many theories and literary approaches to studying a literary work. One of them is the expressive approach. Through an expressive approach students can recognize the characters in a literary work. One of them is in a short story literary work entitled "Robohnya Surau Kami".

Illocutionary speech acts can be found in everyday life or can also be found in movies which are a reflection of life. The author focuses research questions on (1) directive illocutionary speech acts; and (2) expressive illocutionary speech acts. This research method is descriptive qualitative. This method is used because the author describes the results of the analysis by describing. After conducting the analysis, the writer concludes that directive illocutionary speech acts and expressive illocutionary speech acts found in the dialogue of the film are based on several factors that support the validity of directive illocutionary speech acts and expressive illocutionary speech acts in the dialogue, namely the existence of other meanings from the actors' utterances. as well as the influence that arises from the speaker to the interlocutor.

Speech act is one of the analyzes of pragmatic studies that examines language and relates to aspects of its actual use. One type of speech act is illocutionary speech act. There are many kinds that can be studied using illocutionary speech acts, one of which is speech acts in films. The background of this research is because the film Mariposa by Alim Sudio found many sentences or utterances that refer to the type of illocutionary speech act. This study aims to analyze and describe the types and forms of illocutionary speech acts that exist in the speech of the characters in the Mariposa film. The research method in this study used a pragmatic and qualitative research form. Based on data analysis, it was found that in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film there are 50 illocutionary speech acts which include representative speech acts, directive speech acts, expressive or evaluative speech acts, commissive speech acts, and declaration speech acts. The representative speech acts in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film consist of fifteen utterances. There are sixteen directive speech acts in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film. There are eleven expressive or evaluative speech acts in the Mariposa film by Alim Sudio. There are four commissive speech acts in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film. There are four speech acts of declaration in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film. Then, the benefits of research on illocutionary speech acts in Alim Sudio's film Mariposa are to have a critical understanding, broaden horizons, increase knowledge and knowledge from analyzing illocutionary speech acts through films.

Latar belakang: Mahasiswa tingkat akhir memiliki tanggungjawab menyelesaikan tugas akhir yaitu menyelesaikan karya tulis ilmiah sebagai syarat kelulusan dan memperoleh gelar. Dalam proses menyelesaikan karya tulis ilmiah terdapat berbagai kendala yang menyebabkan stress pada mahasiswa. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilmelakukan terapi expressive writing. Tujuan : menggambarkan penurunan skor stress pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan terapi expressive writing. Metode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan metode pendekatan studi kasus. Subyek dalam penelitian menggunakan dua orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang mengalami stress ringan sampai stress sangat berat. Penilaian skor stress diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS). Hasil: Hasil studi kasus didapatlan bahwa skor stress pada subyek I dengan skor 41 dengan kategori stress sangat verat turun menjadi skor 20 dengan kategori stress sedang, dan untuk subyek II dengan skor 39 dengan kategori stress sangat berat turun menjadi 20  akukan dilakukan untuk mengurangi stress adalah dengan dengan kategori stress sedang. Saran : terapi expressive writing dapat digunakan dalam menurunkan skor stress pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang menyelesaikan karya tulis ilmiah
