Widespread structural poverty is one of the tangible effects of a capitalist economic system that emphasizes capital accumulation and economic growth without regard for equity and social justice. This situation has prompted the Church to reexamine its role in a world marked by inequality and marginalization of the poor. This article aims to analyze the relevance of Pope Francis' thinking in the apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium as a theological and pastoral basis for the Church's stance towards the poor. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach through document study, with Evangelii Gaudium as the main source, supported by relevant social theology literature and academic studies. The results of the study show that Pope Francis comprehensively understands poverty in three dimensions, namely material, moral, and spiritual poverty. Through Evangelii Gaudium, the Church is called to experience a change in its mission, from a self-centered Church to a Church that moves outward and is actively involved in the liberation of the poor. Thus, the Church not only carries out charitable works, but also acts as an agent of social change that brings the joy of the Gospel, justice, and hope to a world wounded by structural injustice.

The purpose of this online social service is to present the importance of solidarity in economic principles for better prospective prosperity. This online social service has educational material based on the social teachings of the Church, Article Gaudium Evangelii and previous research from prof. Lazlo Zsolnai who stated that an economic system with spirituality has a solutive effect on the economic crisis. This Community Service emphasizes spirituality embodied in solidarity needs to be implemented. The background to this Community Service Event is that this was due to the emergence of a massive economic crisis during the pandemic since early 2020. Therefore, the need for scholars to try to overcome the structural causes of poverty. The results shows that 63% participants believe that  Spirituality, or love for God and others will trigger a love for life and an economic system that is in solidarity for the common good.

Today Christians has faced various challengge that plunge many christian into consumerism, terrible sadness, hedonism and covetous. As the result many christian become selfish, irritable, and  egoist. For that  reason, Pope Francis urged  many  preachers should  work  hard  in proclaiming the gospel especially through homilies because homilies beyond all form of catechesis. This paper aims to explore Pope Francis' theological ideas about concerning homily. In a way of exploring the theological conception regarding homily, the writer treats the apostolic exhortation of evangelii Gaudium article number 135-159.
