Clean and healthy living habits are an essential foundation in shaping a generation that is mindful of personal and environmental health. These habits need to be instilled from an early age, both at school and at home, so that they can become a sustainable part of students' lifestyles. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of students at SD Negeri 1 Mertoyudan in consistently applying Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS) in their daily lives. The implementation methods comprised three main approaches: interactive discussion-based education, a demonstration of proper handwashing techniques in accordance with WHO standards, and hands-on practice in maintaining personal hygiene. These approaches were chosen to ensure that students not only understand the concept of PHBS theoretically but are also able to apply it independently in real-life situations. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of the importance of washing hands with soap at critical moments as a form of personal hygiene responsibility. Through a demonstrative approach that involved active student participation, participants were able to practice proper personal hygiene steps accurately and confidently. This activity is hoped to have a long-term impact in shaping students who are disciplined, responsible, and attentive to both personal and environmental health, while also serving as an effective preventive measure in reducing the risk of infectious diseases among school-age children.

Dental and oral health is an essential part of overall bodily health. The high prevalence of caries and cavities in children is generally caused by a lack of tooth-brushing skills. Incorrect techniques and improper duration cause food residue to remain, which ultimately triggers the demineralization of the tooth enamel. This socialization activity aims to provide education on the importance of brushing teeth with correct and effective techniques for elementary school students. The activity was conducted at SDIT Al-Azhar Kediri City, using a practical and interactive simulation approach; starting with a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a demonstration of proper tooth-brushing techniques using teaching aids. There were 84 children involved in this activity, and the results showed that approximately 90% of the participants could correctly answer the questions provided. Consequently, this socialization activity successfully increased the participants' knowledge and understanding of maintaining dental and oral health

Bullying remains a serious issue in elementary schools, affecting children’s psychological, social, and academic well-being. Limited student understanding of the forms and impacts of bullying encouraged students of the Community Service Program (KKN) from Mayjen Sungkono University to implement an anti-bullying education program at Tawar State Elementary School. This activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of bullying while fostering empathy and care toward peers. The program employed an educative–participatory approach through presentations, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and ice-breaking activities tailored to the characteristics of elementary school students. The participants consisted of 39 students from grades 4 and 5. Evaluation was conducted through observations of student participation, enthusiasm, and their ability to answer questions related to the delivered material. The results indicated that most students were able to understand the concept of bullying, its types, negative impacts, and prevention strategies. Furthermore, students began to apply anti-bullying values in their daily social interactions within the school environment. Anti-bullying education is expected to serve as a preventive measure in creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive school environment that optimally supports students’ growth and development.

The Low reading interest among elementary school students remains a problem encountered in various rural areas, including at SD Negeri 30 OKU in Batumarta 1 Village, Lubuk Raja District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The limited availability of attractive and easily accessible literacy resources is one of the contributing factors to low student reading habits. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase student reading interest by providing comfortable, educational, and child-friendly reading corners. The implementation method includes initial observation, providing and arranging reading corners, providing age-appropriate reading books, and mentoring and socializing the use of reading corners to students and teachers. The provision of reading corners is carried out through community service activities by university teams or volunteers, by providing bookshelves, various types of story books, children's encyclopedias, and interactive reading materials. To demonstrate the benefits of reading corners, comfort zone arrangements, regular reading schedules, and various literacy games are implemented to increase student engagement. The results of the activity show an increase in student interest in reading activities, as seen from the increased frequency of student visits to the reading corners and active participation in independent reading activities. In addition, teachers also feel the benefits of reading corners as a supporting tool for the learning process. Thus, providing a reading corner can be a simple but effective solution in fostering a culture of literacy and increasing the reading interest of elementary school students in the school environment.

This study aimed to investigate the implementation of the BERDES (Bersih Desa) Program as an innovative strategy to foster environmental awareness among elementary school students at SD Negeri 2 Demulih. The program was designed using a participatory approach based on the Participatory Action Learning Sistem (PALS) method, which engaged students as active participants in identifying problems, planning, executing, and evaluating real actions in their school and local community environments. The research found that active student involvement in cleaning activities, waste management socialisation, and collective reflection significantly enhanced positive attitudes and social responsibility towards environmental conservation from an early age. Despite challenges such as limited frequency of program activities and common misconceptions about waste classification (organic, inorganic, residual), the BERDES program successfully served as an effective educational tool that embedded environmental care values among rural youth. The findings emphasised the critical role of schools as centres for environmental character education that combine theoretical knowledge with practical engagement to address real environmental issues.
