Choux pastry relies heavily on eggs to form its cavity structure and sensory characteristics. The use of duck eggs can improve physical quality due to their higher protein and fat content compared to chicken eggs. This study aims to analyze the differences in organoleptic quality between choux pastry with 100% chicken eggs and 25% duck egg substitution. The experimental quantitative study involved 50 panelists using a hedonic scale questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 25% duck egg substitution significantly improved texture firmness and provided a more savory taste. However, in terms of aroma, the sample with duck egg substitution scored lower due to a sharper fishy aroma. Although 25% duck egg substitution effectively improved the physical structure, it is recommended to add aromatic ingredients to reduce the distinctive duck egg aroma. These findings provide insights into the development of choux pastry with duck egg substitution to improve physical quality without sacrificing desired organoleptic characteristics.

Calcium deficiency among Indonesian adolescents remains a nutritional concern that necessitates the development of food products utilizing alternative calcium sources. Eggshell powder has potential as a calcium fortification ingredient due to its high calcium content and abundance as food waste. This study aimed to analyze the effect of eggshell powder substitution on the organoleptic characteristics and acceptability of oatmeal cookies among adolescents aged 10–15 years. This experimental study used a Completely Randomized Design with four substitution levels: 0% (F0), 5% (F1), 6% (F2), and 7% (F3). Organoleptic quality testing was conducted by three trained panelists, while hedonic testing was performed by 30 adolescent panelists on selected formulas (F0, F2, F3), analyzed using the Friedman test (α = 0.05). Organoleptic quality results showed that F2 and F3 had characteristics closest to the control, while F1 showed higher negative attribute intensity in taste and texture parameters. Hedonic test results showed no significant differences between formulas across all parameters (p > 0.05), with mean scores ranging from 3.87 to 4.63 out of a scale of 5 (very much liked). Formula F3 is recommended as the best formula as it demonstrated acceptability comparable to the control while containing the highest calcium substitution level.

Helminth infections caused by Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) and Taenia sp. remain a major public health concern in tropical regions, including Indonesia, particularly among elementary school children. This study aimed to identify the presence of eggs and larvae of intestinal nematodes and cestodes in fecal samples collected from elementary school children in Bekoso Village, East Kalimantan. The research employed a descriptive survey method with a cross-sectional approach, and laboratory examinations were conducted using the Kato-Katz technique. A total of 16 fecal samples were examined to detect Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm, and Taenia sp. eggs. The results showed that 12.5% of samples were positive for hookworm eggs, 12.5% for Taenia sp. eggs, and 6.25% for Ascaris lumbricoides eggs. These findings indicate that poor personal hygiene and inadequate environmental sanitation contribute to an increased risk of intestinal helminth transmission. The study highlights the importance of preventive efforts through the promotion of clean and healthy living behaviors, consistent use of footwear, handwashing with soap, and community participation in mass deworming programs to reduce the prevalence of intestinal helminth infections among elementary school children.

Crackers are snacks that are popular with various age groups, but generally have a relatively low calcium content so they do not contribute to meeting daily mineral needs. Therefore, food product innovations are needed to increase their nutritional value, one of which is by utilizing purebred chicken egg shells as a natural source of calcium. This study aims to analyze the effect of purebred chicken eggshell flour substitution on the acceptability of crackers and determine the best formulation as a high-calcium snack. The research method used an experimental design with a Complete Random Design (RAL) consisting of four treatments, namely P0 (100:0), P1 (90:10), P2 (85:15), and P3 (80:20). The testing is carried out qualitatively through organoleptic tests which include color, aroma, taste, and texture. The data was analyzed using the one-way ANOVA test and followed by the Post Hoc Kruskal-Wallis test if there were significant differences. The results showed that the best formulation was found in the P1 treatment with a 10% substitution of eggshell flour. Overall, the substitution of purebred chicken eggshell flour had no significant effect on the acceptability of crackers.

Unhealthy dietary patterns are usually associated with the consumption of purine-rich foods. These foods can increase blood uric acid levels because dietary purines are metabolized into uric acid. This study aims to examine the relationship between dietary patterns and uric acid levels among community members in Baitussalam Health Center, Aceh Besar. This research employed a quantitative, analytical-descriptive design and a cross-sectional method. The study consisted of individuals diagnosed with gout at Baitussalam Health Center. The population consisted of 453 patients. The sample was 81 patients selected using accidental sampling technique. The data were collected using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ. The uric acid levels were measured using an Auto-check device. Univariate and bivariate analyses were performed, with the Chi-square test used to determine the association between variables. The findings showed that 35 respondents with good dietary patterns (85.4%), 6 respondents had normal uric acid levels (14.6%) and 35 repsondent had abnormal levels (87.5). In contrast, among those with poor dietary patterns had bad dietary intake 40 respondents with 5 respondents (12.5%) had normal uric acid levels, while 35 respondents (87.5%) had abnormal level. Bivariate analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. These results prove a significant relationship between dietary patterns and uric acid levels. This study recommends that community members improve their dietary habits by consuming low-purine foods such as fruits, green vegetables, eggs, low-fat milk, and carbohydrate sources (e.g., rice and potatoes). Increasing water consumption is highly recommended to help reduce uric acid levels.

Soil-transmitted helminth (STH) infections remain a public health problem among children in tropical regions with high environmental exposure. One potential but underexplored transmission route is toenails, which may serve as a mechanical medium for helminth egg contamination. This study aimed to analyze the association between personal hygiene and STH contamination on children’s toenails in Polimak 1, Jayapura City. An observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among school-aged children selected based on inclusion criteria. Personal hygiene data were collected using a structured questionnaire, including handwashing practices, footwear use, and nail care habits. STH contamination on toenails was examined microscopically, and statistical tests were applied to assess associations. The results showed that STH contamination on toenails was still present in a considerable proportion of children, with Ascaris lumbricoides eggs being the most frequently detected. Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between personal hygiene and STH contamination on toenails (p < 0.05), including handwashing habits, footwear use, and nail care practices. This study concludes that personal hygiene plays a crucial role in STH contamination on children’s toenails, and toenails can be used as an indicator of environmental exposure. These findings highlight the importance of consistent personal hygiene practices in preventing helminth infections among children.

Dowry and slaves are two different things. Mahar is property or something given by a husband to his wife as part of their marriage. This is supported by a hadith from Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam which says "Marry a woman with a dowry even if it's only a piece of egg." (Narrated by Bukhari). Meanwhile, slaves are human beings who are the same as other people and have rights that must be respected. There are several hadiths from Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam which emphasizes protection for slaves. One example is "Indeed Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will empower three people: a young man who is given an advantage by Allah in worship, a man who donates alms in secret so that his left hand does not know what his right hand is doing, and a slave owner who are honest and treat them well." (Narrated by Bukhari). This shows that slaves must be treated fairly and well by their employers and must not be seen as merchandise or exploited to work without pay.

According to Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory, mental disorders occur due to conflicts between the id, ego, and superego that give rise to anxiety and abnormal behavior. At the Pamardi Raharjo Banjarnegara Social Service House, this conflict is diverted through a skills guidance program that aims to improve the independence and quality of life of Beneficiaries (PM). The program includes training in doormat crafts, salted egg making, paving blocks, and flannel crafts, each of which is guided by a dedicated mentor and followed by a stabilized PM. The activity of making mats aims to train motor skills and social interaction and produce products with selling value. The making of salted eggs not only teaches production skills, but also fosters confidence and economic independence. Paving block activities are more focused on motor training and cooperation between PMs even though they are not yet worth selling. Meanwhile, flannel handicrafts guided by Mbak Retno became a new activity that provided space for expression and creativity. All of these activities are designed to distract PM's passive behavior and equip them with useful practical skills after leaving the orphanage. Thus, skills-based approaches have proven to be effective in supporting the overall rehabilitation and empowerment process of PM.

Business ventures are activities carried out by individuals or organizations involving the production, sale, purchase, or exchange of goods and services, with the aim of generating profit. A basic necessities store (commonly known as a “sembako” store in Indonesia) sells daily staple needs, especially the nine essential commodities (sembako), which include items such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, eggs, salt, and other key food ingredients. UD. Putri 2, located in Dusun 1A, Sumber Harapan Village (21261), Tinggi Raja Subdistrict, Asahan Regency, was established in 2018 and has since become an essential part of the local community. This has required UD. Putri 2 to constantly monitor their stock inventory. However, the company still faces inefficiencies in managing sales data processing, which often leads to inventory shortages. When the supply of goods is insufficient to meet customer demand, customers may turn to other stores. If this occurs repeatedly, the store risks losing profit due to the unavailability of goods. Supply Chain Management (SCM) refers to the integrated processes and production activities starting from the acquisition of raw materials from suppliers, the value-adding processes that turn raw materials into finished products, the inventory storage process, and the distribution of finished goods to retailers and consumers. The implementation of SCM can optimize inventory management of staple goods, minimize inventory costs, and improve supply chain efficiency at UD. Putri 2.

One of the various salted egg products with smoking methods is smoked salted eggs which have a distinctive aroma and taste. This study aims to determine the effect of smoking and storage time  and its  interaction on  smoked salted  eggs  with on  physical  and  chemical  properties, total microbes as well. This research is experimental by using ducks eggs and a mixture of coconut shells and fibers, and rice husks as smoke fuel. The experimental design used is Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a 3x5 factorial pattern. As the first factor (P) is the smoking time which consists of P0= 0 hours, P1= 12 hours, P2= 15 hours while the second factor (H) is the storage time which consists of H0= 0 days, H1=7 days, H2= 14 days, H3= 21 days, and H4= 28 days. The variables observed were egg weight, albumen and yolk pH, moisture content, protein, and total microbial colony of smoked salted eggs. The results of the study were that the smoking time of 15 hours resulted in the lowest weight of smoked salted eggs (56.13g), while the storage time decreased the pH of albumen. Smoked salted duck eggs have a moisture content of 58.435-67.149%. The length of smoking increases the protein level. Salted duck eggs with a smoking time of 15 hours have the highest protein content, which is 15.39%. however, the duration of smoking and storage did not affect the total microbes of smoked salted eggs and there was no interaction between the duration of smoking and the duration of storage on the physical, chemical and total microbial properties.

Intensive exploitation of fish for caviar production currently threatens the extinction of sturgeon, one of the ancient fish species. Sturgeon egg harvesting is often carried out in inhumane ways, such as dissecting and killing parent fish, causing the natural sturgeon population to decline. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) regulates the international trade of sturgeon and caviar, but weak law enforcement, high market demand, and widespread illegal trade all exacerbate the conservation status of this species. Conversely, caviar aquaculture, often considered an alternative, raises new bioethical issues, including long-term stress on fish, disease spread, decline in animal health, and the risk of hybridization that could threaten the genetic integrity of sturgeon populations. From a bioethical and environmental ethics perspective, it is difficult to justify the consumption of caviar as a luxury commodity at the expense of ecosystem sustainability and animal welfare. Therefore, sturgeon conservation requires a comprehensive approach that includes reducing consumer demand, improving legislation and enforcement, and preserving and restoring sturgeon's natural habitats.

This study aims to examine the development of Islam during the Umayyad Dynasty as one of the important periods in the history of Islamic civilization. The main focus of the discussion is directed at the process of the emergence of Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan as the first caliph of the Umayyad Dynasty and his efforts to establish dynastic power after the Islamic Civil War (Fitnah Kubra). The Umayyad Dynasty played a strategic role in the transformation of the Islamic government system from an elective caliphate to a hereditary monarchy, while simultaneously expanding the territory of Islam to various regions. This study uses a literature review method with a historiographic approach, namely examining and analyzing relevant classical and modern historical sources. The results show that during the Umayyad Dynasty, Islam experienced significant developments in the aspects of politics, government administration, military, and culture. However, internal political dynamics, conflicts over the legitimacy of power, and dissatisfaction of certain groups also contributed to weakening the stability of the dynasty. This study also describes the process of decline of the Umayyad Dynasty until its eventual collapse and replacement by the Abbasid Dynasty.
