This study examines the effect of working capital on firm performance and sustained growth among consumer non-cyclicals manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over the period 2019–2023. Working capital is operationalized through three distinct proxies derived from Akgün and Memiş Karatəs (2021): the Cash Holding Level (CHL), which measures the proportion of cash and cash equivalents relative to total assets; the Cash Interactive Effect (CIE), which captures the efficiency of converting revenue into operating cash flow; and the Gross Working Capital Ratio (GWCR), which reflects the share of current assets within total assets. Firm performance is assessed through Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Tobin’s Q, while sustained growth is measured using the model proposed by Gerson et al. (2025), expressed as SG = b × ROE, where b denotes the earnings retention ratio. Panel data regression analysis is applied to 225 firm-year observations drawn from 45 companies. The study employs the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) for ROA and ROE, and the Random Effect Model (REM) for Tobin’s Q, as determined by the Hausman specification test. The findings reveal that CHL and CIE exert significant positive effects on ROA and ROE, while CIE is the only proxy to produce a statistically significant positive effect on Tobin’s Q. With respect to sustained growth, CHL and GWCR demonstrate significant negative effects, whereas CIE shows a significant positive effect, indicating that operational efficiency dimensions of working capital actively support long-term growth sustainability. These results reinforce the liquidity management theory and contribute empirical evidence that the structure and efficiency of working capital are strategic determinants of both short-term financial performance and long-term growth sustainability in Indonesia’s consumer goods manufacturing sector.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), financial performance, and Earning Per Share (EPS) on firm value. The object of this research consists of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2021–2024. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of annual financial statements as the primary source. The sample was selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria, ensuring that only companies with complete data and consistent reporting were included in the analysis. The independent variables analyzed include the audit committee, independent commissioners, institutional ownership, Return on Assets (ROA), and Earning Per Share (EPS). Multiple linear regression analysis was used to process the data in this study, allowing the researchers to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of the variables on firm value. The findings indicate that firm value is significantly influenced by financial performance, particularly ROA, highlighting the importance of operational efficiency and profitability in enhancing shareholder wealth. While certain GCG variables such as institutional ownership showed positive influence, other elements like audit committees and independent commissioners produced mixed results, suggesting that governance mechanisms may have varying effects depending on organizational context. Meanwhile, EPS demonstrated inconsistent results in relation to firm value, implying that market perceptions of earnings may not fully capture the impact on overall firm valuation. This study provides insights for policymakers, investors, and corporate managers on the relative importance of governance and financial indicators in value creation for state-owned enterprises.

Indonesia's increasing economic growth has intensified competition in the business world, particularly in the Indonesian banking sector, from conventional to sharia-compliant. Furthermore, the entry of foreign banks has made business activities in Indonesia increasingly complex. The stock market is a crucial source of funding for companies. Publicly listed companies can increase their funding sources by selling ownership in the capital market. Dividends are the distribution of company earnings to shareholders in the form of cash, assets, or other forms. Dividend policy is a policy for sharing company profits with shareholders, which is announced in the form of dividends and retained earnings for the benefit of company growth. The proportion of dividends distributed to shareholders depends on the company's profitability and dividend policy. The percentage of profits distributed to shareholders in the form of dividends is called the Dividend Payout Ratio.Differences in calculations in determining financial ratios in banking companies are an interesting focus in this study. The study results show quite significant results between financial ratios and managers' decisions in making dividend policy decisions. In the future, the results of this study are expected to be a consideration and reference for investors who want to enter the world of investment, especially in the banking sector.

Shares trading below their intrinsic value present compelling return opportunities, particularly for long‑term investors. This study aims to assess the valuation of eight food‑and‑beverage issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over the 2021–2025 period using two market‑based valuation instruments: the Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) and the Price to Book Value (PBV). A quantitative descriptive design was employed, and a purposive sampling technique selected eight issuers: INDF, ICBP, MYOR, ROTI, GOOD, CLEO, CMRY, and CAMP. The sectoral benchmarks obtained were an average industry PER of 22.64 times and an average industry PBV of 3.45 times. Comparative analysis reveals that INDF (PER 7.38x; PBV 0.59x), ICBP (PER 17.60x; PBV 1.83x), ROTI (PER 18.86x; PBV 2.47x), and CAMP (PER 16.59x; PBV 1.78x) are undervalued relative to the industry average and therefore merit consideration as buy candidates, while MYOR, GOOD, CLEO, and CMRY are overvalued. INDF emerges as the most attractive investment candidate because its PBV remained consistently below 1.00 throughout the observation window, a condition recognized in value‑investing literature as deeply undervalued. The findings reinforce the argument that combining PER and PBV serves as a reliable tool for identifying high‑potential stocks from a fundamental analysis perspective.

This study investigates the determinants of dividend payout policy in energy sector firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. Dividend policy is a critical issue in emerging markets, especially in capital-intensive industries with high investment needs and earnings volatility. The research examines whether profitability and ownership structure—specifically institutional and managerial ownership—significantly influence dividend payout decisions, considering firm characteristics. The study analyzes the effect of profitability, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership on the dividend payout ratio, while controlling for firm size and leverage. A quantitative approach is used, employing pooled ordinary least squares (OLS) regression on 245 firm-year observations. Dividend payout ratio is measured as dividend per share divided by earnings per share, profitability is proxied by return on equity, and ownership variables are expressed as shareholding proportions. Descriptive analysis and classical assumption tests precede hypothesis testing. The results show that profitability positively and significantly affects dividend payout, suggesting that firms with better financial performance tend to distribute higher dividends. Firm size also positively influences dividend policy, while leverage negatively impacts it, reflecting the role of financial capacity and capital structure. However, institutional and managerial ownership do not show significant effects on dividend payout decisions. The findings indicate that dividend policy in Indonesian energy firms is primarily driven by financial performance and structural characteristics rather than ownership-based governance mechanisms. This study offers sector-specific evidence that refines agency and signaling perspectives on dividend policy in emerging markets, with practical implications for managers, investors, and regulators.

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability ratios, namely Earnings per Share (EPS), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE), on the stock price of PT Ciputra Development Tbk during the 2016–2023 period. The research employs a quantitative approach with a causal research design using secondary data derived from quarterly financial statements and stock closing prices published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), simultaneous testing (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that EPS, NPM, and ROA do not have a significant effect on stock prices, while ROE has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all profitability variables do not significantly influence stock prices. The coefficient of determination indicates that profitability ratios explain a relatively small proportion of stock price variation, suggesting that stock prices in the property sector are influenced more by external and market-related factors than by short-term profitability indicators. These findings imply that ROE is the most relevant profitability indicator for investors in assessing property sector stocks, while other profitability ratios play a limited role.

Dinamika Akuntansi Keuangan dan Perbankan 2025 Faculty of Economic and Business Universitas STIKUBANK

This study investigates the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Risk Ratings on stock prices of companies listed in the ESG Leaders Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020–2023. Using the Ohlson (1995) valuation model as the theoretical framework, the research examines the value relevance of financial information—proxied by Book Value per Share (BVPS) and Earnings per Share (EPS)—and non-financial information in the form of ESG risk ratings. The study employs purposive sampling, resulting in an unbalanced panel dataset of 120 firm-year observations. Panel regression analysis with the Random Effect Model (REM) is applied, supported by classical assumption tests and sensitivity analysis. The findings reveal that BVPS has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, highlighting its role as a stable and value-relevant measure for investors. By contrast, EPS shows a positive but insignificant relationship, confirming the declining relevance of earnings in the Indonesian market. Moreover, ESG Risk Ratings exhibit a negative but statistically insignificant effect, suggesting that while firms with higher ESG risks tend to be valued lower, sustainability considerations are not yet consistently incorporated into equity valuation by Indonesian investors. These results imply that financial fundamentals, particularly BVPS, remain the dominant factor in stock price determination, whereas ESG information has not yet achieved value relevance in the Indonesian context. The study underscores the need for stronger regulatory enforcement, standardized ESG disclosure, and greater investor awareness to enhance the integration of sustainability risks into capital market decision-making.

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance on firm value in transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The research uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative method, employing secondary data obtained from annual financial statements and capital market databases. Financial performance is measured using three indicators—Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE)—while firm value is measured using Earnings Per Share (EPS) and Price to Book Value (PBV). Data analysis is conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS). The results show that financial performance has a positive and significant effect on firm value, as indicated by a path coefficient of 0.8622, a t-statistic of 31.2125, and a p-value of 0.000. These findings imply that the better a company’s financial performance, the higher its firm value. The results also support the Signaling Theory, which explains that strong financial performance serves as a positive signal to investors about a company’s future prospects. The study highlights the strategic importance of profitability improvement, cost efficiency, and transparency in financial reporting to enhance firm value and strengthen investor confidence, especially in the transportation sector that plays a crucial role in post-pandemic economic recovery.

This study aims to analyze the effect of dividend policy and profitability on shareholder wealth in companies listed in the High Dividend 20 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. The research adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the official IDX website (www.idx.co.id ).The population includes all issuers in the High Dividend 20 Index during the research period, and purposive sampling was applied to select 12 companies as the final sample. Data analysis techniques involved classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing to determine the influence of independent variables on shareholder wealth. The statistical analysis was performed using EViews 12 Student Version software. The findings reveal that the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) does not have a significant effect on shareholder wealth, implying that dividend distribution is not the main factor influencing investor value in the observed companies. In contrast, Return on Assets (ROA) demonstrates a significant positive effect, which highlights the importance of profitability in driving shareholder wealth. These results suggest that investors may place greater emphasis on a company’s ability to generate earnings rather than its dividend distribution policy when assessing firm value. The study contributes to the literature on dividend policy and corporate performance by providing evidence from the Indonesian capital market, particularly within firms that consistently distribute high dividends.

A company's financial performance is one of the main indicators in assessing the health and sustainability of a business entity's operations. Evaluation of financial performance is crucial, especially for large companies operating in strategic sectors such as telecommunications. PT. XL, as a telecommunications company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, requires regular performance assessments to provide a clear picture of the effectiveness of its business strategy and its ability to generate profits. This study aims to analyze PT. XL's financial performance using a profitability ratio approach. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, utilizing secondary data sourced from the company's financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and other financial statements for the 2021–2023 period. The profitability ratios analyzed include Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Gross Profit Margin (GPM), and Earnings Per Share (EPS). These five ratios were chosen because they are able to describe the company's ability to generate profits, both in terms of sales, total assets, and shareholder equity. The analysis results indicate that PT. XL's financial performance during the study period is still less than optimal. This is reflected in the profitability ratio, which is below the average standard for the Indonesian telecommunications industry. This condition indicates that the company has not been able to optimally manage its resources to generate competitive profits. This finding has important implications, namely the need to evaluate financial management strategies, operational cost efficiency, and improve service quality to increase company profitability in the future. Therefore, this study confirms that profitability ratio analysis is a crucial instrument for assessing a company's financial condition and serves as a basis for formulating performance improvement strategies.

This study analyzes the effect of Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Earnings per Share (EPS), and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) on the stock prices of firms listed in the SRI-KEHATI Index during 2020–2024, employing a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression. The sample was selected purposively based on the following criteria: firms consistently included in the SRI-KEHATI Index throughout 2020–2024, availability of complete annual financial statements, and availability of dividend and stock price data for the observation period. The results indicate that TATO, EPS, and DPR jointly have a significant effect on stock prices, with R²=0.666, meaning 66.6% of the variation in stock prices is explained by the model, while 33.4% is influenced by other factors outside the model. Partially, EPS and DPR have positive and significant effects on stock prices, whereas TATO is not significant at the 5% level. The findings imply that investors in SRI-KEHATI constituents should prioritize per-share profitability (EPS) and dividend policy (DPR) in fundamental assessments, while TATO should be evaluated with regard to sectoral characteristics and each firm’s operational context.

Underpricing continues to be a prominent issue within the Indonesian capital market, as many firms conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO) tend to set initial share prices below their subsequent market value. This research investigates the moderating role of underwriter reputation in the relationship between profitability, financial leverage, and earnings per share (EPS) on IPO underpricing among firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Utilizing a purposive sampling technique, the study analyzes data from 176 companies. The data are processed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of STATA software. The findings reveal that profitability, measured by return on assets (ROA), significantly influences underpricing. In contrast, financial leverage (proxied by the debt-to-equity ratio) and EPS show no statistically significant effect. Moreover, underwriter reputation is shown to moderate the negative impact of both ROA and EPS on underpricing but does not moderate the relationship between the debt-to-equity ratio and underpricing. These results offer valuable insights into signaling theory and information asymmetry, highlighting the importance of firm fundamentals and intermediary reputation in IPO pricing strategies. The study contributes to a better understanding for investors, issuers, and regulators involved in the IPO decision-making process.

This study aims to examine in depth the influence of financial variables consisting of Current Ratio (CR), Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Earning per Share (EPS) on Stock Returns in primary consumer sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018–2022 period. This study uses a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data in the form of annual reports published through the official websites of each company and the Indonesia Stock Exchange page, so that the data used can be accounted for its validity. Sample selection was carried out through a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria resulting in 15 sample companies with a total of 75 observation data which were then analyzed using Eviews 13 statistical software. The analysis focused on partial and simultaneous relationships between variables to determine how much each factor contributed to the movement of Stock Returns. The results showed that the Current Ratio had no significant effect on Stock Returns with a probability value of 0.4079, so that company liquidity in the short term was not a major determining factor for investors. Return on Equity also did not show a significant effect with a probability value of 0.2591, indicating that the company's efficiency in generating profits from shareholder equity has not been a consistent benchmark for investment returns. Conversely, the Debt to Equity Ratio was shown to have a significant negative effect on Stock Returns with a probability value of 0.0053, meaning that the higher the company's leverage level, the greater the risk borne, thus implying a decrease in investor interest and a decrease in returns. Earnings per Share also did not have a significant effect on Stock Returns with a probability value of 0.2989, indicating that although EPS is one of the fundamental indicators, in the context of this research period its effect was inconsistent on the returns received.
