This study aims to analyze the role of internet technology in enhancing the competitiveness of ebusiness in Indonesia, particularly in the sector of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Based on theoretical reviews, internet technology, e-business, technology adoption (TAM), and the concept of competitiveness serve as the main foundations for understanding the ongoing digital transformation. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique, involving five informants consisting of digital SME owners, online store managers, and users of service platforms. Data were collected through interviews and observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the internet plays a crucial role as an essential infrastructure that enhances marketing effectiveness, expands market reach, and improves operational efficiency. Marketplaces, social media, and delivery-service platforms contribute significantly to sales growth and service quality. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, platform commission fees, changes in social media algorithms, and uneven infrastructure development still limit optimal utilization. From a policy perspective, the study recommends strengthening digital infrastructure and improving national digital literacy. This research emphasizes that the success of e-business depends on technology access, human resource competence, and support through public policy. It can be concluded that internet technology serves as a vital foundation for e-business competitiveness in the digital era.

Right now, the utilization of data and correspondence innovation fundamentally affects different business areas, including producing. One arising idea is e-business, otherwise called electronic business. This idea underlines data exchanging and paperless exchanges through different innovations like Electronic Trade of Data (EDI), email, electronic notice sheets, electronic assets move, and other organization based propels. An e-business data framework is a gadget, innovation, or system that uses equipment, programming, organizations, and human insight to interface, do exchanges, and complete different hierarchical exercises without being restricted by time or area. The utilization of e-business data frameworks is a significant instrument that associations use to further develop business activities at the nearby and worldwide level. Indonesia is one of the trailblazers in web-based business and internet business. Nonetheless, the potential presented by e-business haven't completely taken advantage of by business affiliations.

This study analyzes the impact of implementing Indonesia’s Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law) on cybersecurity in the e-business sector. Using a normative qualitative approach through literature analysis, this research examines the regulation’s implications for technical infrastructure, compliance procedures, and human resource capacity development within e-business operations. The findings indicate that although the PDP Law provides a comprehensive legal framework and human-centered principles for personal data protection, its implementation faces technical, operational, and economic challenges, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). These challenges include limited security infrastructure, lack of technical expertise, and high investment costs. Nevertheless, adopting strategies such as multi-layer security architecture, zero-trust security model, privacy by design, and strengthening human resource capacity can enhance consumer trust, industry credibility, and the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s e-business sector. This study contributes to the literature by bridging the gap between personal data protection regulation and cybersecurity practices while offering strategic recommendations for both business actors and regulators.

The rapid growth of e-business in the digital transformation era has brought significant cybersecurity challenges. This study aims to analyze holistic defense strategies to comprehensively protect e-business assets and operations. Utilizing a systematic literature review of 50 reputable scientific publications (2020–2024), the study identifies five key pillars of cybersecurity strategy: (1) multi-layered security architecture, (2) AI-powered threat detection, (3) Zero Trust security model, (4) continuous security monitoring, and (5) human-centric security culture. The integrated implementation of these pillars has been shown to reduce cybersecurity risks by up to 78% and accelerate threat detection by 89%. These findings highlight the importance of integrating advanced technologies, mature processes, and strong security awareness to establish a resilient cybersecurity ecosystem for e-business.

This research investigates the management of cyber incident risks in e-business environments with an emphasis on reducing financial losses and reputational impact. The increase in digitization in the business world correlates with the rise of cyber threats that can cause significant financial losses as well as long-term reputational damage. This systematic review evaluates recent research (2022-2025) from various academic databases such as PMC, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, and Scopus. The aim of this study is to discover effective risk management tactics, rapid incident response mechanisms, and ways to mitigate financial and reputational losses in e-business. The literature review highlights the importance of having a comprehensive risk management framework, a direct threat monitoring system, and a planned reputation recovery strategy. Research findings indicate that a proactive approach to cyber risk management not only functions to protect financial assets but also to maintain consumer trust and business continuity. Cooperation among stakeholders such as technology, management, and regulators is key in creating a cyber-resilient e-business ecosystem.

This research explores the crucial role of cybersecurity in building and maintaining digital trust for e-business sustainability. The rapid digitalization era has increased business dependence on digital platforms but also brought cyber risks that can threaten customer trust and operational sustainability. This systematic literature review analyzes recent research (2021–2025) from various academic databases including Google Scholar, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and ACM Digital Library. The research objectives are to identify the impact of cyber incidents on customer trust, analyze digital trust-building strategies, and formulate recommendations for e-business sustainability. Study results show that cyber incidents can reduce customer trust by up to 60% and cause average financial losses of $3 million per incident. However, implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, communication transparency, and rapid recovery can restore trust and enhance business resilience. The research emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach that integrates security technology, risk management, and crisis communication to build a sustainable and trusted e-business ecosystem.

Determining the best hosting service provider is a very important first step in starting a digital business. Mistakes in choosing a hosting service will have fatal consequences for the continuity and smooth running of a digital business. This research aims to select the best hosting service in the form of a Decision Support System (SPK). Determining the best hosting service provider is very important because hosting is one aspect that determines the success of an e-business. This research uses the PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation) method to determine the ranking of the best hosting service providers. The performance assessment of hosting service providers was carried out from January to April 2024. This research was carried out using data from 9 alternatives and 5 criteria which are crucial aspects in hosting services, namely, loading time, server uptime, number of downtimes, support and user friendliness. In this research, it was found that the hosting service provider Niagahoster was the first ranked alternative with a net flow value of 0.75.

In an increasingly advanced world, technology can be realized by micro, small and medium business entities (MSMEs). One of the marketing media that is currently in great demand by MSMEs to support sales and promotions is digital marketing. This progress is considered very useful as a business marketing strategy which is also carried out by MSMEs. Use of e-business, e-commerce and social media to support MSMEs in the areas of promotion, marketing and sales. The purpose of this research is to identify the business income obtained and the importance of implementing digital marketing after using digital marketing. The results of this research found the importance of implementing digital marketing in the process of advancing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). So Digital Transformation can help organizations change the way they operate, increase their ability to adapt to change, and improve the quality of their services.

Opportunities for crime in the digital business world include various forms of threats, such as system hacking, theft of personal data, financial fraud, and other criminal acts that can harm companies and damage consumer trust. Digital business is a business activity that in its implementation utilizes technology as a medium, either when creating or in a series of marketing activities. In an effort to deal with opportunities for crime in the world of e-business, companies must prioritize information security, strict policy implementation, education and training for employees, as well as partnerships with security and government agencies. This research uses a qualitative literature study method by obtaining secondary data through published journal articles with the question "Are there many opportunities for crime in the utilization or use of e-business?". Based on this, it is clear that there are still many opportunities for crime in the digital business world and continue to occur, where the crimes that often occur are fraud, hacking, as well as cybercrime and cyberfraud.

This rapid development of technological knowledge can help humans fulfill the new order of civilization in the era of technology that was created to make daily work easier. Computers are not only used as electronic typewriters but have been used to increase work and business productivity. An information system is a system that provides information for the decision-making process at every level in an organization. Network users control what they do through graphical applications prepared for the user. All data including electronic mail (e-mail), databases are stored on the server. Special servers for the internet or even for certain internet functions are the heart of information on the internet. Getting many benefits from the internet, for example reducing communication costs, improving communication and coordination skills, distributing knowledge and providing facilities for e-business or e-commerce, including reducing communication costs. In this article the author explains the implementation of the internetworking concept (internet and extranet), the benefits of using each and the development that can be carried out from the internetworking concept, components and forms of application of the internetworking.

  Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah merambah dunia usaha dan kini terintegrasi dan berjejaring secara global. Perusahaan dapat berimprovisasi dan beradaptasi dengan inovasi digital dalam mengembangkan dan mempertahankan bisnis di era inovasi digital yang dibawa oleh kemajuan ilmiah. Sebaliknya, perusahaan yang tidak siap dengan fenomena ini akan menghadapi tantangan yang dapat merugikan perusahaan itu sendiri dalam jangka panjang. Dalam studi ini, peneliti akan menganalisis bagaimana E-Business bernasib selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penelitian kepustakaan untuk analisis kualitatif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ide e-business memang memberikan bisnis yang efisien dan produktif. Namun, untuk mencapai hal ini, pengusaha harus mematuhi pedoman untuk bertahan dalam bisnis di era pandemic covid-19.

This study aims to determine the design of e-business strategies, especially in the culinary field in the Home Industry. Currently,many small and medium entrepreneurs use internet technology to increase their competitive advantage in selling culinary businesses. One popular strategy is the use of e-business, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram to improve the performance of business operations. However,to implement an e-business strategy, sellers needa model that can attract customers so that they can generate profits. In this study the authors used a theoretical approach which only describes theories as a basis for thinking and literary methods in which this research method retrieves data from a collection of articles, journals and books from all forms of related sources. The author obtains results from research showing that E-Bussines Home Industry is able to generate promising profits and can compete and innovate to produce new products and have high selling value for the progress of Home Industry businesses, especially in the culinary field,now and in the future.
