This study aims to determine the contribution of work-family balance to work engagement in employees in long-distance marriages (LDM). The phenomenon of LDM is becoming increasingly common in the modern workplace, especially for couples who must live apart due to work demands in different locations. This condition can pose challenges in maintaining a balance between work and family life demands, which in turn can affect individual engagement in their work. Therefore, this study is important to understand the extent to which work-family balance plays a role in increasing the morale and work engagement of employees in LDM. This study involved 41 employees in LDM, with ages ranging from 24 to 50 years. The data collection method used two measuring instruments: the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) developed by Schaufeli and Bakker (2004), and the work-family balance scale developed by Carlson et al. (2009). Data analysis was conducted using simple regression analysis techniques to determine the contribution of the independent variables to the dependent variable. The results showed that work-family balance contributed 65% to work engagement in employees in LDM. These findings indicate that the higher the level of work-family balance, the higher the employee's engagement in their work. Therefore, it is important for organizations to create policies and work environments that support work-family balance, especially for employees in long-distance marriages.

Communication tools in today's era that can be carried anywhere are called gadgets. The use of this modern communication tool occurs as an effort to develop technology in the world. Excessive use of gadgets can trigger eye health disorders that result in computer vision syndrome. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between gadget use and visual acuity in students of SDN 1 Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City. The cross-sectional approach is the research method used, the measuring instrument used is a snellen chart and a gadget usage questionnaire. The sampling technique used was Stratified random sampling with a total of 152 students as respondents. The results of the analysis using the chi-square test were obtained in the right eye, most respondents with good duration and position of gadget use experienced mild visual acuity disorders while those who were not good mostly experienced moderate visual acuity disorders. For the distance and lighting categories when using gadgets, respondents both experienced moderate visual acuity disorders. For the left eye of respondents with good and bad gadget use, most of them had mild visual acuity disorders. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the duration, position, and distance of gadget use and visual acuity in students of SDN 1 Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City.

The research method used in this study is the research and development method or also called Research and Development. The research design that will be developed in this study uses the development model presented by Borgan Gall. The product produced in this study is an Arduino Nano-Based Distance Measuring Tool with a Display on the LCD on the Flat Side Room Building Material for Class VIII at SMP Negeri 5 Sepauk. The test subjects of this study included two subjects. The first subject is the validator and the second is class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Sepauk. The analysis technique used is to determine the effectiveness, practicality, and validity. The percentage of effectiveness from the average of the two analyzes obtained a percentage value of 94.06% with Very Effective criteria used in learning mathematics. The results of the combined teacher and student response questionnaires - the average percentage obtained was 89.55% with very practical criteria. The combined results of the average percentage obtained from the percentage of experts and the results of the measurement trials obtained a percentage of 76,36% with very valid criteria.

Remote temperature monitoring is needed in hazardous area conditions or fast data retrieval is needed without being limited by distance. This condition can be overcome by monitoring and measuring the temperature from a remote location using internet technology that is currently developing, namely the Internet of things. There are many implementations of remote temperature monitoring systems, but the measurement results of these sensors sometimes have very significant differences even for measuring the temperature of the same object. This study aims to analyze the implementation of an effective and efficient remote temperature monitoring system. The temperature measurement process uses the LM35 and MLX 90614 sensors based on Internet of things technology using the Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. After obtaining the results of temperature measurements using different sensors, the measurement results are analyzed and compared with standard temperature measuring instruments to obtain an effective and efficient implementation. Based on the analysis, the results of temperature measurements using the MLX 90614 sensor are effective and efficient sensors.
