Sharia financial institutions continue to develop along with increasing public demand for services that comply with sharia principles. Among the various products offered, the Wakalah and Rahn contracts are two important instruments in providing diverse and flexible services. The Wakalah contract, which is a form of representation in transactions, allows customers to appoint a financial institution as a representative in managing their financial affairs. Meanwhile, the Rahn contract, or sharia pawn, allows customers to obtain financing by handing over goods as collateral. This research aims to explore the implementation and benefits of service products in sharia financial institutions that use Wakalah and Rahn contracts. The method used is literature study and case analysis of several sharia financial institutions in Indonesia. The research results show that the use of Wakalah and Rahn contracts not only increases flexibility and security for customers, but also supports the growth and stability of Islamic financial institutions. In addition, products based on these two contracts have been proven to be able to meet the diverse financial needs of society, while maintaining compliance with sharia principles. The rapid development of technology has introduced various language learning resources, including podcasts, which offer authentic audio input but are often underutilized and lack structured application in EFL classrooms. Integrating gamification into podcasts represents a promising approach to enhance students’ engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the impact of gamified podcasts on EFL students’ listening comprehension, learning motivation, and content retention. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving university-level EFL students divided into an experimental group (gamified podcasts with interactive quizzes, leaderboards, and badges) and a control group (non-gamified podcasts). Pre-tests and post-tests assessed listening comprehension, motivation, and retention, with statistical comparisons conducted using t-tests and ANOVA. The results indicate that students exposed to gamified podcasts demonstrated significant improvements in listening comprehension, motivation, and retention compared to their peers in the control group. The interactive and competitive elements of gamification encouraged repeated engagement, active participation, and deeper cognitive processing of audio materials, which strengthened long-term memory and overall learning outcomes. These findings suggest that gamified podcast-based learning not only enriches traditional listening practices but also fosters a more engaging, motivating, and effective EFL learning environment. Consequently, integrating gamification into podcast instruction is recommended as an innovative strategy to support language acquisition and enhance students’ sustained involvement in learning activities.

The promotion and marketing efforts by the Tourism Office of Karimun Regency aim to introduce and effectively promote local tourist destinations to both domestic and international visitors. According to a previous study by Andriani (2020), the development of tourist sites in Karimun Regency has not yet been fully realized by the local government. This research aims to reexamine and optimize Karimun's tourism potential through programs implemented by the Tourism Office, supporting local economic changes. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews with informants, field notes, and relevant official documents. It focuses on examining the promotion strategies carried out by the Tourism Office to increase tourist visits. Based on Kooten's theory, there are four strategic indicators: organizational strategy, program organization, resource support strategy, and institutional strategy. The research results show that all strategic indicators have been implemented well in accordance with funding from the center, providing a positive impact on the development of tourist destinations and increasing the number of tourists who come to visit tourist attractions in Karimun district. However, if funding is not in accordance with the annual plan, the program that has been prepared by the marketing and promotion division will have an impact, hampering efforts to increase tourist visits from both inside and outside Karimun Regency.

This study explores the role of peer mentoring as a strategy to reduce student dropout rates and strengthen social support networks in universities. Using a mixed-methods approach that combined quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the research examined students’ sense of belonging, academic motivation, persistence intention, and access to emotional and academic support. The findings indicate that peer mentoring significantly enhances students’ sense of community, increases their academic motivation, and strengthens their commitment to continue their studies. Compared to other retention strategies such as academic counseling or financial support, peer mentoring provides unique advantages by fostering ongoing peer-to-peer relationships and expanding social networks. Moreover, the study found that mentor–mentee interactions create a safe space for students to share academic challenges, personal concerns, and coping strategies, which contributes to improved well-being and greater confidence in navigating university life. Peer mentoring also offers opportunities for skill development, including communication, collaboration, and self-regulation, making it beneficial not only for mentees but also for mentors. These results suggest that peer mentoring not only mitigates dropout risks but also contributes to building long-term resilience and a supportive learning environment for students. Therefore, universities are encouraged to integrate structured peer mentoring programs into their retention initiatives to promote student success and holistic development.

The integration of local wisdom in the role of village heads as mediators of industrial relations disputes is an effective strategy in rural conflict resolution. Local wisdom, which is a community's traditional knowledge and practices, can be used to understand and resolve complex conflicts. The village head, as a respected figure with traditional knowledge, can serve as an effective mediator in resolving industrial relations disputes. The results show that village heads play an important role as mediators by integrating local wisdom principles such as deliberation, mutual cooperation, and harmony in the mediation process. The custom-based approach proved effective in reaching an agreement that was acceptable to both parties and maintaining social harmony in the village. However, challenges arise when dealing with large companies or disputes involving formal legal aspects. This research provides new insights into the potential integration of local wisdom in the resolution of industrial relations disputes at the village level, as well as the implications for the development of a more contextualized alternative dispute resolution system in Indonesia. The analysis will discuss how the integration of local wisdom in the role of the village head can improve the effectiveness of conflict resolution in rural areas.

This study aims to Improve the Discipline of Fire Fighting Personnel to the Palembang Fire And Disaster Management Service. The results show that from the results of research that has been carried out it can be said that the Strategy for Increasing Discipline of Personnel Related to Fire Fighting Services to the Community at the Palembang City Fire and Disaster Management Service has not been effective because there are several indicators that have not been met from the side of external training that are not. can be followed by all personnel due to limited funds, as well as the support of facilities and facilities that are still not supported. For training activities carried out by employees, namely internal training for Levels I, II and III, while external training is held at the DKI Jakarta Fire Department in Ciracas, and has now been implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs.  The supporting factor in this research is where the ASN development policy, as well as agency support for internal training and personal motivation are the main and important things, although in the future there will need to be other improvements. In addition, the existence of rewards and punishments is also a motivation to improve work discipline. Improving the quality of work is apart from the quality of personnel, also in terms of improving supporting facilities and infrastructure, currently the facilities owned are still not in accordance with the needs, so this is the inhibiting factor in this research. Then a lot of fire fighting equipment is still lacking, be it hoses, pumps, for reasons of budget constraints, of course this triggers the fire fire operation process

This study aims to analyze the potential for social conflict in the development of Sadangserang Flats in Bandung City through a sustainable planning perspective. The research method uses a case study with data collection through in-depth interviews and source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the potential for conflict arises from three main sources, namely changes in land use, inequality in the provision of residential units, and unclear land ownership status. Changes in the function of the Sadangserang Market and Sadangserang Terminal risk triggering rejection from traders and drivers. The imbalance of commercial units and subsidies can cause access conflicts for low-income groups. Uncertainty in land ownership status is also prone to disputes. Therefore, a sustainable planning strategy is needed that involves public participation, socio-economic surveys, and clarification of land status. Thus, it is hoped that Sadangserang Flats can provide optimal contribution to the provision of harmonious and equitable housing in Bandung City.
