Community diagnosis is a strategic step that aims to identify fundamental problems in the community, determine problem priorities, and formulate appropriate solutions to overcome them. One of the identified health issues is a significant increase in cases of mumps (epidemic parotitis), an acute infectious disease caused by the mumps virus, a member of the Rubulavirus genus. This increase in cases was recorded in the Puskesmas work area from the beginning of the year to November 2024. This phenomenon raises concerns regarding the potential for widespread health problems at the community level. Therefore, this intervention activity was carried out with the hope of reducing the incidence of mumps in the Puskesmas work area. The methodology applied in this activity includes data collection through mini surveys, analysis of health determinants using the Blum Paradigm, determination of problem priorities through the Delphi method, and identification of root causes using a fishbone diagram. Based on the results of this analysis, the interventions implemented include counseling on mumps and preventive measures, as well as demonstrations of proper hand washing. The results of the intervention showed a significant increase in knowledge, where all participants (n=40, 100%) obtained a post-test score of ≥ 7, indicating a good understanding of the material presented. In the demonstration session, a number of participants were also able to demonstrate the steps for washing hands according to the correct procedure. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the increase in mumps cases in this area was closely related to community lifestyle factors. Therefore, this intervention is expected to not only increase community knowledge about mumps, but also encourage the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors, especially in the practice of washing hands, as a preventive measure to reduce the number of transmissions and accelerate case handling.

DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) is a disease caused by the aedes virus. WHO states that 4,000 people worldwide have died from DHF, Banjar City in 2024 had 387 cases of DHF. Based on the results of community diagnosis using the ultrasound method, it has been determined that the priority health problem is DHF (Dengue Fever). Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, it was found that the determinant factor of the health problem is non-compliance with the 3M Plus PSN which includes: empty houses are not maintained with damp and dark conditions, the community does not understand and has not implemented the 3M Plus PSN at home, and the community only recognizes DHF prevention efforts limited to fogging. Therefore, we designed innovations through the LASKAR DBD program (Collaborative Strategic Steps for Dengue Fever) with the implementation of activities in the form of revitalizing the DBD center building as a place for socialization and counseling about dengue, fishization by giving guppy fish as larvae-eating fish, held a SAMBEL (Equal Learning) program, namely the installation of 3M Plus PSN stickers in each house as educational material as well as counseling activities for cadres and school children related to DHF, then held a BALADO program (Together Fighting Dengue with ovitrap) which is a modified SAMT ovitrap demonstration activity.

Hypertension is one of the risk factors that most influences the incidence of heart disease, blood vessels and stroke. Hypertension often shows no symptoms, so it is only realized when it has caused organ disorders such as heart dysfunction or stroke. Based on this problem, PBL 2 activities were carried out, by carrying out innovative intervention activities for the SI ELNINO program (Alternative Intervention for Citangkolo Hypertension Reducing Plants) which was carried out so that people would pay more attention to consumption patterns by planting pak choy and celery vegetables as a form of control, namely reducing the blood pressure of hypertension sufferers. . This activity is carried out in the form of counseling and providing education, Training of Trainers, and planting by empowering the Women Farmers Group (KWT) with a vegetable planting movement. This activity was attended by posbindu cadres, KWT, and the Citangkolo hamlet community. Through outreach activities there is a significant increase in public knowledge regarding hypertension as proven by the results of the pretest and posttest with a p-value <0.001.
