Healthy children are in perfect condition both physically, mentally/psychologically and socially (free from disease, weakness and disability). In order for children to grow and develop optimally, children must also be accustomed to healthy living behavior and the Childhood Phase is the developmental phase from the age of 1 or 2 years to 10-12 years, this phase is further classified into two, namely early childhood (small children) between 1-6 years, and later childhood (big children) between 6-12 years. According to the Ministry of Education and Culture, reading mastery is not mandatory for PAUD age children (3-5 years) because this skill will only be taught formally at elementary school level. Children should actually start being taught to read maximally at the age of 4-6 years. Because, this is a golden period for the cognitive development of the brain. In other words, they can absorb lessons and imitate quickly. Brain gym or brain exercise is a touch that can stimulate the work and functioning of the brain optimally, namely further activating the abilities of the right and left brain, so that cooperation between the right and left brain hemispheres can be established. This can improve memory in the child's brain to learn to read.

The elderly are at risk of experiencing cognitive function disorders due to the aging process. Wapuwan Puzzle (Wayang Punakawan) is a game therapy that was developed to improve cognitive function by carrying elements of the art of wayang punakawan characters that are popular with the elderly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the Wapuwan Puzzle on the cognitive function of the elderly. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental with a pre-post design with a control group. The research sample was 38 elderly people using the total sampling technique at the Posyandu Setya Manunggal III. Research instrument using MMSE. Data analysis using Mann Whitney. The results showed that the gender characteristics of the majority of the respondents were female, the average age of the respondents was in the range of 60-74 years, and the education of the respondents was on average not attending school and completing elementary school. The MMSE score of the elderly who received the Wapuwan Puzzle increased significantly than the elderly who did not receive the Wapuwan Puzzle. The results of the Mann Whiteney test obtained a significance value of 0.000 (P value < 0.05) so that it was concluded that there was an effect of the application of the Wapuwan Puzzle on the increase in cognitive function in the elderly at the Setyamanunggal Posyandu III Lempuyangan Hamlet.

Stroke is the main cause of disability and death in the world, which can make sufferers experience a decrease in quality of life, such as common problems from stroke are balance disorders, endurance, walking speed, cognitive function and walking ability. This study aims to determine the effect of task-oriented gait. training on changes in balance, endurance, walking speed, cognitive function and the ability to walk in post stroke patients. This research is a quasy experimental research with a pre-test-post-test two group design approach. This study evaluated the balance, endurance, walking speed, cognitive function and walking ability of post-stroke patients. This research was conducted at RSKD South Sulawesi (Stroke Center) Makassar and RSUD Haji Makassar with a total sample of 15 patients aged 40 years and over, diagnosed with post stroke movement function disorders, confirmed medical records that were scheduled to undergo physiotherapy. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method. Balance is measured by the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), endurance is measured by a 6-minute Walk Test (6MWT), walking speed is measured by a 4-meter Timed Walk (Gait Speed Test), and walking ability is measured by Modified Functional Ambulation Categories (mFAC). Measurements were made before the intervention and after the treatment group and the control group. The results of the intervention group study showed that Task-Oriented Gait Training gave significantly better resultsthan the control group.

Background: Chronic kidney disease is a progressive and irreversible renal function disorder in which the body's ability to fail to maintain the metabolism and balance of fluids and electrolytes causes uremia. One medicine for the treatment of chronic kidney failure is hemodialysis therapy. Ironically, many patients undergoing hemodialysis experience anxiety. This study aims to determine the efforts to overcome the anxiety of chronic kidney failure in patients undergoing hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. Method: The research design used was a descriptive analysis approach survey. The study sample used was kidney failure patients who experienced chronic hemodialysis anxiety and light using consecutive sampling technique. Data obtained in April 2012 by filling out a questionnaire about efforts to overcome data analysis anxiety in univariate. Results: Of the 40 respondents who underwent hemodialysis, there were 28 people (70%) experiencing moderate anxiety and 12 people (30%) experiencing mild anxiety. And to overcome anxiety is 27 people (67.50%) doing cognitive therapy and 13 people (32.50) doing relaxation techniques. Conclusions: Some efforts made such as cognitive therapy and relaxation techniques can reduce anxiety in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis. Keywords : Chronic Kidney Failur; Hemodialysis; Fear

In human development, it is often characterized as a developmental milestone where new behaviors emerge and are increasingly complex as the stages of development appear in this modern era. Development does notoccur at a constant pace. A relatively fast growth (spurt) can be interspersed with slow growth (plateau). Some scholars use such uneven patterns of growth and change as evidence of qualitatively different periods of development. From the results of the study found 3 factors that have the potential to affect the development of each child's reasoning, namely; Hereditary factors (heredity), environmental factors, heredity and environmental factors that interact to form behavior. The characteristics inherited by each child have a sensitive period, namely when children are active and motivated learners and when children construct their knowledge based on experience. In implanting physical and cognitive devices there is thought and language becoming increasingly interdependent; As thought and language begin to fuse, children often talk to themselves which is known as self-talk. Self-talk has an important function in cognitive development: By talking to themselves, children learn to guide and direct their own behavior in the process of performing difficult tasks and performing complex maneuvers_just as adults guide them.
