Digitalization is an effort to utilize digital-based technology to transform previously conventional work systems into more efficient and effective ones, including in the management of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to apply digitalization to corn-based coffe MSMEs in Talang Balai Baru 1 Village, Tanjung Raja District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the production and marketing activities of corn coffe MSMEs still use conventional methods. The implementation of digitaization has not been optimally implemented due to the low digital literacy of business owners and limited time in business managemen. Nevertheless, the initial implementation of digitalization through the use of social media and online sales platforms has had a positive impact in the form of expanding market reach and increasing ease of communication between producers and consumers. Thus, the digitalization of corn coffe MSME products has great potential to increase competitiveness and business sustainability if implemented gradually and continuously. .

This study aims to analyze the influence of interest rates, exchange rates, and coffee production on the value of coffee exports in South Sulawesi. The background of this study is based on the condition of South Sulawesi coffee exports which have experienced significant fluctuations in recent years despite coffee production tending to increase. This study uses a quantitative approach with time series data for the period 2009-2023 sourced from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the Directorate General of Plantations, the Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Service of South Sulawesi Province. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression through the EViews 12 application with the classical assumption test as a model prerequisite. The results show that partially interest rates have a significant effect on coffee exports, while exchange rates and coffee production do not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables do not have a significant effect on the value of coffee exports. This finding indicates that external factors, especially interest rates, are more dominant in determining the performance of South Sulawesi coffee exports than internal factors of production and exchange rates.

Coffee husk is an agro-industrial waste with significant potential to be utilized as a renewable energy source through the fast pyrolysis process. This study aims to analyze and optimize gas production from the fast pyrolysis of coffee husk biomass using a screw reactor through single-particle-based Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. The simulations were conducted by varying the operating temperature at 500°C, 600°C, and 700°C to examine pressure distribution, heat transfer, particle temperature, and the formation of pyrolysis products, namely bio-oil, biogas, and biochar. The modeling was performed using COMSOL Multiphysics 6.2 with a numerical approach to represent thermal phenomena and biomass decomposition reactions during the pyrolysis process. The simulation results indicate that increasing temperature significantly affects the rate of heat transfer and the temperature distribution of coffee husk particles. At 600°C, heat transfer and temperature distribution are more uniform compared to 500°C, although heating at the particle core is not yet fully optimal. The pressure distribution shows a stable flow of pyrolysis gas from the bottom to the top of the reactor. In terms of products, increasing temperature leads to a reduction in biochar and bio-oil formation due to the occurrence of secondary reactions, while biogas production increases. The highest gas production is achieved at 700°C, indicating the most optimal condition for maximizing gas yield from fast pyrolysis. Therefore, single-particle-based CFD simulation can be used as an effective tool to understand pyrolysis mechanisms and optimize process parameters in a screw reactor.

Salem District is one of the largest coffee commodities in Brebes Regency. This significant potential has yet to provide a meaningful contribution to the income of coffee farmers, especially in Gunung Jaya village, Salem District. The low income of coffee farmers is due to the fact that they still sell their coffee products in the form of cherry. Over time, in 2018, farmers began to develop small-scale and simple coffee processing from green beans to roasted beans and coffee powder, pioneered by the SME "Lulumpang Kopi". They still use simple tools and often have to travel out of town to obtain the desired coffee powder. Lulumpang Kopi can produce 100-150 packages of coffee weighing 100 grams. Seeing this potential, the Community Partnership Empowerment team (PKM) from the University of Civilisation and UNSOED, funded by DIKTISAINTEK, is conducting community service this year 2025 using training methods, workshops, and appropriate technology grants. Thus, technology has been granted in the form of 1 Huller machine with a capacity of 150kg/batch, 1 BBM Grinding machine with a capacity of 10kg/batch, and scales. This assistance aims to enhance farmers' capabilities to achieve greater economic independence and improve their competitiveness in the market. As a result of this activity, partners were able to increase the capacity and quality of coffee farmers' production through the grant of equipment such as huller, BBM grinder, and digital scales, making the processing faster, more efficient, and yielding better coffee compared to traditional methods. In addition, the training participants also demonstrated an increase in knowledge through pre-tests and post-tests, rising from 66.5% to 77.3%, an increase of 13.8% from the 40 participants who attended.

Coffee production generates large amounts of solid waste, particularly coffee pulp, which can lead to environmental pollution if not properly managed. This study investigates the utilization of coffee pulp waste as a liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) and its effect on the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings (Coffea arabica L.). The experiment was conducted using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with five treatments (0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 ml/L of LOF) and five replications. Observations were made on seedling height, stem diameter, and number of leaves over a four-month period. The results showed that the application of LOF had a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. The highest increase in height and leaf count was observed in the 30 ml/L treatment, while the 40 ml/L treatment showed a slight decline, possibly due to nutrient oversaturation. However, stem diameter did not show a statistically significant difference among treatments. Correlation analysis indicated a strong positive relationship between plant height and leaf number (r = 0.800), suggesting synchronized vegetative growth. These findings demonstrate the potential of coffee pulp LOF as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers in coffee seedling nurseries. Further research is recommended to evaluate long-term effects and optimal dosages for different growth stages.

Aceh’s economy has long been dominated by the oil and gas sector, particularly LNG Arun exports, which contributed more than 40% of regional GDP (GRDP) in the early observation period. However, declining production after 2014 drastically reduced its share to below 20%, and in recent years, to only around 10–12%. This study aims to analyze the contribution of oil and gas (migas) and non-oil and gas (nonmigas) exports to Aceh’s economy and to assess the potential of export diversification as a sustainable development strategy. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary time series data from 2007–2021 obtained from BPS, Bank Indonesia, and other official sources. Data were analyzed descriptively and through simple econometric models, including OLS regression and cointegration tests. The findings reveal that oil and gas exports are significant in the short term but have weakened in the long term. In contrast, non-oil and gas exports, although relatively small, exhibit stable growth and demonstrate a long-term relationship with GRDP. These results underscore the importance of diversifying exports towards nonmigas commodities, particularly coffee, cocoa, rubber, and fisheries. The practical implication is the urgent need for Aceh’s development strategy to shift from oil and gas dependence towards globally competitive nonmigas industrialization
