The role of citizenship education is fundamental in internalizing the values of nationalism and ethics within a society. This research is motivated by the increasing challenges of globalization and moral degradation that threaten the national identity of the younger generation. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the strategic role of citizenship education in shaping and strengthening national character within the Indonesian context. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing literature reviews and thematic analysis of educational policies and social phenomena. The findings indicate that citizenship education serves as a vital instrument not only for transferring political knowledge but also for fostering civic disposition, including integrity, tolerance, and social responsibility. Furthermore, the integration of local wisdom within the curriculum significantly enhances the effectiveness of character building. The implications of this study suggest that a revitalized citizenship education curriculum, which adapts to digital era challenges, is essential for maintaining social cohesion. Stakeholders in the education sector must prioritize interactive and participatory pedagogical approaches to ensure that national character values are not merely memorized but practiced in daily life, thereby ensuring the long-term sustainability of the nation's democratic values.

This article discusses strengthening civic identity through multicultural education based on local wisdom in Gorontalo Regency. The main problem raised is how local culture, although recognized as a symbol of regional identity, has not been fully translated into an inclusive and reflective pedagogical design to shape students' civic awareness. This study uses a qualitative case study design based on document analysis, with data sources in the form of indexed journal articles, regional official publications, and educational documents published in 2021–2026. The focus of the study is directed at educational practices in Limboto and Dungaliyo. The data was selected purposively based on relevance, credibility, and thematic proximity, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show three main findings: first, huyula local wisdom as the value of mutual cooperation, solidarity, and collective responsibility functions as a cultural bridge that connects social diversity with civic disposition. Second, multicultural education is more effective when local values are explicitly integrated into classroom interactions, school habituation, collaborative work, and reflective discussions. Third, challenges arise because many local values are still implicitly practiced so that they have not yet formed a reflective citizenship consciousness. This article concludes the need for a shift from symbolic recognition to structured pedagogical design through curriculum contextualization, teacher mediation, and school-to-community partnerships.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui sejauh mana upaya penanggulangan kekerasan verbal verbal dari kesiswaan/STP2K SMA Negeri Colomadu. 2) Mengetahui apa saja peran dari Guru PPKn dalam meningkatkan kesadaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan (civic dispositions) pada siswa/siswi SMA Negeri Colomadu. 3) Mengetahui apa saja yang menjadi faktor utama munculnya kekerasan verbal di kalangaan siswa/siswi SMA Negeri Colomadu. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelsakan bahwa kasus kekerasan verbal pada siswa/siswi SMA Negeri Colomadu menujukan bahwa sudah ada upaya penanggulangan yang telah di jalankan melalui program seperti sosialisasi, seminar dan penguatan pendidikan karakter dalam mencegah terjadinya kasus tindak kekerasan verbal di sekolah. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, Upaya, Penanggulangan, Kekerasan Verbal This study aims to 1) determine the extente of efforts to oercome verbal violence from stundts/STP2K SMA Negeri Colomadu. 2) to find out the roles of PPKn teacher in incereasing civic education awarness (civic dispositions) among students at Colomadu state high school 3) to find out the main factors that contribute to the emergance of verbal that coseof verbal violance against students at Colomadu State High School indicate that there have been efforts to overcome this promblem that have been iplemented thorugh programs such as socialization, seminars and strengthening character education in preventing cases of verbal violence in school. The purpose of this study is (1) to understand the ways and applications to improve the character of civic disposition-based manners  in grade XI students at Colomadu High School, (2) for what are the obstacles when improving the character of civic disposition-based manners  in grade XI students through PPKn learning, (3) to find out the efforts to overcome  obstacles in improving the character of students' manners. A qualitative research method with a type of case study that determines the views of the subject studied and observed in detail and in depth. The location of this research is at SMA N Colomadu. This research involved the Principal, Vice Principal for Student Affairs, PPKn Teachers, and Students.  Interviews, documentation, and observations were used in this study. The study uses source triangulation in checking the validity of the data and triangulation techniques to show the suitability of the research material with the reality in the field. The data analysis technique used is an interactive qualitative descriptive model that begins with data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that (1) the activities carried out by the school are activities with parents such as routine parenting activities, and students are always given motivation, literacy, and spirituality regarding the importance of civic disposition-based manners. (2) The obstacles faced by students do not understand the importance of politeness and cannot sort out negative things on social media and association. (3) Activities carried out as an improvement in the character  of civic disposition-based manners  in PPKn learning are by using project-based methods or analyzing case studies to improve students' polite character. They are given direction and guidance so that they have a good relationship and have morals that are in accordance with manners. Civic education plays a central role in shaping responsible and politically aware citizens. Amid the challenges of globalization, it serves as a strategic tool to enhance civic engagement. This article aims to examine the contribution of civic education in promoting civic engagement in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, this study analyzes various research findings and theoretical frameworks related to the relationship between civic education and socio-political participation. The findings indicate that effective civic education can develop civic competencies, including knowledge, critical thinking skills, and positive civic dispositions. These competencies significantly influence citizens' awareness and active participation in democratic life. Contextual and progressive strategies and curricula are needed to ensure civic education can adapt to social dynamics and serve as a platform for shaping democratic and inclusive citizen character.

Education plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's personality and character, including through character education that instills moral and ethical values. Character education in Kindergarten (TK) is very important in forming the foundational personality of children, such as responsibility, discipline, and respect for others. Teachers play a key role in instilling civic disposition (citizenship attitude) by integrating Pancasila values into the learning process. This study aims to describe the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers in instilling civic disposition at TK Peupado Malanuza. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and interviews. The results show that teachers implement civic disposition through activities such as making a Garuda eagle collage, singing the national anthem, and recognizing national symbols, which aim to instill Pancasila values. Teachers also emphasize discipline through activities such as tidying up toys and working together in group tasks. This study demonstrates that the implementation of civic disposition has successfully shaped the children’s character, instilling discipline, responsibility, and love for the country. For sustainability, teachers need to conduct evaluations and involve parents in supporting the values taught.

This study aims to describe the impact of looting on a person's civic character or Civic disposition in the context of people's lives. Looting refers to the act of appropriating other people's property for personal gain. By combining qualitative data from various sources, including related literature, research reports, and interviews with individuals involved in looting, this study yielded significant findings. The results of the analysis show that looting negatively affects a person's Civic disposition. The act of looting violates the moral and ethical values ​​that underlie active and responsible participation in society. Individuals who are involved in acts of stealing tend to show a lack of sense of responsibility, integrity, and empathy towards victims and the wider community. Looting destroys social ties that are necessary for a harmonious life in society. Overall, this research highlights the importance of awareness of the negative impact of looting on Civic disposition. Education, prevention and rehabilitation are needed to improve behavior and rebuild strong civic character, with the aim of promoting a just and civilized society.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungankesadaran politik dengan partisipasi politik pemilih pemula dalam pilkades di Desa Klodran,Kecamatan Colomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar tahun 2016; 2) Untuk mengetahui adatidaknya hubungan civic disposition dengan partisipasi politik pemilih pemula dalam pilkadesdi Desa Klodran, Kecamatan Colomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar tahun 2016; 3) Untukmengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan kesadaran politik dan civic disposition dengan partisipasipolitik pemilih pemula dalam pilkades di Desa Klodran, Kecamatan Colomadu, KabupatenKaranganyar tahun 2016.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adala metode penelitian eksplanatif,yaitu mencari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitianini adalah masyarakat pemilih pemula masyarakat Desa Klodran, Kecamatan Colomadu,Kabupaten Karanganyar tahun 2016, yakni 383. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak100 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah randomsampling, yaitu simple random atau cara pengambilan sampel secara acak. Teknikpengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam teknik ini adalah teknik angket atau kuisoner.Angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang kesadaran politik, civic disposition danpartisipasi politik. Dalam penelitian ini validitas yang dicari adalah validitas eksternal danreliabelitas yang dicari adalah reabilitas internal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalahteknik korelasi ganda.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa nilai F hitung > F table (67.536 >3.090)jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan yang positif dan signifikan kesadaran politik dancivic disposition dengan partisipasi politik pemilih pemula di Desa Klodran, KecamatanColomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar, terbukti kebenarannya.Kata Kunci: Kesadaran politik, Civic Disposition, Partisipasi Politik, Pemilih Pemula,Pemilihan Kepala Desa
