This study aims to analyze the stages, impacts, and supporting and inhibiting factors of social intervention for child victims of sexual violence at the “Handayani” Center, East Jakarta. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of the intervention process. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the “Handayani” Center applies the Generalist Intervention Model (GIM) through seven stages: engagement, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, termination, and follow-up. The social intervention has a positive impact on children, particularly in improving emotional stability, self-confidence, and social functioning. Furthermore, the intervention supports children’s readiness for social reintegration. Supporting factors include the professionalism of social workers and effective team collaboration, while inhibiting factors consist of high workload, delays in administrative reporting, and limited family support.

This research is motivated by the increasing number of cases of child sexual abuse that cause serious psychological impacts in the form of trauma and emotional development disorders. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the process of religious guidance through Islamic religious education counseling for child victims of sexual abuse, which includes four main aspects, namely: (1) planning religious guidance, (2) implementing religious guidance activities, (3) strengthening religious guidance, and (4) supervision in the guidance process. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The validity of the data is tested using triangulation and member check techniques. The results of the study indicate that religious guidance planning is carried out by compiling programs, scheduling activities, and evaluating the results of guidance. The implementation of activities is carried out through religious counseling, psychological approaches, and integration of spiritual values to help children understand and internalize religious teachings independently. Strengthening guidance is carried out through spiritual counseling services, psychological assistance, and legal assistance for victims. Meanwhile, supervision of guidance is carried out through optimizing the role of the community in community-based child protection groups as an integrated system to create a safe and child-friendly environment.

Child sexual abuse is a severe problem that profoundly affects victims’ physical, psychological, and social well-being. The Deli Serdang Child Protection Institution (LPA) functions as a non-governmental organization providing recovery and rehabilitation services for victims of such abuse. This study aims to examine the implementation of psychosocial interventions for child sexual abuse victims at LPA Deli Serdang. Conducted in Deli Serdang Regency, the research involved several informants, including the Chairperson and Psychologist of LPA as key informants, two child victims identified by the initials Z and N as main informants, and four supporting informants consisting of the victims’ parents, the LPA Secretary, and Legal Staff. Data collection was carried out through literature review, observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed qualitatively to gain a comprehensive understanding of the psychosocial intervention process. The findings show that LPA Deli Serdang has fulfilled its role in accordance with Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, particularly in providing integrated services that address victims’ emotional and behavioral needs. Based on Nitimiharjo’s (2012) framework, psychosocial interventions implemented by LPA have contributed to positive improvements in the victims’ cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and environmental domains. Moreover, according to Caroline’s (2012) theory, individual and play therapy have been identified as the primary methods used to assist victims in the recovery process. Overall, these interventions have proven effective in supporting psychological healing and social reintegration for child sexual abuse victims under the institution’s care.

DIAGNOSA: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan dan Keperawatan 2025 International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers

Cases of child sexual abuse in Indonesia continue to increase each year. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta City ranks among the areas with the highest incidence. A preliminary study conducted at SD Negeri Dalem revealed that students had a low level of understanding about sexual abuse, with some having experienced it firsthand. One promising and age-appropriate intervention is the use of animated video media. To determine the effect of animation-based sex education on knowledge and self-awareness in preventing sexual harassment among students at SD Negeri Dalem Yogyakarta in 2025. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design. A sample of 50 students from grades 3 to 6 was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires measuring knowledge and self-awareness. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant effect on the improvement of knowledge (p-value = 0.012), indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. However, there was no significant effect on self-awareness (p-value = 0.672), meaning the null hypothesis was accepted and the alternative hypothesis was rejected. The number of students in the “good” knowledge category increased from 10 students (20.0%) to 22 students (44.0%) after the intervention, while those in the “good” self-awareness category increased from 30 students (60.0%) to 34 students (68.0%). Animated video education is effective in increasing students' knowledge about the prevention of sexual harassment; however, it is not yet sufficient to significantly improve self-awareness. This indicates that enhancing self-awareness requires more in-depth, repeated, and interactive educational methods.

Cases of child sexual abuse in Indonesia continue to show an alarming trend and have serious physical, psychological and social impacts on victims. This research aims to analyze the legal and social implications of these criminal acts and formulate responsive and adaptive legal protection strategies. The research method uses a normative-juridical approach through a literature study, supported by secondary data from scientific journals, laws and regulations, and official reports. The results of the study show that although child protection regulations have been regulated in Law Number 35 of 2014 and Law Number 12 of 2022, their implementation still faces obstacles, such as weak law enforcement, lack of assistance services, and low public legal awareness. Protection strategies based on the victim's perspective, community legal education, and utilization of digital technology are proposed as solutions. This research recommends inter-agency synergy and the strengthening of a legal system that is adaptive to social and digital developments

Sexual violence against children is a crucial issue in Indonesia, with the number of cases continuing to increase. This research evaluates the effectiveness of legal protection based on Law no. 35 of 2014 and Law no. 23 of 2004. Data for 2024 shows an increase in cases of child sexual violence by 15% from the previous year, with a total of 4,500 cases. The main obstacles in implementing legal protection include a lack of special training for law enforcers, limited budgets, weak inter-agency coordination, and social stigma that inhibits reporting. Comprehensive psychosocial support, such as therapy and rehabilitation, has proven crucial for victims' recovery. Suggestions for improving legal protection include increasing training, better budget allocation, improving institutional coordination, reducing social stigma, and strengthening the role of communities and non-governmental organizations. With these steps, it is hoped that legal protections can be strengthened, ensuring children grow up in a safe and supportive environment.

The case of sexual violence against children from the perspective of international law highlights the importance of protecting children from all forms of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse. The purpose of this paper is to understand the forms of international law rules regarding cases of sexual violence against children and how international law prosecutes the perpetrators. The discussion of cases of sexual violence against children shows that these cases have serious and widespread impacts, with nearly 1.7 billion children worldwide experiencing violence. To address this issue, it is necessary to strengthen the legal framework that considers all behaviors related to Child Sexual Abuse and Male Sexual Abuse (CSAM) as criminal acts. Increasing resources in law enforcement, cooperation with the private sector, education, and relevant research are also important to increase our awareness of sexual violence. The conclusion that can be drawn is that children are indeed a new generation that will continue the continuity of nations and states, so it is only fair for us and law enforcement to ensure that all human rights of children are fulfilled.
