This study evaluates the investment feasibility of UD Al-Mustofa, a tobacco business in Kendal, by considering aspects of production, storage capacity, waste management, and market expansion opportunities. UD Al-Mustofa is strategically located, ensuring high mobility, optimal production scale, and an effective waste management system, which includes recycling solid waste into organic fertilizer, processing liquid waste, and mitigating gas emissions by conducting tobacco drying in areas far from residential zones. Although the business has not yet obtained certification for international markets, financial analysis indicates that investment in this venture is viable. The calculations show a payback period of 2.01 years, significantly shorter than the projected 10-year investment lifespan. The Net Present Value (NPV) reaches IDR 489,345,567, indicating positive returns, with a profitability index of 0.854. The Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 46% significantly exceeds Bank Indonesia’s interest rate of 5.75% in 2024, while the Average Rate of Return (ARR) of 78.8% is higher than the cost of capital. Based on these findings, UD Al-Mustofa has strong potential for further development, both in terms of production and market expansion..

Tungkal Seafood restaurant consumers are the subjects of this research. Purposive sampling technique, which was used to achieve the research objectives, collected 100 respondents. Normality, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests are the multiple linear regression analysis tools used. The F test and T test are used to test the hypothesis. Results obtained from the regression equation: Y = 0.959+ 0.384(X1) + 0.395(X2) + e. The results of data analysis show that the independent variable halal certification (X1) does not partially influence customer satisfaction (Y) (T test), and the price variable (X2) influences customer satisfaction significantly. Simultaneously, the F test shows that the independent variables halal certification (X1) and price (X2) influence purchasing decisions (Y) positively and significantly. The influence of the Coefficient of Determination variable is 48.4%, the influence of Halal Certification and Price on Customer Satisfaction at Tungkal Seafood Resto, while 51.6% is determined by other variables outside the research.

The Halal Industrial Estate (HIE) in East Java has enormous potential to capitalize on the global trend of increasing demand for halal products. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia is expected to seize this opportunity through regulations that support the development of HZs, which can not only improve the competitiveness of local products but also expected to contribute to overall economic growth. However, challenges in the development of HEC need to be overcome through close cooperation between the government, industry players, and the community. Socialization of the importance of halal certification and its benefits for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) should also be improved to motivate business actors. This study takes a qualitative approach and literature review to understand how government regulations can support the development of the halal industry in Sidoarjo. The findings show that with the right regulations, KIH can function as a halal industry center that meets local needs and can compete in the global market. The strategic steps recommended by the government include increasing local production capacity, strengthening the halal ecosystem from upstream to downstream, and creating a competitive market environment. With these strategic steps, it is expected that East Java can optimize its role in the halal industry.

There are two reasons that can drive companies to participate in CSR. Certain companies believe that performing customer service (CSR) will allow the company to achieve better economic outcomes (Resource Based Theory), while other companies believe that doing so will give them a competitive advantage that sets them apart from their competitors. Stakeholders’ expectations, so CSR and their reports serve as legitimization to demonstrate their compliance with those expectations (Legitimacy Theory). Using legitimacy theory, this study aims to find empirical evidence on how international experience, consumer perspective, and the acquisition of environmental certifications impact the extent of CSR disclosure. A sample of 168 company-years was obtained using the target population of publicly listed manufacturing companies on the IDX that made CSR reports in 2011 and 2012.

Rural economic transformation is a strategic step in improving the welfare of rural communities, especially in the era of globalization that drives intense market competition. One important aspect of this transformation is education and the implementation of halal production labeling. The application of halal labels not only increases consumer trust but also opens up opportunities for local products to be exported to global markets that increasingly emphasize product halalness. Education about the importance of halal certification at the village level becomes crucial in enhancing the quality and competitiveness of local products. Moreover, empowering communities through training and mentoring in the halal certification process can accelerate economic transformation. This research aims to analyze the impact of education and the implementation of halal certification on rural economic growth and identify the challenges faced in the process. The findings reveal that villages that have implemented halal certification experienced increased income, wider market access, and improved product quality. However, obstacles such as a lack of knowledge and high certification costs need to be addressed through more inclusive policies and government support.

Halal tourism has emerged as a significant niche within the global tourism industry, offering a unique opportunity to integrate religious values with sustainable tourism practices. This study explores the economic, cultural, and environmental impacts of halal tourism, focusing on its role in fostering local economic growth, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting environmental sustainability. The research highlights key findings that show halal tourism not only drives economic growth by creating income opportunities and supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) but also ensures that tourism activities align with eco-friendly practices. The study emphasizes that halal tourism has the potential to integrate local wisdom and community engagement, which strengthens cultural preservation and promotes social cohesion within tourism destinations. Furthermore, halal tourism initiatives frequently incorporate sustainable tourism practices, such as responsible resource use and the conservation of natural ecosystems, thereby contributing to the broader goals of sustainable tourism development. The study compares halal tourism with traditional mass tourism, noting that halal tourism offers a more inclusive, culturally sensitive, and environmentally responsible model. It also examines the challenges faced by halal tourism, including the lack of standardized halal certification and infrastructure deficiencies, which hinder its growth in some regions. Despite these challenges, the research identifies opportunities for innovation, particularly in the use of technology to enhance certification systems and improve environmental sustainability. The paper concludes with policy recommendations for integrating halal tourism into sustainable tourism strategies, suggesting the need for coordinated frameworks that promote both halal compliance and environmental stewardship. Finally, future research should focus on the impacts of halal tourism in diverse geographic and cultural contexts, exploring its potential for fostering sustainable tourism practices worldwide.

Skincare is a series of activities aimed at maintaining healthy skin, improving appearance and reducing facial skin problems. The skin care process can also provide the nutrients needed to protect the skin from the negative effects of excessive sunlight. Skincare itself has many benefits for its users which are differentiated by each skincare product consumed. One of the efforts made by companies to increase sales value and meet consumer demand for consuming skincare is to provide detailed and clear information (Teng & Jusoh, 2013).
