A MSMEs in Indonesia has recently contributed to national exports by 15,7%  compared with Thailand that has reached 29 %, so substantial revision are required to make sure that increasing contribution which ultimately will give positive impact toward the economy overall, because almost 90 % of human resource work in MSMEs sector with nature resource and other plentiful resources. The main problem that is commonly found by MSMEs is to optimize the available resources as well as fulfill the required standards that have established and required regulation in order to ensure the resulting product is accepted by the market and to comply with the regulation that has been established by the regulator. Indonesia as the second biggest country in the world has biodiversity certainly offers benefits that hard to imitate by other country in producing biopharmaceutical plants product, therefore it offers competitive potential in the global market, however market penetration by MSMEs biopharmaceutical plants sector commonly discontinued regarding with technical barriers to trade (TBT). This study is based on a case study that aims to analyze main challenges in fulfillment of international certification and to formulate adaptation strategy for MSMEs. By conducting through a descriptive qualitative method with case study approaches, the result of study indicates that high compliance costs,  registration procedural complexity from the source and destination country, as well as the inconsistency of raw material quality became the main barriers. The proposed strategy including group certification model, CPOTB standard harmonization, and the utilization of integrated government assistance schemes will provide real contribution in assisting MSMEs fulfilling global market requirements.

This study examines the development of a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price forecasting model using an artificial neural network algorithm, specifically the backpropagation algorithm. As one of Indonesia’s main export commodities, CPO has a significant economic impact and influences the income of oil palm farmers. The CPO price data used in this study were obtained from CIF Rotterdam, covering the period from January 2019 to December 2023. The research methodology consists of several stages, including data collection, preprocessing, model design, and model implementation using Python programming. The training results of the backpropagation algorithm show an error value of 0.537829578 after 1,000 epochs, while the evaluation using Mean Squared Error (MSE) indicates an MSE of 0.022709 during the training process and 0.017604 during the testing process. The model also produces CPO price predictions for the next three months, namely 932.578 for the first month, 949.568 for the second month, and 774.855 for the third month. These findings indicate that the developed model is capable of predicting future CPO prices with adequate accuracy, which can assist companies in making better financial decisions and managing risks associated with CPO price fluctuations.

This study aims to analyze the need for barges and tugboats in distributing Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the West Papua region. The analysis is conducted based on three main aspects: the balance of supply and demand, ship operational costs, and shipping time, to determine the most efficient mode of sea transportation. The research method used is a quantitative approach by processing CPO distribution data owned by PT Kurhanz Trans in 2024. The results show that the combination of a 240-foot barge with a 5,000 HP tugboat is the most optimal alternative. This combination is able to balance cargo capacity, operational cost efficiency, and shipping time. The total operating cost of a 240-foot barge is recorded as lower than a 230-foot barge, with the same shipping time of 70 hours for a distance of 140 nautical miles. Thus, the 240-foot barge can be recommended as the best alternative to support the smooth distribution of CPO in the West Papua region efficiently and economically.

Indonesia is the world’s second largest contributor of plastic waste entering the oceans, where it degrades into microplastics smaller than 1 micron. The use of bioplastics is therefore essential to mitigate environmental pollution. One promising alternative is starch–cellulose blend bioplastic derived from empty fruit bunches (EFB) of oil palm. Indonesia produces about 56.35 million tons of EFB annually, containing approximately 40% cellulose, which makes it a potential raw material for bioplastic production, although commercialization has not yet been realized. Environmentally, converting EFB into bioplastics within the palm oil value chain represents a sustainable waste recycling strategy that transforms solid residues into higher-value products. In this design, soda cooking technology is employed to extract cellulose from EFB, utilizing about 16% of waste from a crude palm oil (CPO) mill with a capacity of 30 tons of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) per hour. The starch–cellulose blend bioplastic pellets are formulated using gelatinized cassava starch as the polymer matrix, glycerol as a plasticizer, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a stabilizer, and cellulose as a filler. The designed production capacity of the EFB-based starch–cellulose bioplastic plant is 16,500 tons per year. This bioplastic industry is expected to contribute positively to achieving eight Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goals 1, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17, thereby supporting Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable industrial development and a cleaner environment.

The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the Procedure for Handling the Arrival of the Mt. Bentley I Ship Loading Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Tarunacipta Kencana, Tarahan Branch, Lampung. The methods applied are library research and field research by describing the Procedure for Handling the Arrival of the Mt. Bentley I Ship Loading Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Tarunacipta Kencana, Tarahan Branch, Lampung. This paper explains the procedures for the arrival of the ship and the administration to the relevant agencies regarding the arrival of the ship and coordinating with the Shipper and owner regarding the smoothness of the ship in the arrival process and the loading process. In the process of the Arrival of the Mt. Bentley I Ship, Pt. Tarunacipta Kencana as an agent provides the best service to the Mt. Bentley I Ship such as fast and efficient PKKA management, providing updated information about the ship's berthing to the owner and charter. He also explained the obstacles encountered, including cargo not being ready by the shipper and cargo analysis results not yet being released by the customs and excise agency. He also explained what can be done to ensure the ship's loading process is unimpeded and its departure is not delayed.

Muaro Jambi Regency is one of the main centers of smallholder oil palm plantations that plays an important role in the economy of Jambi Province through its contribution to crude palm oil (CPO) exports and tax revenues. This study aims to analyze farmer characteristics and the effects of land area (X1), plant age (X2), forest and land fire impacts (X3), labor (X4), and fertilizer use (X5) on the production of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of smallholder oil palm in Kumpeh District. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data collected through a survey of 139 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results show that the average characteristics of farmers include an age of 44 years, an average of 2 dependents, land area of 2 hectares, plant age of 10 years, high fire impact scores, labor use of 2 workers, fertilizer use of 1,120 kg, and production of 20,000 kg. The regression results indicate that land area, plant age, and fertilizer use have a significant effect on production, while labor and forest and land fires do not have a significant effect on smallholder oil palm production.

The potential war between India and Pakistan poses significant risks to the Indonesian economy, as it is expected to exacerbate uncertainty in the global financial market. Such geopolitical tensions often trigger a ‘flight to safety,’ where capital flows shift to countries considered stable, leading to reduced foreign direct investment (FDI) in emerging markets like Indonesia. This scenario is likely to place additional pressure on Indonesia’s exchange rate, further destabilizing its financial position. One of the key impacts of the looming India-Pakistan war on Indonesia is its effect on monetary and fiscal management. The Indonesian government is already facing significant challenges, including managing a large amount of maturing debt and grappling with a growing budget deficit. The war would complicate these efforts, making it more difficult for the government to stabilize the economy and implement effective policies. Indonesia’s export sector will also be affected, as India and Pakistan are two of the country’s main trading partners, especially for key commodities like crude palm oil (CPO) and coal. India is Indonesia’s 4th largest export destination, accounting for approximately 9% of total exports, while Pakistan represents around 1.9%. Any disruption in trade with these countries, due to the war or political instability, could significantly hurt Indonesia’s export revenues and negatively affect industries reliant on these markets. Moreover, Indonesia is already facing challenges from the United States, which has imposed reciprocal tariffs worth 32% on Indonesian products. This trade tension, combined with the geopolitical instability from the India-Pakistan conflict, will add further strain to Indonesia’s trade balance. The combination of these factors could lead to slower economic growth, reduced investor confidence, and potentially higher inflation, as the country faces multiple external and internal economic pressures.

The reciprocal tariff policy has a significant impact on a number of countries, including Indonesia. In this scheme, Indonesian non-oil and gas products are subject to a tariff of 32% when entering the US market. Such a high tariff places Indonesian exporters in a less competitive position compared to other countries that have more favorable trade arrangements with the United States. This condition becomes more complex when viewed in the broader context of the US-EU trade war, which creates uncertainty and turbulence in the global economy. Indonesian exports are affected both directly and indirectly. Indirect impacts can be seen from disruptions to the global supply chain, the slowdown in the world economy, and decreased global demand. As global production networks become increasingly interconnected, any disruption in major economies will ultimately suppress demand for Indonesian export commodities. This means that even if Indonesian products are not directly targeted, the ripple effects of global trade tensions will still hinder Indonesia’s export performance. For instance, reduced consumption in Europe and the US due to rising product prices and inflation will diminish market opportunities for Indonesian goods.On the other hand, direct impacts arise because several Indonesian products have been explicitly subjected to tariffs by the US government. These include textiles and textile products (TPT), electronics and their components, footwear, furniture, and palm oil (crude palm oil/CPO). Such tariffs significantly reduce Indonesia’s competitiveness in the US market, potentially leading to decreased export volumes, lower revenues for domestic industries, and job losses in export-oriented sectors. Furthermore, the policy also makes European products much more expensive in the US market, which worsens the global supply chain, increases logistics costs, triggers inflation, and escalates uncertainty in international trade.

This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to systematically describe the procedure for purchasing raw materials on credit at PT Bernofarm Pharmaceutical Company. The study focuses on various stages of purchasing, coordination between related departments (such as PPIC, purchasing, QC, warehouse, and accounting), and the use of documents and recording tools such as Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. This study is motivated by the importance of implementing standard purchasing procedures to ensure smooth production processes, accuracy of debt recording, and quality of raw materials. Primary data were obtained through direct observation during internship activities and unstructured interviews with management, especially the accounting department. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained through a review of relevant literature to strengthen the analysis and discussion. The analysis technique was carried out qualitatively through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the procedure for purchasing raw materials on credit at PT Bernofarm is in line with the principles of internal control based on the COSO framework and meets applicable quality management standards, such as GMP/CPOB and ISO. Each stage from supplier evaluation, quality inspection, to debt repayment shows orderly and documented control. Thus, the procedures implemented support the operational effectiveness and integrity of the company's financial data.

The palm oil industry is a strategic sector that significantly contributes to Indonesia's economy through crude palm oil (CPO) exports. However, it is also prone to corruption practices, as revealed in the bribery case involving a judge in the handling of a CPO export trial. This scandal highlights corporate involvement in influencing court decisions for business interests and the weak law enforcement against corporations as the main perpetrators of criminal acts. This paper aims to analyze the chronology and modus operandi of the bribery, identify factors behind the weak corporate criminal liability enforcement, and formulate recommendations to strengthen the legal system to prevent similar cases in the future. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory and case approaches. The data is analyzed qualitatively to assess the effectiveness of regulations and the obstacles in implementing corporate criminal liability. This study is expected to contribute to reforming a fairer and more accountable legal system in strategic economic sectors.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the impact of the crude palm oil export ban on the income of oil palm farming businesses in Danau Embat Village, Maro Sebo Ilir District. The study was conducted from January 2023 to August 2023. The types of data used were primary data and secondary data. The sample determination was carried out by simple random sampling. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative analysis was carried out using the Paired Sample t Test (Test of two paired average differences). The results of the analysis of the two average differences test were significant for oil palm farming business income between before and after the CPO export ban, this can be seen from the significant value of 0.001 which is smaller than the probability value (α) of 0.05, which means that the impact of the CPO export ban has an effect on the decline in the income of oil palm farming businesses on smallholder plantations in Danau Embat Village. The CPO export ban should be reviewed because it will have an impact on the income of oil palm farmers.

This research aims to identify the causes of delays in the loading and unloading process of Crude palm oil (CPO), the impact of delays, and the company's efforts to overcome these obstacles. The research method used is a qualitative method by looking directly at the facts in the field. The data collection technique is direct observation at Teluk Bagus Harbor, then interviewing several sources and corroborating with documentation. This research obtained results that the causes of delays in the loading and unloading process of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) occurred due to natural, human factors and the quality of palm fruit. The impact that arises is increasing operational costs. Efforts made by the company include adding a new fleet and recruiting competent loading and unloading workers.

Palm oil production in Indonesia is basically a commodity for export and Indonesia itself is the largest exporter of palm oil in the world. This can prove that palm oil exports from Indonesia are able to compete with other tea exporting countries. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of land area, production quantity, and world price of CPO simultaneously and partially on the volume of Indonesian palm oil exports from 1994-2023. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of quantitative data sourced from BPS and the World Bank. The area of ​​this research is the Republic of Indonesia. The data analysis technique used is the Error Correction Model (ECM) analysis technique. The research results show that land area, production volume and world price of CPO simultaneously influence the volume of Indonesian palm oil exports. The production quantity variable partially has a positive and significant effect. The variables of land area and world price of CPO partially have no effect. Considering the importance of exports to a country's economy, it is necessary to increase the export volume of palm oil in Indonesia, as one of Indonesia's leading export commodities, by paying attention to factors that can influence export volume.

The pharmaceutical industry operates under a strict regulatory framework to ensure that the products produced are safe, of high quality, and effective. These regulations are continuously updated to keep up with advancements in science, technological developments, and global demands for higher quality standards. The pharmaceutical industry also faces the challenge of global regulatory harmonization, such as standards set by WHO and PIC/S. These regulations are designed to ensure drug quality from development to distribution. Changes in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations are crucial for improving pharmaceutical production quality in Indonesia. This study aims to conduct a gap analysis between the 2018 GMP and the draft 2024 GMP Annex 1, particularly in terms of equipment, supporting facilities, and personnel. The method used is a comparative analysis by comparing the provisions of the 2018 GMP with the draft 2024 GMP. The gap analysis results between the 2018 GMP and the draft 2024 GMP Annex 1 in terms of equipment, supporting facilities, personnel, and sterile product completion indicate significant changes in the adopted standards. The proposed 2024 GMP revision introduces substantial improvements in sterile product manufacturing standards. As part of efforts to enhance global competitiveness, the Indonesian pharmaceutical industry must continue to adapt to dynamic technological and regulatory changes. By implementing various strategies—including substantial investments in modern equipment, adjustments to supporting facilities, and capacity building for personnel—the Indonesian pharmaceutical industry can meet global standards while ensuring the availability of safe, high-quality, and effective sterile products for the public.

CPO is the raw result of the oil extraction process from palm oil fruit. This substance is a rusty red liquid which has varying consistency characteristics depending on the ambient temperature conditions. The problems faced in handling CPO liquid bulk cargo are based on several factors, namely limited infrastructure, weather, distance and how the government regulates the sustainability of this industry at PT. Energi Unggul Persada. The aim of this research is to find out how the CPO liquid bulk transportation procedures are carried out by PT. Energi Unggul Persada, the main challenges faced in handling CPO liquid bulk cargo, as well as how government regulations and policies influence CPO liquid bulk cargo handling procedures and their impact on industrial desires at PT. Energi Unggul Persada. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research was carried out at PT. Energi Unggul Persada from February 2022 to April 2022. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation. Meanwhile, the informants used as research were the Shipping Section Operational Experts and Field Coordinators PT. Energi Unggul Persada in Mempawah. The data that has been collected is then carried out by data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this research are first, the procedures that have been established by the company, namely, before loading begins, the surveyor and lodging master prepare the required documents such as: shipping instructions, ship shore checklist, dry certificate, and the tools used include: flexible hose, crane, floating line, and pump. To ensure that the quality of CPO / cargo meets standards, then during the loading process, the loading master supervises and is responsible for the implementation and smoothness of the loading activity. Second, the main challenges faced in the process of handling CPO liquid bulk cargo include the limited number of pipes, weather conditions at the jetty, and quite long line distances. Third, by committing to supporting a sustainable palm oil industry, the government is adjusting export levies on CPO and its derivatives, which are then channeled back to focus on developing the people’s palm oil industry.

In the implementation of the manufacture of BioSolar or BioDiesel fuel, the government uses a hybrid concept which is by mixing diesel from petroleum with Crude Palm Oil (CPO), this policy is useful in saving the country's foreign exchange where the government reduces the amount of petroleum imports and replaces it with CPO from within the country. Because Indonesia is one of the largest CPO producing countries in the world, through this policy the government can make better use of Indonesia's natural resources. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach where researchers observe a phenomenon of increasing levels of palm oil (CPO) in current diesel fuel, namely from B30 to B35.

This research analyzes the impact of the European Union's Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II) policy on Indonesia as the world's main palm oil producer. Using a qualitative method, data was obtained from scientific journals, previous studies, books, and media reports. The RED II policy that restricts the use of palm oil in biodiesel in the European Union has a significant impact on Indonesia's CPO industry, such as a decline in exports that affects foreign exchange, GDP contribution, and exchange rate stability. This article also discusses Indonesia's response, including diplomacy and sustainable palm oil promotion strategies, to maintain export stability and meet EU sustainability standards.

Patented drugs are a type of drug that has just been discovered and has a certain patent period based on its type. This drug is designed to provide convenience through innovations such as practical packaging, better taste, and syrup that is not bitter due to the use of micro particles. Technologies such as slow-release tablets or sugar coatings also reduce side effects in the stomach, making them safer to use. In addition, this innovation can overcome other obstacles, such as avoiding alcohol solvents that are not in accordance with some religious beliefs. On the other hand, generic drugs still meet pharmacopoeial requirements and have gone through a good drug manufacturing process (CPOB), with strict supervision from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of the people of Sukorejo Village about patented and generic drugs. The type of research used is descriptive, using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The sample consisted of 100 people selected through a simple random sampling technique, where each element of the population has an equal chance of being selected. Percentage analysis was used to evaluate the results of the study. The data shows that 49% of respondents have good knowledge of patented and generic drugs, while 23% have sufficient knowledge. These results indicate that the majority of the community already understands the differences between the two types of drugs.

The importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the quality and safety of drug products. GMP aims to ensure that all pharmaceutical preparations, including sterile drugs such as infusions and injections, meet strict quality standards. Sterility testing is an important aspect even though it has limitations, such as long incubation times and low probability of detecting contamination. Therefore, any sterility test results that do not meet the requirements must be further investigated to find the cause, either from laboratory errors or contamination in the production process. In addition, the implementation of technical and managerial aspects in accordance with GMP, such as temperature and humidity control, is very important to maintain product quality. This article also highlights the use of modern technologies, such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), to improve efficiency and transparency in the drug production process, so that it can meet all the provisions set.
