This study aims to analyze the understanding of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Harjosari II Village regarding Islamic financial inclusion and its contribution to expanding access to business capital financing. Although the national financial inclusion index continues to increase, the implementation of Islamic financial inclusion still faces challenges at the grassroots level. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques consisting of observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with MSME owners in Harjosari II Village and staff from KSPPS & BMT Syariah Sejahtera (SS) Medan. The findings show that MSME owners’ understanding of Islamic financial inclusion is influenced by religiosity and the perception of justice through the profit-sharing system. Islamic financial inclusion is implemented through a kinship approach and simplified administrative procedures for the informal sector. However, the main obstacles to expanding financing access include limited Islamic financial literacy, restricted financing ceilings, and entrepreneurs’ lack of confidence in formal banking procedures. Islamic financing contributes to increasing production capacity and providing spiritual peace of mind by offering capital alternatives free from usury (riba). This study recommends strengthening direct technical socialization and implementing more flexible financing ceiling policies to support MSME growth in suburban areas.

The increasing poverty rate in West Bandung Regency has encouraged BAZNAS to introduce the Z-Mart programme, which provides business capital assistance as an effort to improve community income. The effectiveness of the programme is assessed based on its ability to achieve predetermined targets and comply with organisational regulations. This study adopts a quantitative approach, involving 151 mustahik as the population, with 61 mustahik selected as the sample to complete the questionnaire. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of zakat fund distribution on mustahik income in the Z-Mart programme implemented by BAZNAS of West Bandung Regency. Data analysis using SPSS version 25.0 indicates that the independent variable (X) contributes 59.8 per cent, and that the effectiveness of zakat distribution has a significant effect on mustahik income (R-square = 0.357). Regression analysis reveals that a one-point increase in distribution effectiveness contributes to a positive increase of 0.814 points in mustahik income. The t-test results show that the calculated t-value (5.725) exceeds the critical t-value (1.671), indicating acceptance of the alternative hypothesis and rejection of the null hypothesis. Therefore, this study concludes that the distribution of zakat funds through the Z-Mart programme is effective in improving the income level of mustahik in BAZNAS of West Bandung Regency.

Poverty in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) remains a significant issue despite a decline in poverty rates in recent years. This study aims to identify the factors influencing poverty in DIY from social, economic, and structural perspectives, as well as to evaluate policies that can address this issue. The method used in this research is a literature review through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), examining various relevant sources on poverty in DIY and the poverty alleviation policies implemented in the region. The results of the study indicate that poverty in DIY is caused by several main factors, such as income inequality, low-quality education, low skill levels among the population, and limited access to business capital and productive resources. One policy that has proven effective in reducing poverty is the provision of access to capital and productive resources through microcredit schemes and agrarian reform. These programs not only provide capital but also enhance the ability of the poor to manage their businesses. These findings offer important insights into understanding poverty in DIY and suggest that policies supporting the empowerment of the poor through education, skills, and economic access can be an effective solution to reduce poverty in the long term..

This research investigates the strategic role of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Cirebon City in fostering economic independence among mustahik (zakat recipients) through productive zakat programs that incorporate digital technology. The focus of this study is to explore how BAZNAS' empowerment initiatives go beyond simply providing capital by integrating structured business mentoring and facilitating digital transformation to stimulate entrepreneurial progress. By employing a qualitative approach with a case study framework, the research examines the real impact of BAZNAS' programs on the livelihoods of mustahik. Data for the study were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 12 mustahik participants, program coordinators from BAZNAS, and local field facilitators. Additionally, observations during entrepreneurship workshops and analysis of official documentation provided supplementary data to strengthen the research findings. The study reveals three key outcomes: increased access to business capital for productive ventures, a growing adoption of digital tools in the operations of micro-enterprises, and enhanced financial independence achieved through business development. The findings show that BAZNAS Cirebon City has effectively contributed to improving mustahik's business management skills, expanding their access to digital markets, and supporting sustainable entrepreneurship. These efforts align with the broader goal of zakat-based empowerment, especially in the context of digitalization. The study emphasizes that the integration of digital tools is vital to empower mustahik and increase their productivity, as it enhances their ability to reach broader markets and manage their businesses more efficiently. Furthermore, the research offers practical recommendations aimed at expanding digital literacy among mustahik, promoting technology-based entrepreneurship, and improving the delivery of digital financial services within zakat distribution programs. These recommendations seek to enhance the overall effectiveness of zakat-based empowerment initiatives in the digital age.

Since 2017, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency has been tasked by President Joko Widodo to complete land registration across Indonesia by 2025 through the Complete Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL). Based on Ministerial Regulation ATR/BPN Number 12 of 2017, updated with Number 6 of 2018, this program aims to provide legal certainty and protection of land rights for the community. However, many people, especially in North Gorontalo Regency, still do not understand how to obtain land certificates due to a lack of information and education about PTSL. This research aims to explore government policies that provide land ownership certificates as legal protection for the community. Better coordination is needed between local governments and the Ministry of ATR/BPN to raise public awareness of the importance of land certificates, which not only guarantee ownership but can also be utilized as business capital. The PTSL program is expected to improve community welfare and reduce land disputes. Research findings indicate that public understanding in North Gorontalo Regency remains low, with obstacles such as a lack of information, complicated procedures, and limited access. Government policies need to include regulatory simplification and increased transparency as well as public services.

Sustainable natural resource management is vital for preserving the potential of fisheries and agriculture in the area. Strict law enforcement against illegal fishing practices and educational efforts to promote sustainable fishing practices are necessary. Climate change impacts, including rising sea levels and extreme weather conditions, affect the region. Therefore, strategies for climate change adaptation and mitigation need to be developed. The evaluation of socio-economic development policies indicates that assistance programs have been implemented, but there is a need for improvement in directing policies toward poverty alleviation, economic empowerment, and sustainable natural resource management.
