The provision of clean water is a basic necessity and a fundamental responsibility of the government as a form of public accountability. Clean water not only plays a crucial role in supporting daily life but also directly affects public health, education, and economic productivity. However, the condition in Tanjung Melagan Island, located in the hinterland area of Batam City, still shows serious issues regarding access to clean water. Limited infrastructure, remote geographical location, and the lack of policy intervention are the main obstacles faced by the local community. This study aims to analyze the responsibility of the Batam City Government in providing clean water using J. Spiro’s accountability theory, which highlights three main indicators: accountability, obligation, and causality. This research employs a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies. Informants in this study include officials from the Department of Human Settlements and Spatial Planning of Batam City, the Head of Galang Baru Subdistrict, and local residents of Tanjung Melagan Island. The results of the study indicate that the accountability of the Batam City Government in the provision of clean water has not been carried out substantively. Although formal forums such as Development Planning Meetings (Musrenbang) exist, their implementation remains procedural and does not fully absorb the aspirations and needs of the local population. The government's obligation to provide clean water is acknowledged normatively, but its realization often faces technical constraints, complex bureaucracy, and the delegation of responsibilities to non-governmental institutions. Furthermore, several underlying causes of this weak accountability were identified, including limited budgetary resources, poor inter-agency coordination, and low levels of community literacy and participation in planning and monitoring processes. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the role and capacity of local governments in providing essential services such as clean water, especially in underdeveloped and remote regions, to ensure that the principle of social justice is truly realized.

This community service activity aims to increase the financial independence of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Sudiang, Makassar, through a networking approach and strengthening financial literacy capacity. The main problems faced by the local KWT are the still low understanding of group financial management, limited access to financial information, and dependence on external assistance. Through socialization, training, and interactive discussions, participants were provided with an understanding of the basic concepts of financial independence, simple financial record keeping, collective fund management, and the importance of institutional networks as a sustainability strategy. The results of the activity showed an increase in members' understanding of the importance of financial literacy and the ability to design an internal financial system independently. In addition, strengthening networks with local stakeholders was also started as a first step towards finding a KWT business. The activity concluded with a question and answer session and the presentation of certificates to participants as a form of appreciation and ongoing motivation. Going forward, further mentoring is needed so that the empowerment process can continue to develop consistently. As a follow-up to this activity, a sustainable mentoring strategy is needed so that the understanding and skills that have been acquired do not just stop at the level of knowledge, but can be implemented in real life in the KWT's daily activities. This mentoring can include monitoring the group's financial records, facilitating access to microfinance institutions, and training in building partnerships with external parties such as government, academics, and the private sector. With structured mentoring, KWT is expected to be able to build a transparent and accountable financial management system and support the growth of sustainable, productive businesses. This aligns with efforts to strengthen women's independence in the agricultural sector while contributing to the welfare of families and the wider community.

Decent housing is one of the important factors in ensuring social welfare and improving the quality of life of the community. The need for decent housing is very crucial in big cities, including Surabaya, where population growth and urbanization are very rapid. Although this right has been guaranteed by various national laws and regulations, one of which is regulated in Law Number 1 of 2011 concerning Housing and Residential Areas, there are still gaps in its implementation at the regional level. This article aims to discuss the urgency of establishing a Surabaya Regional Regulation (Perda) on decent housing. As a legal basis that regulates minimum standards for housing quality, access to basic infrastructure, and guarantees of security and comfort for Surabaya City residents. The establishment of this Perda is currently important to overcome the problem of inadequate housing, prevent the emergence of slums, and support the sustainable development of the city of Surabaya. In addition, this Perda is expected to be a solution to the challenges faced by the Surabaya City government in meeting the need for decent housing for all levels of society in the City of Surabaya.

The Zero Waste concept is a comprehensive approach to waste management that aims to minimize waste production from the early stages of the production process to the end of the product life cycle. The basic principles include the application of the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), as well as the integration of 4R to 5R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, and Replant), which emphasize reduction, reuse, recycling, replacement with environmentally friendly goods, and replanting. By implementing a Zero Waste approach, Indonesia has the potential to reduce the impact of environmental pollution, save natural resources, and encourage more responsible consumption patterns. However, the challenge of implementing Zero Waste in Indonesia requires collaboration between the government, private sector, civil society and international institutions to create an environment that supports Zero Waste adoption.

Schools, as educational facilities, have a crucial role in improving the quality and standards of national education to make it more advanced. In line with the introduction to PERMENDIKBUD No. 18 of 2019, the government provides compensation in the form of School Operational Assistance Funds (BOS) with the aim of helping fund school operational and non-personnel costs. Implementing school operational assistance is part of the state's responsibility to provide financing to the entire community and is an implementation of the mandate of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia to make the nation's life intelligent. Therefore, the author is interested in analyzing it in research entitled "Legal Responsibilities for Management of School Operational Assistance Funds at SD Negeri 1 Kunjeng, Gubug District" with the problem of what is the legal basis for managing School Operational Assistance Funds (BOS) at SD Negeri 1 Kunjeng and how? Legal responsibility for managing social assistance funds at SD N 1 Kunjeng, Gubug District. This research uses normative juridical which focuses on secondary data supported by the results of interviews and observations and analyzed qualitatively. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the legal basis for managing BOS funds at SD Negeri 1 Kunjeng is rooted in the 1945 Constitution, specifically Article 31B paragraphs (2) and (3), which requires the state to organize an equitable and high-quality national education system. UUSPN No. 20 of 2003 also becomes the legal basis with Article 50 paragraph (2) which requires the government to provide financial assistance for basic education. Education plays an important role in efforts to improve human quality, both social, spiritual and intellectual. Apart from that, education is not only burdened with the task of making the nation's life more intelligent, but it is also burdened with the task of fostering the nation's morals, namely upholding human values, all of which will be realized if it is based on religious beliefs. Meanwhile, religious belief will only be obtained with a deep understanding of the basics of religion itself. Judging from its function, language is a means of communication and liaison in everyday human interactions, both between individuals and individuals, individuals and society and society and certain nations. Likewise in Arabic, which has a special function compared to other languages. Not only does Arabic have high quality literature for those who know and understand it, but Arabic is also destined to be the language of the Koran, namely communicating the words of Allah (Yusuf, 1997: 187). Arabic language teaching has been implemented in formal and non-formal institutions, where the teaching is almost the same as the language as a whole. In fact, Arabic has become a special identity and characteristic of Islamic educational institutions, especially Islamic boarding schools, which differentiates them from other institutions. This is an important reason to research. Likewise with the existence of the Miftahul Ulum Suren Jember Islamic Boarding School whose vision and mission refer to the vision and mission of the Islamic boarding school. The Vision and Mission, among other things, seeks to develop students to become Muslims so that they become Muslims who are ready for life. For operationalization to achieve the output expected by the vision and mission, there needs to be a program realization at the girls' Islamic boarding school that must support it. One of the programs of the women's Islamic boarding school is the development of improving muhadatsah skills. From this program it is hoped that students will be able to speak Arabic actively. Because basically female students are able to perform muhadatsah optimally. The aim to be achieved in this research is to find out and describe the problems of improving muhadatsah skills at the Miftahul Ulum Suren Jember Islamic boarding school both in terms of implementation and evaluation. The research method used in this research is approach, determining research subjects, data collection methods (observation, interviews and data analysis.
