Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of an infant's life is an important practice that supports child growth and development. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between internal maternal factors and breastfeeding patterns. The study was conducted using a cross sectional study design. The study was conducted at Puskesmas Putat Jaya Surabaya with a sample of 63 mothers with infants <6 months who provide direct breastfeeding to their babies. Data were obtained from questionnaires, weight measurement using digital scales and height using microtoice. Data were processed using chi square test. The test results showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge with proper colostrum feeding (p = 0.002), parity with breastfeeding frequency (p = 0.002) and maternal nutritional status with breastfeeding frequency (p = 0.001). While other variables in this study showed no significant relationship. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and proper colostrum feeding and there is a significant relationship between parity and nutritional status with the frequency of breastfeeding. Suggestions for the need for education as an increase in knowledge and maintaining a diet to increase the success of breastfeeding.

Introduction: Colostrum is a part of breast milk (ASI) which has a characteristic yellowish liquid that comes out on the first to the third day after giving birth. Colostrum contains 10-17 times more immune substances than mature milk, so it is very good to give because it functions to form the baby's antibodies. Objective: To determine maternal knowledge, family support relationships, sources of information, the role of health workers, maternal behavior and how to provide colostrum by giving colostrum to newborns at the Cimanggu Community Health Center, Cibeber District, Cianjur Regency in 2023. Method: The research method used is descriptive with Cross Sectional Study approach. The sample in this study was postpartum mothers on days 1-4 with a total of 30 samples. This sample was taken using a purposive sampling method and the measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: This study found a relationship between giving colostrum and family support (p=0.029), information sources (p=0.003), behavior (p=0.000). Meanwhile, there was no significance in maternal knowledge (p=.0966), the role of health workers (p=0.836), how to give colostrum (p=0.997) with colostrum. Conclusion: There is a relationship between family support, sources of information and behavior with giving colostrum and there is no relationship between mother's knowledge, the role of health workers and how to give colostrum with giving colostrum.

Breast preparation for breastfeeding begins during pregnancy, which is characterized by the breasts becoming larger along with the increase in the number and size of the alveoli glands as a result of increasing levels of the hormone estrogen. This occurs until a baby has been breastfed for a few days when actual milk production begins. In the first few days the breasts secrete colostrum which is very important for the baby's health. Breasts produce breast milk starting when the baby begins to suckle on the nipple and the resulting physical stimulation causes impulses in the nerve endings which are then sent to the hypothalamus in the brain which in turn tells the pituitary gland in the brain to produce the hormones oxytocin and prolactin (Anik, 2016). This study aims to analyze the relationship between oxytocin massage and breast milk production in postpartum mothers at Ibu Kartini Hospital, West Kisaran, Asahan Regency in 2023. This research is correlational with a cross sectional approach and bivariate data analysis is data analysis used in research to determine the relationship or influence of variables. independent (independent) with a dependent (dependent) variable using Chi Square analysis with a significant p-value (0.05) (Hardani, 2020) Based on the research results. Based on the results of statistical tests using Chi-Square, it was obtained with a p value of 0.001 that the breast milk output of postpartum mothers before oxytocin massage was mostly not enough breast milk. Postpartum mothers' breast milk output after massage is mostly breast milk This means that there is an influence of oxytocin massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers at Ibu Kartini Hospital, West Kisaran, Asahan Regency in 2023

Colostrum, which is part of breast milk, contains immunoglobin M. Colostrum is breast milk that comes out a few days after giving birth and is clear or yellowish white. Objective: to determine the relationship between providing early initiation of breastfeeding and breast milk with the immune system of babies at the Tolo Health Center, Jeneponto Regency in 2020. The type of research used was a cross sectional study. The sample was 60 mothers who had babies aged 1-6 months who were in the working area of the Tolo Community Health Center, Jeneponto Regency. The results of the research show a relationship between giving early initiation of breastfeeding and the baby's immune system at the Tolo Community Health Center, Jeneponto Regency in 2020 with a p value = 0.024 < α 0.05. = 0.021 < α 0.05. Conclusion: there is a relationship between providing early initiation of breastfeeding and breast milk with the baby's immune system at the Tolo health center, Jeneponto Regency 2020. Suggestions: To increase knowledge and information for mothers about the importance of carrying out IMD immediately after the baby is born so that it can prevent antenatal deaths.

Fisher's exact p value was 0.035 < 0.05. Exclusive breastfeeding for babies in the first hour after birth and skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby are important factors in the beginning of the breastfeeding process where the baby will stay warm and the baby will get colostrum. Abortion can endanger the mother's health because it can cause bleeding, uterine perforation, infection and shock. Bleeding occurs due to not yet releasing all the products of conception from the endometrial wall, so that the blood vessels are always open to empty the uterus of the remaining products of conception. The next consequence of abortion is perforation, perforation occurs when scraping/curettage, if this happens it is necessary to carry out a laparotomy according to the extent of the perforation. Infection can occur due to the accumulation of dead and rotting products of conception in the body, causing infection, shock, can occur in cases of abortion due to severe infection or profuse bleeding. The incidence of abortion in Indonesia in 2012 was 4%. The aim is to determine the relationship between gestational age and distance with the incidence of abortion in 2023. termination of the pregnancy process before the gestational age is less than 28 weeks (Manuaba, 2010). Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy through any means, spontaneous or artificial, before the fetus is able to survive with limitations based on gestational age and body weight. This research is an observational analytical research with a research design control cases. Early breastfeeding (ASI) in the first days of birth provides many benefits where there is colostrum which is proven to be very rich in antibodies which can increase the baby's immunity. Prelacteal food is given to babies in the first days after birth on the grounds that breast milk (ASI) has not been released so that the first days after birth are a vulnerable period for babies to receive prelacteal food/drinks. Prelacteal foods are dangerous because they can replace colostrum as the baby's earliest food. The impact of prelacteal feeding is that babies may get diarrhea, septicemia (bacterial infection in the blood), and meningitis, babies are more likely to suffer from intolerance to the protein in the formula, and develop allergies such as eczema. Method: this activity begins with the preparation of proposals and administration activities in May 2023. The implementation of this activity is educating mothers about prelacteal feeding to babies aged 0-6 months. Results: 30 participants in this activity were mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months in the village of Bangun Rejo. In its implementation, it was explained about the types of prelacteal feeding, the impact of prelacteal feeding, factors that can influence mothers to give prelacteal feeding. Conclusion: community service activities based on health education are carried out. This community service activity was carried out for 3 months starting in May-July 2023. The results of this community service regarding prelacteal feeding in infants aged 0-6 months.
