Backgroud: Indonesia is ranked third highest in cases of infant mortality. One of the causes of IMR is that babies are given breast milk too late. If all babies were fed only breast milk from the time they were born until the age of 6 months it could save 800,000 lives. Based on data from the West Kalimantan Health Office in 2021, the IMR was 8 per 1,000 births, in 2022 it will be 5.2 per 1,000 births. The aim of the research is to analyze the relationship between knowledge about early initiation of breastfeeding and mothers' attitudes towards providing exclusive breastfeeding to pregnant women in the third trimester at RSIA Anugrah. Methods: The research design used in this research is cross sectional with a quantitative approach. The research population was all pregnant women in the third trimester who had an ultrasound examination at RSIA Anugrah in August 2024, totaling 532 respondents. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 58 respondents. Test the hypothesis using the Chi Square test. Results: Analysis shows that 32 respondents (55.2%) have good knowledge and 50 respondents (86.2%) have a positive attitude. Based on the results of the chi square statistical test, it shows that the p value = 0.000 < p value = 0.05, which means there is a relationship between knowledge about early initiation of breastfeeding and attitudes towards providing exclusive breastfeeding to pregnant women in the trimester III at RSIA Anugrah. Conclusion: Knowledge about early initiation of breastfeeding has a significant relationship with attitudes towards providing exclusive breastfeeding to pregnant women in the trimester III at RSIA Anugrah.

Breastfeeding (ASI) and complementary feeding (MP-ASI) are determinants of a baby's growth and development starting from the period 0 days or the day after birth until the age of 2 years. Providing nutritional intake that is less than required can cause long-term growth and development in children, which is permanent and difficult to repair. This study aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and MP-ASI with the growth and development of babies aged 6–12 months in the Harapan Baru Community Health Center Working Area, Samarinda City. Type of quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The location of this research was carried out at the Posyandu in the Working Area of the Harapan Baru Community Health Center, Samarinda City. The sample in this study was mothers of babies 6-12 months with 84 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique uses the Spearman correlation non-parametric statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between giving exclusive breastfeeding and the growth of babies aged 6-12 months (p=0.00), there was a relationship between giving breast milk and the development of babies aged 6-12 months (p=0.021), there was a relationship between giving MP-ASI and growth babies 6-12 months (p=0.022), and there is a relationship between giving MP-ASI and the development of babies 6-12 months (p=0.042). Increasing the provision of appropriate breast milk and MP-ASI is very important to achieve optimal growth and development of babies.

The primary causes of mortality among infants are diarrhea and pneumonia. But, more than 50% of the cases were caused by malnutrition. Exclusive breastfeeding (6 months to 2 years) and providing complementary nutritious food have proven to be effective interventions in reducing the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). This study aims to analyze maternal barriers to exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months in Montasik Public Health Center, Aceh Besar. This study used an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population was 147 women. 60 respondents were chosen as the sample using a proportional random sampling technique. It was conducted on May 2nd–18th, 2024. The analysis uses univariate and bivariate Chi-square tests. The results showed that of 60 respondents, most of them provided non-exclusive breastfeeding for 34 respondents (56,7%), early adulthood for 32 respondents (53,3%), middle-class education level for 24 respondents (40%), self-employed for 33 respondents (55%), had sufficient knowledge of breastfeeding as 24 respondents (40%), and did not have a supportive workplace in giving exclusive breastfeeding as 34 respondents (56,7%). In conclusion, there is a correlation between age, education level, work status, knowledge, and environment towards exclusive breastfeeding. It is expected that the community health center will conduct socialization regarding exclusive breastfeeding by holding antenatal classes for a better understanding of exclusive breastfeeding.

Mother's milk (ASI) is a source of food for babies which is useful for the growth and development of babies. Providing breast milk for 6 months to newborns is the gold standard for baby feeding recommended by WHO. Even though breastfeeding is very important for babies, mothers also often experience failure in providing exclusive breastfeeding. This research aims to describe the characteristics and knowledge of mothers regarding exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 0-6 months at the Doro I Community Health Center. This research is a descriptive quantitative study, data collection uses Cluster Sampling where the sample is grouped based on region (Posyandu) or population location by 65 samples. This research instrument uses a Knowledge Questionnaire about Exclusive Breastfeeding adopted from (Septianingrum, 2018) consisting of 19 questions. For favorable questions the "correct" answer is given a score of 1 and "wrong" is given a score of 0, while for unfavorable questions the "correct" answer is given a score of 0 and "wrong" is given a score of 1. The instrument is valid with a correlation number (r-count) > 0.444 so it is said to be valid while the Cronbach's Alpha value and reliability are 0.984. The data analysis used was univariate in the form of a percentage frequency distribution. The results showed that all mothers of babies aged 0-6 months at the Doro I Community Health Center (Puskesmas) were all respondents (100%) aged 15-49 years, 23 respondents (35.4%) had a high school education, 58 respondents (89.2) did not work and 46 respondents (70.8%) had ever breastfed. Mothers' knowledge about giving exclusive breastfeeding to babies aged 0-6 months at the Doro I Community Health Center shows that all 65 mothers (100%) of respondents have good knowledge about giving exclusive breastfeeding to babies aged 0-6 months. The conclusion obtained is that mothers' knowledge about giving exclusive breastfeeding to babies aged 0-6 months at the Doro I Community Health Center shows that all respondents, 65 mothers (100%) have good knowledge about giving exclusive breastfeeding to babies aged 0-6 months.
