Irregular sleep patterns are a common issue experienced by university students and are often considered a normal part of academic life. However, such conditions can have negative effects on students’ learning concentration and cognitive function. Poor sleep patterns are generally influenced by various factors, including high academic workload, habitual late-night activities, poor time management, and excessive use of electronic devices at night. This study aims to examine the relationship between sleep patterns and students’ learning concentration, identify factors contributing to irregular sleep patterns, and analyze constraints as well as propose solutions to improve sleep quality in order to enhance learning concentration. The method used in this scientific paper is a literature review, which involves examining relevant scientific sources such as research journals and academic literature related to sleep patterns and students’ learning concentration. The results of the review indicate that students with poor sleep patterns tend to experience physical fatigue, decreased immune function, cognitive impairment, and difficulties in maintaining focus and concentration during the learning process. In the long term, these conditions have the potential to reduce academic achievement and learning motivation. Therefore, it can be concluded that effective time management, limiting the use of electronic devices before bedtime, creating a conducive sleep environment, and support from universities through health education play an important role in improving students’ sleep patterns. With regular and high-quality sleep, students’ learning concentration is expected to improve, allowing the learning process and academic achievement to proceed optimally.

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of academic and social life of students at Universitas Nasional PASIM and identify the factors affecting the balance between these two aspects. Using a qualitative method with interviews as the data collection technique, this study reveals the role of the social environment, particularly peer interactions, in supporting motivation, academic achievement, and student well-being. The findings show that a conducive campus social environment, through interaction with peers, serves as a source of emotional support and information that can enhance motivation and academic performance. Conversely, a less supportive social environment can hinder focus and decrease students' enthusiasm for learning. Students also face challenges in balancing academic demands and social life due to the heavy schedule of classes, academic tasks, organizational activities, and social engagements. The research findings indicate that time management skills and prioritization are key factors in maintaining the balance between academics and social life. The inability to manage time effectively may lead to stress and academic burnout. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of a supportive social environment and good self-management skills in fostering academic success and student well-being.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance principles in inclusive public services in Candisari District, Semarang City. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of sub-district officials and community service users, including vulnerable groups. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of good governance principles in Candisari District has begun, but has not been running optimally. The principle of transparency has been attempted through the provision of service information and the use of digital media, but accessibility of information for vulnerable groups is still limited. The principle of accountability has not been fully realized, as indicated by the less than optimal performance of the Women and Children Protection Task Force (Satgas PPA) in carrying out its duties and the less than optimal inclusive public complaint mechanism. From the aspect of participation, community involvement, especially vulnerable groups, in the planning and decision-making process is still limited and unstructured. In addition, legal certainty and regional security stability are relatively conducive, but still require institutional strengthening and synergy between stakeholders. This study concludes that the implementation of good governance in Candisari District still faces institutional, participation, and service accessibility constraints, so a strategy is needed to strengthen governance to realize inclusive and sustainable public services.

This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers' teaching styles on the formation of student character in the school environment. The study focuses on comparing democratic-humanist and authoritarian teaching styles, and their implications for student character development. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature review approach, through a systematic analysis of books, scientific articles, and previous research results relevant to the topic of teaching styles and character education. The results and discussion indicate that education is not only oriented towards academic achievement, but also on the formation of moral values, attitudes, and personality of students. Teachers have a strategic role as educators, mentors, and role models whose behavior and teaching styles greatly influence student character. Democratic and humanist teaching styles have been shown to encourage the growth of self-confidence, courage to express opinions, independence, empathy, and moral integrity in students. Conversely, authoritarian teaching styles tend to instill fear, reduce creativity, weaken self-confidence, and shape students' character under pressure. This study confirms that student character formation is strongly influenced by the quality of teacher-student interactions, the emotional atmosphere in the classroom, role models, and moral communication established by teachers. Therefore, a balance is needed in implementing a firm but humanistic teaching style in order to create a learning environment that is conducive to optimal character formation of students.

Students’ learning motivation is a crucial factor in determining the success of the learning process in schools and is influenced by various external factors, including teacher competence and learning facilities. Teachers with adequate competence are able to manage learning activities effectively, while sufficient learning facilities create a conducive environment that supports student engagement and enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of teacher competence and learning facilities on students’ learning motivation at SMA Islam Al-Munir Bekasi City. This research employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. The research population consisted of all eleventh and twelfth-grade students of SMA Islam Al-Munir Bekasi in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 55 students. A saturated sampling technique was applied, in which the entire population was used as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents and supported by interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation, meaning that higher levels of teacher competence in pedagogical, professional, personal, and social aspects lead to increased student motivation. In addition, learning facilities also have a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation, showing that adequate learning infrastructure and facilities are able to enhance students’ interest and enthusiasm for learning. Simultaneously, teacher competence and learning facilities have a significant effect on students’ learning motivation at SMA Islam Al-Munir Bekasi City. Education is a conscious effort to create effective learning conditions to develop self-potential, intelligence, and noble character. A clean campus environment is one of the crucial external factors that support the smoothness of the teaching and learning process and the comfort of the entire academic community. This study aims to analyze and determine the extent of the influence of campus environmental cleanliness on student learning activities at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Nasional Pasim. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive verificative approach. The research population includes 123 first semester students of the Faculty of Economics, with a sample of 94 respondents determined through the Slovin formula at a 5% error rate. Data were collected through closed questionnaires and analyzed using validity, reliability, and simple linear regression tests through SPSS software. The results showed that the instrument variables for environmental conditions and learning activities were declared reliable with a Cronbach's Alpha value above 0.60. The regression test results obtained a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.414, which indicates that campus environmental cleanliness has a 41.4% influence on student learning activities, while the remaining 58.6% is influenced by other factors. The ANOVA test produced a significance value of 0.000 with an Fcount value of 57.143, which is greater than the Ftable of 3.94, thus the research hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, campus environmental cleanliness has a significant influence in creating a conducive learning atmosphere, increasing student focus, and intrinsic motivation. The university is advised to prioritize cleanliness management to realize a productive academic environment.
