Sustainable management of coastal spaces is a major challenge in urban-coastal planning, especially in vulnerable areas such as Medan Belawan. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of six independent variables on the sustainability of coastal space management. The variables studied included Microecological Inequality, Inclusivity of Coastal Asset Ownership, Adaptive Preparedness to Climate Risks, Inter-Functional Spatial Connectivity, Local Institutional Accountability, and Communal Social Resilience. The method used is a quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression model on primary data obtained through surveys, field observations, and in-depth interviews with 150 respondents. The results showed that five of the six variables had a significant effect on the sustainability of coastal space management. The most dominant variable was Local Institutional Accountability, followed by Asset Inclusivity, Ecological Inequality, Social Resilience, and Adaptive Readiness. Meanwhile, Connectivity between Spatial Functions does not have a significant impact. The regression model shows an R² value of 0.539 which means that 53.9% of the variation in coastal space management can be explained by these six variables. These findings imply the importance of strengthening participatory governance, equitable distribution of space access, and building community's adaptive capacity as a cornerstone for contextual and sustainable coastal spatial planning. Strategic recommendations are directed at institutional reform, community-based planning, and micro-ecological conservation in urban-coastal areas.

The buffer zone of BJ. Habibie Grand Forest Park (Tahura) in Bihe Village, Asparaga District, plays a strategic role in balancing environmental conservation and community agricultural activities. However, the widespread practice of monoculture corn farming and land clearing through burning threatens ecosystem sustainability and accelerates environmental degradation. This study aims to analyze farmers’ perceptions of buffer zone management and to identify the challenges and potential for transitioning to sustainable agricultural systems. A descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach was used through field observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The findings indicate that most farmers possess basic awareness of the importance of conservation areas, but there are notable knowledge gaps regarding regulations and environmentally friendly practices. Although some farmers acknowledge the negative impacts of land burning and monoculture, economic limitations, inherited customs, and lack of technological support remain significant obstacles. Nevertheless, respondents expressed a high willingness to change their farming practices if provided with training and incentives. This study recommends a participatory strategy involving government bodies, conservation institutions, and academics to build farmers’ capacity and promote the adoption of sustainable agricultural technologies. A collaborative approach that considers the socio-economic realities of local communities is essential to ensure the long-term sustainability of the BJ. Habibie buffer zone without compromising farmers’ welfare.

This study aims to describe the Analysis of the Implementation of Policy and Integrated Transportation of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Medan City. The qualitative research method is also known as a method where the research is conducted under natural conditions. This research method is a scientific procedure or approach to obtain data with specific objectives. Data analysis is the process of systematically searching for and organizing data. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data obtained are then analysed through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that the Medan City Government is currently implementing significant development in urban mobility with two main activities: the development of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and the development of Kesawan and Merdeka Square areas. Both activities emphasize the importance of developing pedestrian and cyclist facilities while facilitating the people of Medan City in accessing public transportation. These efforts are positive actions taken by the Medan City Government toward the development of sustainable urban mobility while ensuring that all corners of Medan City can be reached by quality public transportation.

The purpose of this study is to determine the potential for industrial development in Dairi Regency. The research method used is a qualitative research method that is library research using books and other literature as the main object. The results of the study show that geographical conditions, climate, and natural resources support various types of plants. The leading commodities are curly chilies, shallots, ginger, turmeric, corn, paddy fields, durian, Siamese oranges, Arabica coffee, and Robusta coffee. The potential for developing the fisheries industry with a focus on tilapia, carp, catfish, and jurung. The potential for developing tourism with ecotourism; trekking, mountain biking, observing flora and fauna, relaxing at Lake Toba. Agrotourism: visiting coffee, tea, orange plantations, learning about cultivation, then farming. Culinary and cultural tourism; art and cultural performances, cooking classes, culinary tourism. Kampung Mosso is one of the villages located in the Jayapura city government area and is a border area between the Republic of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The people in Kampung Mosso work as farmers. The agricultural commodities cultivated in the village are sago, corn, bananas, cassava, etc. However, agriculture in the village is still only to meet the needs of life. Not many people in the village have cultivated agriculture, especially food crops, optimally. Therefore, this community service will try to offer a solution, namely training in the use of home ground land as a strategy to increase food security in border areas. The results of this community service showed that two groups of people in Kampung Mosso were able to cultivate fish and vegetables in buckets, but another group was not able to cultivate fish and vegetables in buckets. The suggestion that needs to be done from this activity is intensive assistance and monitoring to several community groups so that they become more proficient in agricultural and fisheries cultivation.

The research proposes an innovative approach to identifying and positioning vehicle number plates using a combination of Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER) and Harris Corner methods. The MSER method is used to detect stable regions on the vehicle number plate image. MSER has the ability to recognize areas that have significant contrast intensity, which often represents the characteristic of the number plate. After identifying the potential regions, the Harris Corner method was applied to determine the characteristic angles. The cross points on the number plate. The combination of these two methods allows for more accurate and reliable identification of the position of the number plate. In this study the author performs optimization by changing the preprocessing part and the part of the MSER method. In the preprosessing the author changes the morphological part of a filter, in the section of the method MSER adds input arguments such as ThresholdDelta, RegionAreaRange, and MaxAreaVariation. The results of this study are 99.27% accuracy, 82.73% precision and 83.14% recall. Previous studies were 98.85%, 67.61% and 79.66% recalls. Based on the results of these values, the study has successfully optimized previous studies.

Roads are infrastructure that really supports people's living needs. In a broader dimension, the road network has a very important role in regional development, both national, regional and district/city areas according to the function of the road network. The condition of the road damage that occurred on a number of roads in the Makassar city area is increasingly worrying. The reason is that the condition of the road, which was initially slightly damaged due to being abandoned, is now getting worse with deep potholes. As a result, the smoothness of traffic and the safety and comfort of road users are disrupted. This research is intended to provide information regarding the types of road damage that occur, factors causing road damage and mitigation efforts carried out on the Tanjung Bunga metro road, Makassar city. The data collection method is in the form of a visual survey of types of road damage carried out directly in the field and data analysis using the Bina Marga method. The results of research in the field show that the greatest road damage on rigid pavement is grain release with a percentage of 0.076 percent on the left section and 0.089 percent on the right section, while the smallest type of road damage is corner cracking with a percentage of 0.0035 percent on the left section. and 0.0027 percent on the right side. The biggest type of road damage on flexible pavement is grain shedding with a percentage of 0.121 percent on the left section and 0.088 percent on the right section, while the smallest type of damage on the left section is edge cracking with a percentage of 0.003 percent and the type of damage sinking on the right section with a percentage 0.002 percent. Among the most dominant types of damage is grain release.
