This research aims to analyze the implications of the transition in lease accounting standards to PSAK 73 on tax efficiency levels and net income structures within the retail industry, focusing on PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk as case studies. Employing a descriptive quantitative method, this research compares financial statement data from the 2017-2024 period to evaluate shifts before and after the regulation's enforcement. The results reveal that the implementation of PSAK 73 successfully improved corporate tax efficiency, characterized by a decrease in the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) below the statutory corporate tax rate. This was achieved by leveraging temporary differences that resulted in the recognition of deferred tax assets, providing a strategic advantage in the form of tax deferral. On the other hand, the application of this standard caused significant pressure on net profit during the initial transition phase due to the front-loading expense pattern derived from right-of-use asset depreciation and lease liability interest.

This research was designed to explore the extent to which public beliefs influence the implementation of Digital traceability  systems in the halal industrial sector. The approach used was quantitative with a survey method, where questionnaires were distributed to 60 respondents who were consumers of halal products in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression via Microsoft Excel. Research findings indicate that public confidence has a positive and significant influence on the adoption of Digital traceability  systems, with a regression coefficient of 0.476 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). In addition, the coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.219 indicates that public confidence contributes 21.9% to the implementation of the Digital traceability  system, while the rest is determined by other factors that were not researched. These findings confirm that public trust is an important element in encouraging acceptance of digital technology, especially in the halal industry which relies heavily on transparency and consumer confidence. Thus, implementing a Digital traceability  system that is supported by information openness and easy access to technology can be an effective strategy to strengthen consumer trust while expanding technology adoption.

Given the important objectives that banks strive to achieve through financial stability and their role in ensuring its continuity and ability to face various economic challenges, many have expanded their policies beyond their traditional functions by adopting a range of additional practices and activities that contribute to strengthening their developmental role in society. Among the most prominent of these practices are corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, which have become a crucial aspect of the work of contemporary financial institutions. In this context, this research highlights CSR practices in banks. It relied on a sample of nine Iraqi banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange, which are characterized by their continued banking operations and regular publication of their annual financial reports. The research period was set from 2014 to 2023, and included a set of statistical tests that incorporated a number of financial determinants as control variables to determine their contribution to enhancing the impact of CSR when included alongside it, and to define the nature of the relationship between the research variables. We have reached a number of conclusions, most notably that when regulatory variables are included in the analysis model, this effect becomes statistically insignificant, which indicates that banks’ interest in internal financial factors still outweighs their interest in social aspects.

his study examines the concept of sustainable business development through the lens of Islamic economics, focusing on the integration of three core dimensions: financial profit (profit), social empowerment (people), and environmental stewardship (planet). The urgency of this research is driven by the global environmental crisis and social inequality, which demand business models that pursue long-term welfare rather than merely short-term gains. Using a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review, this research analyzes how Islamic economic principles—including tawhid, justice ('adl), and the responsibility of khalifah—align with and reinforce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The findings indicate that the Profit-People-Planet framework is not only compatible with Islamic teachings but is deeply embedded in Islamic economic ethics and the maqashid al-shariah framework. Instruments such as zakat, waqf, and Islamic financing serve as practical mechanisms that simultaneously support halal profit generation, enhance community welfare distributively, and ensure environmental protection through the principle of hifz al-bi’ah. This study concludes that Islamic economics offers a holistic, ethical, and value-based framework for building sustainable businesses that are profitable, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious in the modern era.

This study aims to evaluate how petty cash management practices contribute to improving operational efficiency at PT Anugerah Langgeng Berkat Abadi. This research focuses on examining the implementation of the petty cash management system, applied procedures, and its impact on the smooth execution of daily operational activities. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, direct observation, and documentation during the internship period. The collected data were analyzed systematically to describe the actual condition of petty cash management within the company. The results indicate that PT Anugerah Langgeng Berkat Abadi implements a fluctuating fund system in managing petty cash. Expenditures are initially recorded manually and then re-entered into the company’s internal digital system to maintain control and accountability. Petty cash is used to finance routine and urgent operational needs, such as office stationery, transportation costs, and other short-term expenditures. The company has established standard operating procedures governing the use, recording, and accountability of petty cash. Several challenges were identified, including delays in the disbursement and reimbursement process, which may affect time efficiency. However, overall, the petty cash management system is considered effective in supporting short-term operational needs without disrupting the stability of the company’s main cash. This study concludes that systematic and well-controlled petty cash management plays an important role in the company’s cost efficiency strategy and supports daily operational activities. These findings align with strategic management principles, where appropriate financial decision-making contributes to the achievement of long-term organizational objectives.

This research investigates the effect of the amount of MSMEs, the number of buildings, and GRDP on regional tax revenue in selected cities and regencies in South Sulawesi, driven by the inconsistency between the growth of economic potential and the realization of tax revenue, where increases in MSMEs, buildings, and GRDP are not always followed by higher tax receipts. The study aims to analyze the effect of these variables and identify the most significant factors contributing to regional fiscal capacity. A quantitative approach is employed using panel data that combine time series and cross-sectional data from 2015-2024, analyzed through panel data regression with model selection based on Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier test. The results show that partially, MSMEs and the number of buildings do not have a significant effect on tax revenue, while GRDP has a positive significant impact; however, simultaneously, all variables significantly influence tax revenue, as indicated by a high Adjusted R-squared value. These findings suggest that economic growth, as proxied by GRDP, plays a more dominant role in increasing tax revenue compared to the mere increase in the number of MSMEs and buildings, implying that optimizing tax revenue requires not only expanding economic potential but also enhancing tax compliance, administrative efficiency, and the quality of economic growth.

This research investigates how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices influence the tax liabilities of consumer cyclical companies in Indonesia between 2020 and 2024. By employing the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) as a proxy for tax burden, the study analyzes 160 data points from 32 purposively selected firms. Utilizing a Fixed Effect Model for panel data regression, the empirical results indicate that superior ESG performance significantly correlates with a higher ETR. This suggests that corporations with higher sustainability transparency tend to exhibit better tax compliance and avoid aggressive tax avoidance schemes. Grounded in stakeholder and legitimacy theories, these findings underscore that ethical ESG adoption strengthens public accountability and enhances the integrity of corporate governance within the Indonesian capital market.

The development of digital technology has encouraged the transformation of the financial sector through the emergence of Sharia financial technology (fintech) as a financial service based on Islamic principles that emphasize justice, transparency, and public benefit (maslahah). The presence of various Sharia fintech products such as Sharia peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, Sharia crowdfunding, Sharia E-wallets, and digital ZISWAF (zakat, infaq, alms, and waqf) services is considered capable of increasing financial inclusion in Indonesia, especially for unbanked communities and MSMEs that have limited access to formal financial services. This study aims to analyze the innovation of Sharia fintech products, their role in increasing financial inclusion, and their conformity with the perspective of Islamic Economic Law. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through collecting data from scientific journals, DSN-MUI fatwas, OJK and Bank Indonesia regulations, as well as various literature related to Sharia fintech published within the last five years. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively and analytically by examining the concepts, implementation, and regulations of Sharia fintech in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that Sharia fintech has a strategic role in expanding public access to financial services through the digitalization of financing, payments, and Islamic social fund collection. In addition to increasing Islamic financial inclusion and literacy, Sharia fintech also helps reduce transaction costs, facilitate MSME financing access, and expand the distribution of financial services to remote areas. From a Sharia perspective, the operation of Sharia fintech must continue to adhere to DSN-MUI fatwas and maqashid sharia principles in order to avoid elements of riba, gharar, and maisir and to create justice and public benefit for society. Therefore, Sharia fintech has a great opportunity to support the development of an inclusive and sustainable Islamic digital economy in Indonesia, although strengthening regulations, Sharia supervision, public education, and product innovation based on community needs are still required.

This study aims to understand the role of E-Commerce in building customer loyalty, explain the process of loyalty formation, and assess how customers perceive service quality in relation to loyalty, using the GoFood service in Jombang as a case study. The rapid growth of online food delivery services has intensified competition, making customer loyalty a critical factor for sustainability. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 30 GoFood customers and several drivers in the Jombang area. The findings reveal that E-Commerce platforms significantly enhance loyalty through user-friendly application interfaces, supporting features (such as live tracking, history, and digital payments), and beneficial promotions. The loyalty formation process occurs gradually through consistent positive experiences, moving from customer satisfaction to trust, and ultimately to habitual use. Crucially, the quality of driver services—including politeness, effective communication, punctuality, and order accuracy—emerged as a key determinant of customer comfort and repeat orders. This study implies that for E-Commerce platforms to maintain a competitive edge, strategies must integrate digital convenience with consistently reliable human interactions. The research contributes empirical insights from a semi-urban Indonesian context, highlighting that customer loyalty is not merely transactional but is built on a combination of technological ease, economic value, and positive interpersonal service experiences.

This study aims to examine the effect of working capital efficiency and leverage on profitability and its implications for firm value in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2025 period. The post-COVID-19 pandemic condition has increased operational risks for manufacturing companies due to fluctuations in interest rates, exchange rates, cash management, inventories, and receivables. Therefore, companies are required to implement more effective financial strategies to maintain competitiveness. Profitability is positioned as an intervening variable because previous studies showed inconsistent results regarding the relationship between working capital efficiency, leverage, profitability, and firm value. This research uses a quantitative approach with path analysis to examine direct and indirect relationships among variables. The population consists of all manufacturing companies listed on the IDX, while the sample includes 45 companies selected from 270 firms using purposive sampling based on specific criteria, such as consistent listing and financial performance. The results indicate that working capital efficiency has a significant positive effect on profitability, leverage has a significant negative effect on profitability, profitability significantly increases firm value, and profitability fully mediates the effect of working capital efficiency and leverage on firm value. These findings provide theoretical and practical implications for managers and investors in financial decision-making.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), financial performance, and Earning Per Share (EPS) on firm value. The object of this research consists of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2021–2024. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of annual financial statements as the primary source. The sample was selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria, ensuring that only companies with complete data and consistent reporting were included in the analysis. The independent variables analyzed include the audit committee, independent commissioners, institutional ownership, Return on Assets (ROA), and Earning Per Share (EPS). Multiple linear regression analysis was used to process the data in this study, allowing the researchers to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of the variables on firm value. The findings indicate that firm value is significantly influenced by financial performance, particularly ROA, highlighting the importance of operational efficiency and profitability in enhancing shareholder wealth. While certain GCG variables such as institutional ownership showed positive influence, other elements like audit committees and independent commissioners produced mixed results, suggesting that governance mechanisms may have varying effects depending on organizational context. Meanwhile, EPS demonstrated inconsistent results in relation to firm value, implying that market perceptions of earnings may not fully capture the impact on overall firm valuation. This study provides insights for policymakers, investors, and corporate managers on the relative importance of governance and financial indicators in value creation for state-owned enterprises.

This study examines the role of halal tourism in enhancing destination competitiveness and strengthening the Islamic economy within the tourism sector. This research employs a systematic literature review to synthesize findings from relevant academic sources. The results indicate that halal tourism contributes significantly to destination competitiveness by increasing tourist arrivals and encouraging product diversification. In addition, it supports the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promotes local economic growth through a multiplier effect. Halal tourism also fosters ethical business practices and sustainable tourism development aligned with Islamic principles. However, its implementation faces key challenges, including limited infrastructure, complex halal certification procedures, and perceptions of exclusivity among non-Muslim tourists. Therefore, strategic efforts are required to improve Muslim-friendly infrastructure, streamline certification processes, strengthen MSME capacity through training and digitalization, and adopt inclusive branding strategies. These measures are expected to enhance the competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability of halal tourism destinations in the global market.
