The banking sector plays a strategic role in supporting financial system stability and capital market development. Market performance, reflected through stock returns, represents investor confidence in a firm’s prospects and sustainability. In recent years, investors have increasingly considered non-financial factors such as intellectual capital and corporate social responsibility in evaluating firm value. However, empirical findings regarding the effect of these factors on market performance remain inconsistent, particularly in the Indonesian banking sector. This study aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital and corporate social responsibility on market performance of conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports. Intellectual capital is measured using the Value Added Intellectual Coefficient method, while corporate social responsibility is measured using a disclosure index based on the Global Reporting Initiative. Market performance is proxied by stock returns. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Squares approach. The results indicate that intellectual capital and corporate social responsibility have a positive and significant effect on market performance. These findings suggest that effective management of intangible assets and social responsibility disclosure can enhance investor perception and firm value. The results provide important implications for bank management in formulating value-enhancing strategies and for investors in making investment decisions.

With financial inclusion acting as a moderator, the goal of this study is to examine how financial technology use and financial literacy impact microbusiness performance. Microbusinesses in Bandar Lampung City's food and beverage industry serve as the research subjects. This study employs a quantitative approach, using questionnaires to collect primary data from microenterprises. Purposeful sampling was used to choose 203 microbusinesses that met the research criteria. SPSS was utilized to analyze the data using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The study's conclusions imply that the use of financial technology has an effect on microenterprises' performance. Additionally, it has been shown that financial literacy affects microenterprise performance. The findings show that key components in increasing microbusiness performance are the use of financial technology and the entrepreneur's capacity to supervise and make financial decisions. However, the test results indicate that financial inclusion cannot boost the impact of financial technology and financial expertise on microbusiness performance. This implies that the influence of financial technology and financial knowledge on business success is not necessarily enhanced by having access to financial services. It also shows that a key factor in increasing the success of microbusinesses is the characteristics of the entrepreneur. The research's objectives are to assist important stakeholders in creating plans for microenterprise growth, as well as to assist microenterprise actors in improving their financial literacy and utilizing financial technology to its fullest.

This study aims to assess the financial performance of the Sukoharjo Regency Government during the 2023-2024 period by employing cash flow statements as the primary analytical tool. Cash flow statements are considered essential as they provide a clear picture of liquidity conditions and the actual capacity of local governments to manage cash inflows and outflows. This research applies a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from audited Budget Realization Reports and Cash Flow Statements. Financial performance is evaluated through revenue effectiveness ratios and expenditure efficiency ratios as key indicators of fiscal management. The results indicate that regional revenue realization consistently exceeded the established targets throughout the study period, placing revenue performance in the very effective category. This finding reflects the local government’s ability to maximize revenue potential during the post-pandemic economic recovery phase. However, the analysis of expenditure efficiency reveals that spending management has not yet reached an optimal level, as expenditure realization remained close to the allocated budget limits. These findings demonstrate that strong revenue performance does not necessarily correspond with efficient expenditure control. Consequently, local government financial performance should be evaluated comprehensively by integrating both revenue effectiveness and expenditure efficiency perspectives. This study contributes empirically to public sector accounting literature and offers practical insights for policymakers to strengthen budget control mechanisms and promote sustainable financial management at the regional level.

The research focuses on how variations in Total Assets Turnover, Inventory Turnover, Fixed Assets Turnover, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Quick Ratio affect profitability, especially during periods of economic instability like the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to identify which financial ratios have the most significant influence on profit performance. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing secondary data from 42 observations of seven manufacturing firms, selected through purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis, supported by SPSS software, was used to test the hypotheses. The findings show that all five ratios collectively have a significant impact on profit variations, with an F-statistic of 2.568 and a significance value of 0.044. However, when tested individually, only Total Assets Turnover and Inventory Turnover showed significant effects, while Fixed Assets Turnover, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Quick Ratio did not. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.263, indicating that 26.3% of the variation in profit can be explained by the analyzed variables.

The financial crisis experienced by PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk prompted the company to enter into a Debt Payment Suspension (PKPU) process as a legal measure to avoid bankruptcy and restructure its finances. The complexity of debt, liquidity pressures, and post-pandemic operational challenges have made PKPU a strategic instrument for obtaining debt payment deferrals and formulating a settlement plan that is acceptable to creditors. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of PKPU affects Garuda's rescue efforts from the threat of bankruptcy and assess the extent to which the debt restructuring resulting from PKPU in 2021–2023 effectively improves the company's financial condition. The method used is normative legal research with a legislative, conceptual, and case study approach to the homologation decision and Garuda Indonesia's official financial reports. The results of the study show that PKPU provides legal certainty for debtors and creditors through a collective postponement mechanism, and debt restructuring has been proven to significantly reduce the company's liabilities from around US$10.1 billion to around US$4.6 billion, while improving financial and operational stability in the short to medium term. In conclusion, PKPU serves as an effective corporate rescue instrument, while post-PKPU debt restructuring provides a strong foundation for Garuda Indonesia's financial recovery, although long-term sustainability still depends on the consistent implementation of the peace plan and the company's operational performance.

Traditional snack micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia face increasing market competition and rapidly changing consumer preferences, particularly among younger consumers seeking innovative and symbolic food experiences. This community engagement study aims to strengthen the profitability and sustainability of traditional snack MSMEs by integrating local flavor innovation with simple business governance practices. Using a participatory action research approach under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in Palangka Raya, this study involved co-creation between students and local entrepreneurs in product development, production standardization, and basic financial management. Qualitative data were collected through participatory observation and stakeholder discussions, while quantitative data were obtained from sales records and simple financial reports. The results demonstrate that local flavor-based innovation, combined with standardized operating procedures and cost control mechanisms, improved product differentiation, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The intervention generated a positive net profit and strengthened the partner’s capacity for independent business management. This study contributes to the literature by positioning traditional food MSMEs as sites of cultural innovation and micro-governance, while supporting Sustainable Development Goals related to inclusive economic growth, cultural preservation, and responsible production.

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work environment, and workload on employee performance at PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk, Semarang Branch, using the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Theory as its underlying framework. The JD-R model posits that employee performance and well-being depend on the balance between job demands and job resources. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 56 employees from the Central Operation division, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 21. The results reveal that leadership style and work environment have positive and significant effects on employee performance, while workload has a significant negative effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.673 indicates that the three variables collectively explain 67.3% of employee performance variation. Respondents perceived that communication and support from leaders were strong, and social relations in the workplace were positive, although workload and performance targets were considered relatively high. These findings reinforce the JD-R Theory (Bakker & Demerouti, 2017), showing that leadership and work environment function as job resources that enhance motivation and performance, whereas excessive workload represents job demands that may hinder employee outcomes if not properly managed. Practically, organizations in the financial services sector should maintain a balance between job demands and job resources to achieve sustainable employee performance improvement.

This study aims to determine the impact of Financial Technology (Fintech) and digital banking on the overall performance of conventional banking institutions in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach using a comprehensive literature review as its primary method. Data analysis in this study was conducted through an extensive review of various sources, including books, peer-reviewed journal articles, research reports, official websites, newspapers, and magazines, to obtain a holistic understanding of the topic. The results of this study indicate that both Fintech and digital banking significantly affect the performance of conventional banks in Indonesia. Specifically, the effect of Fintech on conventional banking is reflected in a decrease in traditional banking profitability, because Fintech platforms provide alternative channels and competition in credit distribution and financial services. Meanwhile, the effect of digital banking on conventional banking includes improvements in operational efficiency, wider service accessibility for customers, and noticeable changes in customer behavior and expectations. These findings suggest that conventional banks must adapt strategically to remain competitive in the evolving financial ecosystem.

Changes in intergovernmental fiscal transfer policies and the increasing emphasis on spending efficiency in Indonesia have encouraged regional governments to strengthen fiscal independence through the optimization of locally generated revenues, particularly local taxes. This study aims to evaluate local tax performance as a strategic instrument for supporting regional fiscal autonomy and fiscal resilience under fiscal decentralization. The analysis focuses on regional governments in Lampung Province during Fiscal Years 2019–2023. Using a descriptive quantitative research design, this study employs secondary data obtained from audited regional financial reports. The analytical framework applies a value for money approach to assess local tax effectiveness, complemented by growth ratio analysis to examine revenue dynamics over time. The findings indicate that local tax performance varies considerably across regions, revenue growth remains volatile, and fiscal resilience is more likely to emerge in regions where effectiveness and growth are relatively balanced. Overall, the results suggest that strengthening fiscal autonomy requires not only achieving revenue targets but also ensuring stable and sustainable local tax performance.

This study aims to analyze the effect of global diversification, exchange rates, and interest rates on the performance of mixed mutual funds in Indonesia during the period 2020–2024. The method used is a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique, using secondary data from the Financial Services Authority, Bank Indonesia, and Bareksa. The sample consists of three mixed mutual fund products that meet the criteria of portfolio data completeness, net asset value, and performance report publication. The results show that exchange rates have a positive and significant effect on mutual fund performance, indicating that exchange rate fluctuations play an important role in determining changes in portfolio returns. The global diversification variable proved to have no significant effect, illustrating that exposure to international markets has not provided stable benefits in improving the performance of mixed mutual funds. Interest rates also did not show a significant effect because the composition of mixed portfolios was able to withstand the impact of monetary policy changes. Simultaneously, the three independent variables were able to explain 66.7 percent of the variation in mixed mutual fund performance, indicating that macroeconomic dynamics and portfolio strategies have an important contribution in influencing the performance of this collective investment instrument.

Credit card fraud is a critical issue in digital financial transactions. This study aims to develop and evaluate fraud detection models using Logistic Regression and Gradient Boosting on an imbalanced dataset, where fraudulent transactions constitute only a small portion of the data. To address this imbalance, the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) was applied during preprocessing. Logistic Regression, used as a baseline model, achieved 95% accuracy, 78.6% precision, 55.9% recall, and a 65.3% F1-score. After applying class weighting and SMOTE, recall improved to 88.7%, but precision dropped to 52%, indicating that the model became overly sensitive and prone to false positives. Gradient Boosting initially produced better results, with 98% accuracy, 95.5% precision, 84.3% recall, and an 89.5% F1-score. After hyperparameter tuning and resampling, its performance improved further to 96.7% precision, 86.1% recall, and a 91.1% F1-score. These results indicate that Gradient Boosting is more effective in handling imbalanced data and offers greater reliability in detecting fraudulent transactions. The findings support the growing evidence in favor of ensemble learning techniques in fraud detection applications. This research contributes practical insights into improving the accuracy and security of machine learning-based fraud detection systems in financial services.
