This Community Service Programme was implemented to address the issues faced by Bank Sampah Anggrek's partners in Bendogerit Village, Blitar City. The main problems faced by the partners included limited variety of recycled products, simple waste processing techniques, and ineffective marketing strategies. Activities include socialisation, strengthening local partnerships, recycling training, and digital marketing assistance. As a result, members of the Waste Bank were able to create three new products: plant pots made from orange peels, carnival costumes made from fabric and plastic waste, and ecobrick furniture, and establish collaborations with two local businesses. The constraints of the Community Service Programme activities included limited production facilities, inconsistent participant attendance, low digital literacy, and competition with traditional waste collectors. This programme demonstrates that a waste bank-based sociopreneurship model can have economic, social, and environmental impacts while supporting sustainable waste management strategies. The programme was also successful due to its participatory approach, which actively involved Anggrek Waste Bank members in every step. Participants not only gained new information, but also acquired practical skills that can be used in the processing and marketing of recycled goods. This community service programme greatly helps to raise awareness of the importance of community-based circular economy. While reducing negative impacts on the environment, the sociopreneurship model can boost the community's economy. Bank Sampah Anggrek has the potential to develop into a centre for sustainable waste management innovation at the neighbourhood level by strengthening local capacity and opening up opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.

The primary goal of this Community Service Program (PKM) is to assist local farmers in utilizing rabbit urine waste—previously discarded into a value-added product in the form of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). This innovation aims not only to enhance technical production skills but also to stimulate local economic growth through entrepreneurship based on local resources. The program involves several strategic steps: designing a simple fermentation device using a 20-liter bucket equipped with an airlock and digital thermometer; providing technical training in the LOF-making process, quality control, and hygiene standards; offering entrepreneurial mentoring in production management, financial recording, branding, and marketing; and developing local distribution networks through farmer groups and agricultural shops. The results show that partners can independently produce consistent-quality LOF, packaged in 600 ml bottles with simple labeling for commercial appeal. The program improves technical and entrepreneurial skills, increases farmers’ income, fosters cooperation, and supports sustainable agriculture through environmentally friendly waste utilization.

Waste cooking oil that is disposed of without treatment can cause environmental pollution and endanger human health if continuously ignored. One innovative solution with economic value to address this problem is by producing mosquito-repellent aromatherapy candles. This activity, titled “LAMITA,” was carried out through entrepreneurship training and socialization provided to students and MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Banyumuncar, Banyuraden Village, Gamping, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The training introduced techniques for processing unused cooking oil into eco-friendly mosquito-repellent aromatherapy candles, while also developing participants’ entrepreneurial skills. Students and MSME actors were guided step by step, starting from oil purification, mixing natural essential oils, to candle molding and packaging. The purpose of this activity was not only to promote environmental awareness but also to encourage creativity and innovation in producing high-value products from waste materials. The results showed that participants gained increased knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, as well as awareness of the importance of managing waste responsibly. This activity highlights that entrepreneurship training combined with environmental sustainability can empower communities to generate economic benefits while contributing to health and ecological protection.

This research positions tourism as a key driver for rural economic transformation via the Community-Based Ecotourism model. Lubuk Langkap Nature Tourism Village, South Bengkulu, has excellent natural assets (pristine), such as clear rivers and tropical forests, supported by good social capital. However, this potential is structurally constrained by a Severe Institutional Crisis within the Village-Owned Enterprise, marked by informal management, lack of standard accounting, and vulnerability to moral hazard risk (misconduct). The Main Thesis asserts that this institutional crisis is not merely a technical issue but a major root problem that weakens Social Capital, damages community Capability, and risks permanent environmental damage. The study uses in-depth strategic analysis focusing on the New Institutional Economics and an integrated SWOT framework, employing interpretive descriptive qualitative methods. The analysis formulates an integrated Community-Based Ecotourism development strategy within a Governance framework that is Strengthened by Risk a system designed to become more resilient when facing shocks (moral hazard risk). The Integrated Action Strategy includes: (1) Establishing Exclusive Village-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Control Rights over the entrance gate and Environmental Carrying Capacity; (2) Implementing a physical Daily Public Financial Dashboard to prevent misconduct; and (3) Legalizing Village Regulations (Perdes) on Conservation Zoning and Maximum Daily Visitor Limits. Implementing a Niche Premium Operational Business Plan (OBP), detailing a High Pricing Strategy (including a Conservation Fee) and a fair Proportional Revenue Sharing Formula, is key to achieving improved welfare and ecological sustainability in South Bengkulu.

Tedunan Beach in Seluma Regency, Bengkulu, holds exceptional potential as an ecotourism asset, attributed to its authentic and untouched natural landscape, featuring white sand stretches and a unique mangrove ecosystem. Sustainable tourism development, however, demands active participation and entrepreneurship from the local community, which is key to ensuring the equitable distribution of economic benefits and environmental preservation. This research aims to analyze the current community entrepreneurship models, identify challenges hindering business growth, and formulate strategic opportunities for development. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with business actors and community leaders, participant observation, and documentation studies. Findings indicate that community-based businesses have grown organically, albeit on a micro scale, encompassing fresh seafood culinary stalls, tourist hut rentals, and local guide services. Nevertheless, this growth is hampered by fundamental constraints: limited access to formal working capital, minimal promotion hindering market penetration, and a lack of professional training in financial management and tourism service standards. In response, an integrated development model is formulated recommending: increasing human resource capacity through business management and tourism awareness training, facilitating access to capital through partnerships, and strengthening digital-based promotion. In conclusion, Tedunan Beach tourism can be sustainable if supported by a comprehensive empowerment program that not only boosts economic income but also essentially fosters a sense of ownership and community responsibility towards the destination's preservation.

Increasing the rate of entrepreneurship is crucial for promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, as it serves as a vital component of the economy and job creation. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence entrepreneurial intention among Generation Z (Gen Z), with a specific focus on financial literacy and motivational factors as mediating variables. A total of 114 Gen Z individuals domiciled in West Java participated as respondents in this study. The research employed quantitative methods with data collection through questionnaires and data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that financial literacy does not have a significant direct effect on entrepreneurial intention. However, motivational factors are found to play an essential mediating role, strengthening the indirect effect of financial literacy on entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the study shows a direct and positive relationship between motivational factors and entrepreneurial intention, as well as a direct effect of financial literacy on motivational factors. These results suggest that enhancing financial literacy alone may not be sufficient to increase entrepreneurial intention without the support of strong motivational drives. The implication of this study highlights the importance of designing educational curricula and training programs that not only build financial knowledge but also foster entrepreneurial motivation. Such efforts can ultimately strengthen entrepreneurial intention and contribute to sustainable economic growth. The limitation of this study lies in its focus on Gen Z respondents exclusively from West Java, which may affect the generalizability of the findings.

This research presents a phenomenological inquiry aimed at deconstructing the conventional marketing paradigm and offering a deeper understanding of alternative practices. It specifically explores the anti-marketing strategy grounded in Islamic values as implemented at Warung Jendil Mbah Yamah, a traditional micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) located in Blitar, East Java. Employing a qualitative approach combined with a phenomenological method, the study gathered rich and nuanced data through several techniques, including in-depth interviews with nine carefully selected informants, participatory observation over an extended period, and systematic documentation studies. The thematic data analysis conducted by the researchers revealed that the warung’s anti-marketing strategy rests firmly on three interconnected pillars: (1) a strong reliance on organic word-of-mouth  communication rather than paid advertising, (2) the deliberate creation of an authentic, personal, and inclusive customer experience that builds emotional bonds with visitors, and (3) the consistent integration of Islamic ethical values into every aspect of business operations. These findings provide a meaningful theoretical contribution by synthesizing the concepts of anti-marketing and Islamic entrepreneurship into a new model of “authentic marketing,” where ethical and spiritual values serve as the strategic foundation for long-term sustainability. In practical terms, the results offer guidance for the broader development of MSMEs in Indonesia, showing that authenticity, ethical commitment, and adherence to core values can represent a stronger and more sustainable competitive advantage than conventional promotional strategies.

This community service program was designed to empower residents of RW 06 Kalibaru, North Jakarta, by transforming local organic waste—such as sawdust and seashells—into a high-value commodity: oyster mushrooms. The training began with a needs assessment to ensure the relevance of the materials, followed by the application of the Adult Education (POD) approach, integrating theoretical and practical learning. The theoretical sessions provided participants with insights into economic prospects, nutritional benefits, and business opportunities, while the practical sessions developed technical skills in substrate preparation, sterilization, inoculation, and mushroom maintenance. The program was reinforced through participatory discussions, demonstrations, and simulations to ensure effective skill transfer. Monitoring and evaluation were conducted via Focus Group Discussions, and continuous mentoring was carried out through field visits, online communication, and the formation of farmer groups as collaborative platforms. As a result, participants demonstrated a significant improvement in knowledge and technical skills, accompanied by greater awareness of the economic potential of previously discarded waste. This initiative not only serves as an innovative solution to environmental problems but also acts as a catalyst for the application of the circular economy, creating micro-enterprise opportunities and strengthening community economic independence. The synergy between universities, the local community, and industry partners is a key factor in sustaining the program, with recommendations for expanding training on product diversification, marketing strategies, and policy support to accelerate business development. Additionally, the success of the program has opened new avenues for sustainable entrepreneurship, particularly in communities with limited resources. The involvement of local stakeholders—such as community leaders and small businesses—has been instrumental in fostering a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for the program's success. The use of organic waste as a resource for mushroom cultivation also aligns with broader environmental goals, such as reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting regional economic growth, job creation, and equitable distribution of community welfare. In Cilegon City, MSMEs are growing rapidly in various sectors, but still face a number of fundamental challenges. The main problems faced include limited access to capital, low utilization of digital technology in business activities, limited managerial capacity, and less than optimal regulatory support oriented towards strengthening MSMEs. These conditions cause the competitiveness of MSMEs to be relatively weak compared to the large business sector, so that their contribution to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Cilegon City is not optimal. This study aims to analyze policy strategies that can support the development of MSMEs in Cilegon City through a descriptive qualitative approach. The method used is a literature study and policy analysis by examining regulations, local government policies, and relevant previous research results. The analysis results show that there are several strategies that can be implemented, including: strengthening regulations and policies that favor MSMEs, expanding access to financing through collaboration with financial and banking institutions, developing human resource capacity through entrepreneurship and business management training, utilizing digital technology to expand market access, and building synergies between local governments, the private sector, and other supporting institutions. The implementation of these strategies is expected to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs, expand marketing networks, and encourage MSMEs to be more adaptive to technological developments and market needs. Thus, MSMEs in Cilegon City can make a more significant contribution to regional economic growth, create new jobs, and support sustainable economic development.

The growing demand for organic fertilizers as an alternative to chemical fertilizers is in line with increasing public awareness of environmentally friendly agriculture. Meanwhile, livestock waste, particularly rabbit urine, remains underutilized and is often discarded, despite its high nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content and potential as a raw material for liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). This study aims to design and develop a simple technological innovation for processing rabbit urine into economically valuable LOF, offering new business opportunities for local communities. Another objective is to advance bioactivator-based processing technology to produce an effective, marketable, and eco-friendly organic fertilizer that enhances plant growth. The research employed an applied research method with an experimental approach, including collection and processing of rabbit urine, simple production of LOF, effectiveness testing on horticultural crops with local farmers, and analysis of business feasibility and local marketing strategies. The study resulted in a simple bioactivator-based technology for converting rabbit urine into LOF through a fermentation process of more than 14 days, producing fertilizer rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The LOF improved horticultural crop growth by 25–30% compared to control plants. The group business model provides livestock farmers with new business opportunities, achieving profit margins between 40% and 50%. This research produced a replicable technology guide and usable LOF product, contributing to waste reduction and supporting sustainable agriculture through community-based entrepreneurship.

Digital technology chance in Indonesia presents both occasions and constraint for the development of Islamic economics, particularly in implementing Islamic business strategies through e-commerce. The adoption of digital technology, including Islamic fintech and halal e-commerce, has expanded market access, improved efficiency, and strengthened MSME competitiveness while adhering to sharia principles. This study employs a qualitative method using library research and the maqāshid shariah framework to examine the role of digital innovations such as fintech and blockchain in supporting Islamic entrepreneurship. The findings indicate that Islamic business strategies in the digital era have the potential to broaden international market reach, enhance transaction clarity, and reinforce compliance with sharia principles. Furthermore, digital innovation aligns with maqāshid shariah objectives, focusing on the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. However, challenges remain, including low digital literacy, complex sharia regulations, and the risk of platform misuse. Therefore, cross-sector collaboration, the enhancement of digital and Islamic economic literacy, and strengthening the role of sharia e-commerce supervisory bodies are essential to build a fair and sustainable business ecosystem. With these strategic measures, digital technology integration can serve as a key instrument in strengthening the ummah’s economy, promoting financial inclusion, and positioning Indonesia as a global hub for Islamic economics.

Karang Taruna is a youth organization that plays a strategic role in developing the social and economic capacity of rural communities. However, local potential is often underutilized due to limited entrepreneurial knowledge, managerial skills, and access to mentoring. This community service program aimed to assist the Karang Taruna of Kedungturi Village, Taman Subdistrict, Sidoarjo, in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit based on the village’s local resources. The implementation method applied a participatory approach that directly involved youth through several stages: village potential mapping, entrepreneurship training, business mentoring, and facilitation of digital marketing access. The mentoring process provided not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience in developing business ideas that correspond to local resource characteristics. The results of the program indicated an increased understanding among Karang Taruna members regarding entrepreneurship concepts, business management strategies, and the use of digital technology. Furthermore, the program successfully initiated three new business ventures based on local potential, namely traditional culinary products, waste-based handicrafts, and digital services. The establishment of a youth entrepreneurship team under Karang Taruna further strengthened collective commitment to developing the village’s creative economy. The impacts were not limited to improved skills but also included the growing awareness of the importance of local resource–based economic independence. In conclusion, this program demonstrates that participatory mentoring through Karang Taruna can serve as an effective strategy to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit of rural youth while promoting local economic independence and sustainability.
