Rock mining is a key sector contributing to economic development, including in Gorontalo Regency. However, this activity often generates negative environmental impacts such as erosion, water pollution, and ecosystem degradation. This study aims to analyze environmental management policies in rock mining activities using a literature review approach. The research was conducted by examining relevant literature published in the last five years, including national and regional regulations, as well as case study reports. The findings reveal that Indonesia has established a comprehensive regulatory framework through Law No. 32 of 2009 and Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021, which mandate Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) as a key instrument for environmental protection. At the regional level, Gorontalo Provincial Regulation No. 2 of 2019 serves as the main guideline; however, its implementation faces challenges such as weak oversight and inadequate law enforcement. A case study in Motoduto Village shows actual environmental impacts in the form of erosion and sediment load increases in the Paguyaman River, although still within acceptable limits. Additionally, some companies operate without proper AMDAL or legal permits. Therefore, strengthening institutional capacity, digitizing permit data, and engaging communities are essential steps. Policy recommendations include consistent law enforcement, implementation of post-mining reclamation, and integration of spatial data-based policies. This study underscores the importance of a holistic approach to ensure a balance between the economic benefits of the mining sector and environmental conservation.

The buffer zone of BJ. Habibie Grand Forest Park (Tahura) in Bihe Village, Asparaga District, plays a strategic role in balancing environmental conservation and community agricultural activities. However, the widespread practice of monoculture corn farming and land clearing through burning threatens ecosystem sustainability and accelerates environmental degradation. This study aims to analyze farmers’ perceptions of buffer zone management and to identify the challenges and potential for transitioning to sustainable agricultural systems. A descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach was used through field observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The findings indicate that most farmers possess basic awareness of the importance of conservation areas, but there are notable knowledge gaps regarding regulations and environmentally friendly practices. Although some farmers acknowledge the negative impacts of land burning and monoculture, economic limitations, inherited customs, and lack of technological support remain significant obstacles. Nevertheless, respondents expressed a high willingness to change their farming practices if provided with training and incentives. This study recommends a participatory strategy involving government bodies, conservation institutions, and academics to build farmers’ capacity and promote the adoption of sustainable agricultural technologies. A collaborative approach that considers the socio-economic realities of local communities is essential to ensure the long-term sustainability of the BJ. Habibie buffer zone without compromising farmers’ welfare.

This study discusses the accountability of perpetrators of online gambling crimes in Indonesia from the perspective of applicable positive law. Online gambling is a form of cybercrime that has developed along with advances in information and communication technology, and has various negative impacts on society, including economic losses, moral damage, and increasing crime rates. The main focus of this study is to examine how legal regulations in Indonesia, especially in the Criminal Code (KUHP), the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), and other related regulations, regulate and ensnare online gambling perpetrators, both as the main perpetrators, platform providers, and service users. This study uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and a case approach. Data were obtained through literature studies and analysis of relevant court decisions. The results of the study show that although Indonesian positive law has regulated the prohibition of gambling, there are still gaps in norms and challenges in implementation, especially related to evidence, jurisdiction of cross-border perpetrators, and adaptation of law enforcement officers to digital modus operandi. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for synchronization of regulations and increased law enforcement capacity, including the formation of more comprehensive special regulations regarding online gambling crimes. This is important so that the criminal responsibility of the perpetrator can be enforced effectively within the framework of justice and legal certainty.

This article examines teacher empowerment and the professionalism of educators in Indonesia during the Reformasi and post-Reform era, with a comprehensive academic review approach. The Reform era marked a significant change in education governance, particularly in terms of decentralization and autonomy that provided greater space for independent and contextual teacher capacity development. This research highlights various policies implemented to improve the quality of educators, such as teacher certification programs, continuous training, and welfare improvement which are the main focus of the government. However, real challenges still arise related to quality disparities between urban and rural areas and educational infrastructure constraints that affect the effectiveness of teacher empowerment. This article also discusses how teachers' professionalism is not only measured from the technical aspects of teaching, but also from the ability to adapt to new curricula and educational technology developments. Thus, teacher empowerment in the Reformasi era and post-Reformasi is an important foundation in efforts to improve the quality of national education in a sustainable manner. These findings are expected to be a reference for policymakers and education practitioners in formulating more effective and inclusive educator development strategies.

The development of the sharia economy in Indonesia demands the existence of a judicial institution capable of resolving disputes in accordance with Islamic legal principles. The Religious Court, through the amendment of Law Number 3 of 2006, has obtained the authority to handle cases in the field of sharia economics, including Islamic banking disputes. However, the implementation of this authority faces various challenges, both in terms of regulation, dualism of authority with general courts, and institutional readiness, such as human resources and infrastructure. This study employs a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach to analyze the legal basis, court practices, and institutional responses in the exercise of this authority. The results of the study indicate that the Religious Court holds great potential as a pillar for upholding sharia economic law but requires reinforcement in various aspects, including improving judges’ competencies, digitalizing the judicial system, and fostering inter-institutional synergy. Moreover, legal protection for justice seekers highly depends on the effectiveness and professionalism of the judicial institution. Therefore, a sustainable strategy is needed to build the institutional capacity of the Religious Court to respond to the dynamics of the sharia economy in a fair, accountable manner and in line with Islamic legal values in Indonesia.

A standard agreement is a form of standard contract that is drawn up unilaterally by business actors, without providing flexibility for consumers to negotiate the content of the clauses contained therein. This characteristic creates an imbalance in the legal position between business actors and consumers, which in practice is often used to include exculpation clauses or unilateral clauses that are substantively detrimental to consumers. In the context of Indonesian law, this form of contract has become a common practice in various sectors, ranging from financial services to electronic transactions, so the urgency of legal protection for consumers has become increasingly significant. This research aims to analyze and evaluate the form of legal protection for consumers in standard agreements, based on the provisions of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and related legal instruments, including implementing regulations and relevant jurisprudence. The research approach used is normative juridistic, with data collection methods through literature studies, normative analysis of laws and regulations, and an examination of several concrete case studies that illustrate imbalances in the legal relationship between consumers and business actors. The results of the study revealed that although normative legal protection has been regulated quite firmly, especially in the provisions regarding the prohibition of the inclusion of clauses that are detrimental or misleading to consumers, various structural and cultural obstacles are still found in its implementation. These obstacles include weak supervision mechanisms for business actors, limited consumer access to legal understanding, and suboptimal role of consumer dispute resolution institutions. Thus, it is necessary to strengthen regulations through more operational legal instruments, increase the capacity of supervisory institutions, and mainstream consumer legal literacy as a long-term strategy in realizing a fair, effective, and sustainable consumer protection system.

Oil and gas industry activities have the potential to produce high carbon emissions, so Green Open Space (RTH) is needed as an effort to mitigate environmental impacts. Shrub vegetation that grows in RTH areas requires routine maintenance, but this process produces vegetation waste that has not been studied quantitatively. This study aims to analyze the generation of shrub vegetation waste using a sampling method as a basis for sustainable waste management planning. The method used is sampling on a 1 m³ cube-shaped plot in three locations with different vegetation characteristics. Cutting is done manually using simple tools, then the waste produced is put into a measuring box to calculate its volume. The results show that sample point 1 produces 1.00 m³, sample point 2 is 0.50 m³, and sample point 3 is 0.30 m³. The average volume of shrub waste generation is 0.60 m³ per square meter. This data is important for planning the capacity of equipment, labor, and temporary waste disposal locations. In addition, the characteristics of waste that is easy to dry and has a high organic content opens up the potential for reuse as compost or biomass. This method has proven to be effective and efficient in supporting environmentally friendly vegetation waste management strategies as well as part of compliance with environmental regulations such as PROPER.
