Micro-Hydro Power Plant (MHPP) is a renewable energy solution suitable for remote rural areas with river flow availability. This study was carried out in Kampung 17, Batulawang Village, West Java, through the Community Service Program of HMM ITPLN, by designing and implementing a simplified MHPP system. The analysis indicates a hydraulic power potential of 1.511 kW with an effective head of 3.08 m and a discharge of 0.005 m³/s. Of this potential, the maximum utilized power reached 1.108 kW, equivalent to 73.32% of hydraulic energy utilization. The system is capable of producing approximately 26.6 kWh per day or around 798 kWh per month, matching the total demand of 12 households and one mosque in Kampung 17. If this demand were supplied by the national grid (PLN) under the R-1/TR 1300 VA category at Rp1,444.70 per kWh, the monthly cost would amount to approximately Rp1,152,870. Hence, the MHPP enables annual savings of around Rp13.8 million while ensuring local energy independence

This study examines the convergence between classical Islamic philosophy and contemporary digital theory, emphasizing how foundational Islamic concepts can respond to social fragmentation in post-digital Muslim societies. As digital technologies increasingly mediate religious learning, identity formation, and communal interaction, Muslim communities face growing challenges, including the weakening of social bonds and the decentralization of religious authority. Online platforms encourage individualized interpretations of faith and pluralistic expressions of religiosity, which, while expanding participation, often contribute to fragmented identities and diminished communal cohesion.Drawing upon core classical concepts such as ummah (community), akhlaq (ethics), and asabiyya (social solidarity), this research argues that Islamic intellectual heritage offers a normative framework capable of addressing these disruptions. These concepts underscore collective responsibility, moral discipline, and the cultivation of shared values as the foundation of a stable and just society. Using a qualitative approach grounded in textual analysis of classical Islamic scholarship and contemporary digital sociology, the study recontextualizes these principles within present-day digital environments. The findings suggest that adapting traditional values to online engagement can strengthen ethical conduct, mutual accountability, and constructive dialogue in virtual spaces. The notion of a “cyber ummah” further illustrates how transnational digital networks may foster solidarity across geographic and ideological boundaries. Ultimately, this study affirms the continuing relevance of classical Islamic philosophy in guiding the development of an inclusive, morally grounded, and socially cohesive digital society.

This study aims to describe the nature of children from an Islamic educational perspective. This study uses a library research method by examining various relevant literature, including classical texts, the Qur'an, hadiths, and contemporary scientific works that discuss the concept of children in Islam. The results of the study indicate that children, from an Islamic perspective, have a very noble and strategic position, encompassing six main aspects. First, children are seen as a trust from Allah SWT. Second, children are a potential that needs to be developed. Third, children function as the next generation and bearers of the future of the community. Fourth, children have the right to receive a good and proper education. Fifth, children are positioned as subjects who have rights and roles in social life, not just objects of education. Sixth, children are also a source of happiness and well-being for their families and their surroundings. In the context of Islamic education, there are several methods that can be applied to educate children, including the method of role model, reward and punishment, the story method, and the advice method. These four methods play an important role in shaping children's character, faith, and morals in accordance with Islamic values. Understanding the nature of children in Islamic education is the main basis for building a generation that is faithful, has noble morals, and is responsible for themselves, their families, and society.

Air pollution is an increasingly serious environmental issue in major cities, including Serang City. The decline in air quality due to motor vehicle emissions, industrial activities, waste incineration, and the reduction of green open spaces harms public health and the environment. Polluted air can cause respiratory problems, reduce the quality of life, and threaten urban ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the level of knowledge, perceptions, and behaviors of Serang City residents regarding air pollution, as well as assess their support for air pollution control policies. The methods used include a mixed-method approach through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation. The results of the study show that the community has a good understanding of the sources of air pollution, particularly vehicle and industrial emissions. They are also aware of the impact of pollution on health, especially for children and the elderly. However, the implementation of protective behaviors such as wearing masks is not yet consistent. Some positive behaviors have begun to develop, such as not burning trash and planting plants at home. Support for pollution control policies is also high. This study emphasizes the importance of continuous education, law enforcement, and collaboration between the government, society, and environmental communities in efforts to mitigate air pollution in Serang City.

This community service activity aimed to foster financial literacy awareness and develop wise financial behavior from an early age through the “Early Saving Movement” socialization program for fifth-grade students of SDN Antasan Besar 7 Banjarmasin. The activity was conducted face-to-face using an interactive approach that included the delivery of educational materials, group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, simple simulations of money management, and the administration of pre- and post-activity questionnaires to measure changes in students’ knowledge and attitudes. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in students’ motivation to save by 93% and an improvement in their understanding of the benefits of saving by 58%. These findings indicate that direct socialization methods accompanied by active student engagement are effective in enhancing elementary school students’ financial literacy and interest in simple and practical financial management. However, challenges were still found in controlling students’ consumptive behavior, which is influenced by the family environment and daily social interactions. Therefore, follow-up efforts are needed in the form of regular saving habit programs and the involvement of parents and teachers in supervising students’ financial behavior. Overall, this activity had a positive impact on shaping students’ discipline, responsibility, and financial independence from an early age.

This study investigates how Bahasa Medan, a distinctive regional dialect from North Sumatra, is used, transformed, and sustained within the digital environment of TikTok. Drawing on Hymes’ (1972) theory of the speech community and supported by sociolinguistic frameworks from Gumperz (1982), Holmes (2013), Bell (1984), and Bucholtz and Hall (2005), the research explores how Medanese youth employ their dialect across multimodal forms of communication—spoken performances, textual captions, and interactive comment exchanges. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the study examines content from selected TikTok creators who integrate Bahasa Medan into their videos to express humor, identity, and solidarity. The findings reveal that TikTok functions as a digital speech community where dialectal expressions such as palak, sor, beserak, slek, berondok, and merajok serve as linguistic markers of belonging and cultural pride. Furthermore, users exhibit strategic code-switching among Bahasa Medan, standard Indonesian, and English to balance local authenticity with global participation. These interactions demonstrate how linguistic creativity, humor, and social engagement enable regional dialects to thrive in transnational digital spaces. The research ultimately shows that Bahasa Medan on TikTok is not merely a form of entertainment but a dynamic expression of identity, cultural continuity, and community in the era of globalized media.

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a fundamental role in shaping children's character, moral values, and intellectual potential from an early age. However, many PAUD institutions in Indonesia still face serious challenges in management, where attention is focused more on operational sustainability than on improving educational quality. This study aims to describe the actual condition of PAUD institutions, analyze the causes of weak management, and identify the impact of operational orientation on educational quality. The method used is a literature study through analysis of various sources such as books, scientific journals, research reports, and government policies related to PAUD implementation. The results of the study indicate that weak management is caused by limited human resources, low managerial competence, minimal funding, weak planning, and a lack of supervision and community support. The impact is seen in the decline in educational quality and low public trust in PAUD institutions. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen quality-based management that emphasizes improving educator competence, community involvement, effective management of infrastructure, utilization of educational technology, and implementation of continuous evaluation. Professional and adaptive PAUD management is key to realizing superior, high-quality institutions that are relevant to the developmental needs of early childhood in the modern era.

Digital transformation in public service is an inevitable necessity in the era of modern governance. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Smart Civil Registration System (Smart System Dukcapil) in digital administrative services in Palangka Raya City as part of the national e-government initiative and the strengthening of electronic-based governance. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis of relevant regulations and the implementation of the system within the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) of Palangka Raya City. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Smart System Dukcapil through applications such as the Sistem Informasi Dukcapil Oloh Itah (SI-DOI) and Digital Population Identity (IKD) has significantly improved efficiency, transparency, and data accuracy in population administration services. These digital innovations have streamlined bureaucratic processes, minimized physical interaction, and enhanced public satisfaction with administrative services. However, the system’s effectiveness is still constrained by challenges such as limited internet infrastructure in peripheral areas, low digital literacy among citizens, and inadequate technical capacity among civil servants in operating digital systems optimally. Theoretically, the implementation of the Smart System Dukcapil reflects the realization of good governance and smart governance principles through the integration of technology, bureaucratic reform, and community participation. This study recommends strengthening human resource capacity, expanding digital infrastructure, and promoting continuous public education to ensure system sustainability. Consequently, digital population administration in Palangka Raya has the potential to become an innovative, inclusive, and adaptive model for regional public service governance.

The increasing snack consumption trend in Indonesia, along with the availability of processed snacks that are high in sugar, fat, and sodium but low in fiber, poses a significant challenge to digestive health. More than 40% of the global population experiences digestive disorders, often related to unhealthy eating patterns and low fiber intake. In response to this issue, an innovative healthy snack called TaroStik, made from taro vines (Colocasia esculenta) rich in fiber and nutrients, has been developed. This product comes in two forms, sticks and chips, with three flavor variants (salty, sweet, and spicy), offering a healthy snacking experience without sacrificing taste. Training on utilizing taro vines to create TaroStik was conducted in Banjarbaru, involving prospective entrepreneurs with a combined approach of theory, hands-on practice, and group discussions. Participants were trained from material selection, processing (peeling, soaking, steaming, frying), packaging, to social media marketing simulation. As a result, most participants were able to independently produce TaroStik, with some expressing intentions to continue production at a home scale. TaroStik not only provides a digestive health solution through natural snacks free of preservatives but also brings positive impacts in three areas: economy (creating business opportunities based on local ingredients), environment (reducing agricultural waste), and nutrition (increasing healthy food consumption). This innovation embodies the principles of green economy and sustainable entrepreneurship, opening new business opportunities and improving community welfare.

Parenting communication literacy is a fundamental competence that influences children’s growth in cognitive, emotional, and social domains. Initial findings at Posyandu Teratai, South Tangerang, revealed that many mothers still relied on authoritarian and less dialogical communication, which limited children’s confidence and engagement. In response, the Community Service (PKM) team of Universitas Pamulang implemented a program entitled Optimizing Parenting Communication Literacy through Digital Media. The activities were designed using participatory strategies such as lectures, interactive group discussions, simulation exercises, and the dissemination of digital learning materials in the form of modules and videos. The program outcomes demonstrated considerable improvement in mothers’ knowledge and attitudes toward positive communication practices, including the ability to listen actively, provide encouragement, and employ digital platforms as continuous learning resources. Furthermore, the integration of digital tools enabled mothers to access and exchange information beyond formal training sessions. The broader impact of the program was the establishment of a collaborative learning community at Posyandu, which not only supported families in applying positive parenting approaches but also reinforced community-level awareness of effective communication in child-rearing.

This community service program aims to enhance the English communication skills of strawberry farmers in Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, as an effort to strengthen tourism competitiveness through agrotourism. The activity was carried out through practical English training using a participatory and context-based approach that reflects the farmers’ real communication needs. The training consisted of two main stages: a classroom session employing the role-play method and a field practice session held directly at the strawberry farm with the involvement of local tourists and student assistants. The training materials covered daily expressions commonly used in interactions with visitors, including greetings, product explanation, offering activities, and basic transaction language. The primary learning media were a bilingual communication booklet and situational training modules, both developed from the results of a prior needs analysis. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the participants’ English communication abilities. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, the average improvement reached 43%, particularly in speaking confidence, vocabulary mastery, and fluency. Participants also demonstrated increased enthusiasm and professionalism when interacting with tourists in English. This program proves that practical and role-play–based training is effective in developing both linguistic competence and communicative confidence among local farmers. It also strengthens their role as tourism actors who contribute to the sustainable development of the Pancasari agrotourism area.
