Berambang Hamlet, located in Batu Putih Village, Sekotong Subdistrict, possesses abundant agricultural potential in the form of bananas. However, their utilization remains limited to simple processing, such as fried bananas, which offer low economic value. The housewives in this hamlet express a strong desire to develop more diverse and economically valuable banana-based products, but they face challenges due to limited skills in production, packaging, and marketing. This community service initiative aims to enhance the economic capacity of housewives through technical training in banana processing, product packaging, and effective marketing strategies. The methods applied include participatory observation, focused group discussions, hands-on practical training, and ongoing mentoring. The results of this activity indicate a significant improvement in participants' skills, particularly in processing bananas into products such as flavored banana chips. Additionally, participants are now able to design attractive packaging and market their products both locally and through digital platforms. This initiative has also succeeded in fostering new awareness of household economic potential and has encouraged entrepreneurial spirit within the community. Thus, the program not only provides short-term benefits in the form of increased skills but also creates sustainable economic opportunities for the residents of Berambang Hamlet. This capacity-building effort is expected to serve as a starting point for the development of micro-enterprises based on local potential, thereby contributing to improved family welfare and strengthening the village economy.

Pedada leaves (Sonneratia caseolaris), a type of mangrove plant that grows in tropical and subtropical coastal areas, have high ecological and pharmacological value. In addition to functioning as coastal protection from abrasion and seawater intrusion, this plant is also known to contain various secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids. These compounds have been widely reported to have important biological activities, one of which is as an antimicrobial agent. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of pedada leaf ethanol extract in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, especially bacteria that cause infections. The extraction process was carried out using 96% ethanol solvent through the maceration method, namely soaking the material in the solvent for a certain time to optimally obtain active compounds. The obtained extract was then tested for its antimicrobial activity using the disc diffusion method against test bacteria, both Gram-positive and Gram-negative. The inhibition zone formed around the disc was measured as an indicator of the antibacterial effectiveness of the extract. The results showed that pedada leaf extract was able to produce inhibition zones with varying diameters depending on the concentration used. The higher the extract concentration, the larger the diameter of the inhibition zone formed. This indicates a positive relationship between extract concentration and its antibacterial strength. This activity is believed to originate from the ability of compounds such as flavonoids and tannins to damage bacterial cell walls or disrupt microbial metabolic processes. This study provides initial evidence that pedada leaves have potential as an environmentally friendly and sustainable source of natural antibacterials. This potential is highly relevant in efforts to develop alternative antibacterial materials based on local plants, especially amidst increasing bacterial resistance to synthetic antibiotics.

Cell-based therapy is an innovative approach currently experiencing rapid development in the biomedical field, particularly in the areas of immunotherapy and gene therapy. This approach utilizes living cells, such as genetically modified T cells, to recognize and destroy abnormal cells such as cancer cells or cells with genetic mutations. The development of gene engineering technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9, has enabled scientists to precisely edit damaged genes, thereby repairing or restoring normal cell function. This study aims to examine recent advances in cell-based therapy, focusing on cell modification techniques, the efficiency of the immune system in targeting cancer cells, and the integration of gene therapy technology and immune cells. Furthermore, this study also identifies several challenges that remain, including the risk of side effects due to undesirable immune reactions, the genetic stability of the modified cells, and the long-term sustainability or viability of transplanted cells. While these challenges remain serious concerns, several clinical studies have shown that cell-based therapy has significant potential in the treatment of difficult-to-treat diseases, such as advanced cancer and rare genetic disorders. The results of this study demonstrate that cell-based therapy not only offers a new approach to treatment but also opens the door to more personalized and precise therapies. However, for broader implementation in clinical practice, further, in-depth research is needed regarding safety, long-term efficacy, and strict regulation. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of more effective and safe future therapies.

Pemantauan suhu dan kelembaban secara real-time merupakan kebutuhan penting dalam berbagai bidang, seperti kesehatan, pertanian, industri, dan pengelolaan lingkungan, guna menjaga stabilitas kondisi ruangan dan mencegah kerusakan pada peralatan elektronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem monitoring suhu dan kelembaban berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32 dengan sensor DHT22. Sistem dirancang untuk menampilkan data secara langsung melalui layar OLED dan aplikasi Blynk sehingga memungkinkan pemantauan jarak jauh secara real-time. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pengujian pada dua skenario, yaitu ruang tertutup dan area terbuka, dengan titik kendali kelembaban relatif (RH) sebesar 65%. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu bekerja secara efektif dalam kondisi ruang tertutup, di mana kelembaban meningkat dari 54,5% menjadi 65% RH dalam waktu 10 menit dan kemudian dapat dipertahankan stabil melalui mekanisme kendali otomatis. Namun, pada area terbuka, sistem tidak menunjukkan peningkatan kelembaban yang signifikan karena adanya sirkulasi udara bebas yang mempercepat dispersi uap air. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem monitoring berbasis ESP32 ini efektif digunakan pada ruang dengan kondisi lingkungan yang terkontrol, serta memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut pada aplikasi rumah pintar (smart home) dan sistem industri berbasis Internet of Things (IoT).

The Community Service Program (KKN) is an intracurricular activity that is mandatory for students as a form of community service. In this context, the KKN group R1 of Janabadra University Yogyakarta conducted a service activity in Banyurejo Village, Yogyakarta City, for six weeks. This activity carried the main theme of community empowerment in environmental management, with a primary focus on increasing awareness of the economic potential of waste through the implementation of an Environmental Workshop with the theme "Waste as Economic Potential: Creating an Independent and Clean Village." This workshop was the core agenda that involved the active participation of residents in discussing and practicing waste management that was wise, economically valuable, and environmentally friendly. To support this main activity, several supporting programs were also implemented, including: Ceria Class as a medium for environmental education for children, the establishment of a Waste Bank, joint exercise activities with residents, village clean-up actions, synergy with the PKK women's group, and educational seminars on the environment and health. All activities were designed with a community-based educational and participatory approach, to encourage direct community involvement in creating change. During the implementation period, this program showed positive results. There was an increase in public awareness of the importance of structured and sustainable waste management. Furthermore, residents have begun to demonstrate their initiative by establishing neighborhood-level waste banks, demonstrating their commitment to community-based waste management. Participation from various community elements, including children, housewives, and community leaders, is key to the success of this initiative. The success of the Janabadra University Community Service Program (KKN) group R1 is expected to serve as a model for other regions in designing and implementing community empowerment programs, particularly in the environmental sector.

Human skin undergoes aging and degenerative processes, like other body tissues. Skin aging is characterized by various structural and functional changes, such as decreased skin elasticity, degradation of elastic fibers, thinning of the epidermis, reduced collagen content, the appearance of wrinkles, and increased skin dryness. One effort to inhibit this process is the use of natural phytochemical compounds with antioxidant and skin-protective activity, such as ferulic acid. Ferulic acid is known to scavenge free radicals and absorb ultraviolet (UV) light. Furthermore, this compound can protect the structure of collagen, elastin, and fibroblast cells from damage, and inhibit the enzymes collagenase and tyrosinase, which play a role in collagen degradation and the formation of hyperpigmentation. This literature review aims to examine the anti-aging activity of ferulic acid based on the results of in vitro and in vivo studies published in the past ten years. The search was conducted through a systematic literature review of relevant scientific articles. The results indicate that ferulic acid has a promising mechanism of action in preventing and slowing skin aging. This compound can improve skin elasticity, suppress melanin production, reduce dark spots, and exhibit anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness and inflammation caused by acne. Its antioxidant effects also contribute to slowing the appearance of wrinkles, thus helping maintain a more youthful appearance. Despite its significant potential, further research is needed to better understand its mechanism of action and long-term safety for use on human skin.

The Batanghari River is a vital water source in Jambi Province, used by the community for various purposes, including domestic, agricultural, and fisheries needs. However, with increasing human activities, such as the discharge of household waste, industrial waste, and agricultural waste, the river's water quality is at risk of microbiological contamination that can endanger public health and the environment. This study aims to identify the presence of bacteria in the Batanghari River water, in order to assess the potential for biological contamination that can negatively impact public health and the surrounding ecosystem. The method used in this study included taking water samples from several locations along the river. After sampling, bacterial isolation and identification were carried out using Nutrient Agar (NA) media using the pour method. The results of the isolation process showed the growth of bacterial colonies that varied in shape, size, and color, indicating microbiological contamination, especially by heterotrophic bacteria. These findings indicate that the Batanghari River water contains microorganisms that reflect the potential for microbiological contamination. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of regular water quality monitoring and the need for sustainable management measures to maintain the health of the ecosystem and surrounding community. With routine monitoring, it is hoped that potential contamination that could be harmful to health can be detected early. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to form the basis for better policy-making in water resource management and increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining water quality for sustainable life and environmental health. This study provides a preliminary overview of the microbiological condition of the Batanghari River water and emphasizes the need for greater attention in water resource management to prevent negative impacts on health and the environment.

Peningkatan transaksi dalam platform e-commerce seperti Shopee menuntut adanya sistem prediksi status pesanan yang akurat, guna mengoptimalkan pelayanan dan mengurangi pembatalan maupun keterlambatan pengiriman. Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun model klasifikasi status pesanan (selesai atau batal) pada toko Stuftech.Id menggunakan algoritma C4.5. Data yang digunakan merupakan transaksi pesanan mencakup metode pembayaran, kategori wilayah pengiriman, dan ongkos kirim. Proses klasifikasi dilakukan menggunakan RapidMiner dengan tahapan preprocessing, pembangunan decision tree, dan evaluasi model. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa atribut “Kategori Pulau” memiliki nilai gain tertinggi sehingga dipilih sebagai node akar. Model yang dibentuk menghasilkan akurasi sebesar 86%, dengan recall 100% untuk pesanan selesai namun hanya 6,67% untuk pesanan batal. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa algoritma C4.5 efektif dalam memprediksi pesanan yang berhasil, namun perlu peningkatan dalam mendeteksi potensi pembatalan. Implementasi model ini dapat membantu pelaku usaha dalam mengambil keputusan operasional secara proaktif.

The increasing need for electrical energy in Indonesia encourages the development of new renewable energy (EBT), including hydroelectric power plants (PLTA) as an environmentally friendly solution. This research was conducted at the Mentawa Dam, West Toili District, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, to analyze the potential of water energy that can be utilized as a source of micro-hydro power plants (PLTMH). This dam currently functions as irrigation and a tourist attraction, but has significant potential to generate sustainable electrical energy. The research methods include measuring water discharge using the float method, measuring the height of the water fall (head) with an altimeter and GPS, and analyzing the potential for electrical power using the formula P = η ⋅ ρ ⋅ g ⋅ Q ⋅ H. The measurement results show an average water discharge of 3.01 m³ / s and a water fall (head) of 6.56 meters. With a turbine efficiency of 80%, the potential electrical power that can be generated reaches 154.76 kW. This study recommends the use of Kaplan turbines in Mentawa Dam, which are ideal for large discharge conditions and low to medium heads, and can adapt to discharge fluctuations, making it an optimal choice to maximize energy potential. This research is expected to provide sustainable energy solutions for the people of Toili Barat District and support the development of the tourism sector.

This study aims to analyze the influence of billboard tax realization, potential, and effectiveness on the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) of Boyolali Regency during the 2020–2024 period. The research adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data, with a total of 20 observations. The dependent variable in this study is PAD, while the independent variables include billboard tax realization, potential, and effectiveness. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that the realization of billboard tax has a significant impact on PAD, while the effectiveness of billboard tax collection does not show a significant effect. This is evidenced by the t-test significance values, where the realization and potential variables have a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05), while the effectiveness variable has a significance level of 0.408 (> 0.05). These results suggest that higher levels of tax realization and potential contribute positively to PAD. However, the effectiveness of tax collection alone does not necessarily lead to an increase in PAD, indicating a need for local government evaluation in optimizing tax collection efforts. This study examines the potential of Nusa Lembongan Ecotourism in developing sustainable tourism with an environmental perspective. The formulation of the problem studied in this research is “(1) What potential does Nusa Lembongan Ecotourism have in developing environmentally friendly sustainable tourism (2) How does Nusa Lembongan Ecotourism relate to environmentally sustainable tourism”. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach to understand the phenomena experienced by the research subject. Data collection techniques include literature study and documentation. The findings show 1) The potential of Nusa Lembongan as one of the ecotourism-based tourist attractions offers a lot of amazing natural beauty that attracts the attention of tourists to visit and unwind by the hustle and bustle of the city air, not only local tourists but also many foreign tourists visit Nusa Lembongan because of the potential offered 2) Sustainable development is a strategy that limits the utilization of ecosystems and natural resources so that they are maintained. One of the new tourist destinations that is increasingly popular is the beauty of Nusa Lembongan Island.

Abstrak. Osteoporosis is a degenerative bone disease characterized by a decrease in bone mass and strength, particularly in postmenopausal women. Traditional plant-based therapy presents an attractive alternative given the rich local bioactive potential and limited access to pharmacological treatments. One important biochemical indicator in bone regeneration is the level of alkaline phosphatase (ALP). The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential of various Indonesian traditional medicinal plants as bioactive agents in the prevention of osteoporosis, with an emphasis on increasing ALP levels. This method employed a literature search by collecting several scientific articles discussing the anti-osteoporosis activity of traditional medicinal plants through in vitro, in vivo, and clinical observation studies. The results obtained show that traditional medicinal plants such as Turmeric (Curcuma longa), Black pepper (Piper nigrum), Bromelain (Ananas comosus), Papaya (Carica papaya), Japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica Houtt.), Veratrum nigrum, Sickle senna (Cassia tora), Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum L.), White turmeric (Curcuma zeadoaria), and Celery (Apium graveolens) are capable of reducing the number of osteoclasts and promoting bone formation. These findings consistently demonstrate a positive role in bone health through increased ALP levels. Indonesian traditional medicinal plants hold great potential as evidence-based anti-osteoporosis agents, particularly through enhancing ALP levels and osteoblast activity. This literature review supports the development of local herbal therapy as a promotive and preventive alternative against osteoporosis.

This community service activity aims to develop students’ visual art skills and strengthen the institutional image of Universitas Potensi Utama through the creation of a mural on the university campus. The mural was chosen as a medium due to its ability to convey educational messages, build visual identity, and enhance public spaces effectively. Involving lecturers and students from the Visual Communication Design program, the project was carried out in several stages: concept planning, sketching, coloring, and finishing. The final result is a 2.5 x 31-meter mural that illustrates the spirit of education, cultural diversity, and innovation. The outcomes of this activity include improved technical and collaborative skills among students, enhanced campus visual identity, and increased appreciation for murals as a medium of visual communication. Thus, this initiative not only contributes to the campus aesthetics but also serves as an effective institutional promotion strategy through participatory art.

Produksi padi di Indonesia, termasuk Kabupaten Sidoarjo, menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti alih fungsi lahan, perubahan iklim, dan keterbatasan infrastruktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan potensi produksi padi secara spasial di Kabupaten Sidoarjo dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis spasial untuk menggambarkan sebaran luas baku sawah, tanam, panen, irigasi, dan produktivitas di tingkat kecamatan, serta analisis deskriptif untuk menafsirkan hasil pemetaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wilayah dengan sistem irigasi teknis dan luas baku sawah yang masih terjaga, seperti Kecamatan Tarik, Sukodono, dan Wonoayu, memiliki produktivitas yang relatif tinggi. Pemetaan spasial berbasis SIG terbukti efektif dalam mengidentifikasi wilayah potensial yang mendukung pengelolaan produksi padi secara lebih terarah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pemanfaatan SIG sebagai alat strategis dalam perencanaan pertanian dan pengambilan kebijakan yang berbasis data spasial untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di Kabupaten Sidoarjo.

The potention of a village can be seen in the form of a map when the map comes with a description of the land resources and human resources as the backbone of the rural economy. Land resources can be reflected in the distribution of land use in the village, while the human resources can be illustrated by the small industries or existing SMEs. Map existing describes village areas and sometimes the picture were draw by a person who know the areas. Village map usually contains location or the location of the village facilities, roads, rivers and boundaries hamlet/ RW or village limits. Moreover village map always displays information surrounding neighboring villages. Deficiencies that exist in a map of the village is likely to occur because of the knowledge map-making has not been fully understood by the individual who made the map. It could provide wrong and not information accurate for people whose using the village map. Purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge about the knowledge map to participants. While the purpose of the activities of Community Services were to provide knowledge about the map and the identification of potential rural village in the manufacture of Potential Map. The implementation of the Community Services with interactive discussions by Focus Group Discussion. FGDs were conducted as a way to confirm the village boundaries, facilities and potential village. Community Services activities result were that participants have understood the potential of the village and the knowledge base map. In addition it has arranged a map of Potential Rural Dusun Pisangan, Kelurahan Sumberejo, Kecamatan Tempel, Kabupaten Sleman. The map has been handed over to the village and their representatives - each elementary school in the two villages.

The 2025 Thematic Community Service Program (KKN-T) of Group R2 from Janabadra University Yogyakarta was carried out in Kemusuh Hamlet, Banyurejo Village, Tempel Sub-district, Sleman Regency. The main objective of this program was to develop the potential and enhance the capabilities of the local community in managing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in response to the economic impacts of the ongoing construction of the Yogyakarta–Bawen toll road near the area. Through a participatory approach and methods such as field observation, needs analysis, and solution implementation, the students aimed to empower the community to adapt to future economic changes. Key programs included training in financial management, digital wallet creation, product and packaging design, and the use of Google Maps for business promotion. The results showed improvements in awareness, skills, and readiness of the community to manage their businesses independently and remain competitive in the digital era.

Digital technology opens up great opportunities in the business world, especially online businesses. These opportunities are wide open to many people of various ages and backgrounds, especially young people, considering that their generation has the spirit to try various things, including starting a business. This community service activity aims to provide practical training to vocational high school students on how to start an online business. For two days, they were given an understanding of entrepreneurship, determining potential products, creating accounts on e-commerce, marketing strategies, simulations, and evaluations. This activity is expected to develop economic potential and independence from an early age, and be able to instill an entrepreneurial mindset that is adaptive to the development of the times.

Kebakaran masih menjadi masalah serius dengan dampak besar, baik secara materi maupun korban jiwa. Deteksi yang lambat dan alarm konvensional yang tidak responsif menjadi penyebab utama tingginya tingkat kerusakan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan sistem deteksi kebakaran berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mengintegrasikan multi-sensor dengan platform IFTTT (If This, Then That). Sistem ini menggabungkan sensor asap (MQ5, MQ9), suhu (DHT22), dan api, dengan NodeMCU ESP8266 sebagai pusat kendali, serta mengirim notifikasi real-time melalui WhatsApp. Tujuannya adalah meningkatkan akurasi deteksi dan mengurangi alarm palsu. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan sistem konvensional dan sistem IoT pada berbagai skenario kebakaran. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem IoT memiliki keunggulan dalam kecepatan notifikasi (kurang dari 10 detik) dan kemampuan menyampaikan lokasi secara akurat. Meskipun memerlukan biaya awal lebih tinggi, efektivitas sistem ini dalam meningkatkan respons darurat menjadikannya solusi yang layak. Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah meningkatkan kebutuhan akan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten di bidang analitik data dan pemrograman, khususnya bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Sistem Informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun model klasifikasi guna mengidentifikasi kecenderungan mahasiswa sebagai Data Analyst atau Programmer menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes. Sebanyak 220 data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring, dengan indikator penilaian yang dikelompokkan dalam dua dimensi: kemampuan analis data dan kemampuan pemrograman. Data kemudian dilabeli berdasarkan skor per dimensi dan diolah menggunakan model Complement Naive Bayes pada platform Google Colab. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa model mampu mengklasifikasikan dua kelas mayoritas (Data Analyst dan Programmer) dengan baik, ditandai dengan akurasi keseluruhan sebesar 80,30% dan nilai precision, recall, serta f1-score yang tinggi. Namun, performa model terhadap kelas minoritas (Netral) masih rendah akibat ketidakseimbangan distribusi data. Penelitian ini menyarankan penggunaan teknik lanjutan seperti resampling, class weight, atau model ensemble untuk mengatasi bias terhadap kelas mayoritas. Temuan ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar dalam pembimbingan akademik dan pengembangan kurikulum berbasis potensi mahasiswa.

Tingkat keberhasilan deteksi penyakit jantung sangat bergantung pada akurasi model klasifikasi yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan kinerja dua algoritma klasifikasi, yaitu K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) dan Support Vector Machine (SVM), dalam mendeteksi penyakit jantung menggunakan dataset berjumlah 1025 sampel dengan dua kelas target, yakni sehat dan penyakit jantung. Proses pra-pemrosesan data meliputi pembersihan dan normalisasi fitur medis seperti usia, tekanan darah, serta kadar kolesterol. Evaluasi performa model dilakukan menggunakan metode Confusion Matrix, K-Fold Cross Validation, kurva Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC), dan kurva Precision-Recall untuk mengukur akurasi, presisi, recall, serta keseimbangan antara presisi dan recall. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma KNN unggul dalam menghasilkan akurasi tinggi yaitu 99% dengan AUC ROC sempurna 1.00 dan presisi yang hampir konsisten sepanjang recall, sementara SVM menunjukkan performa stabil dengan akurasi 91%, AUC ROC 0.97, dan AP Precision-Recall sebesar 0.96. Penelitian ini menegaskan efektivitas KNN dalam menghasilkan prediksi penyakit jantung yang sangat akurat dengan potensi risiko overfitting pada parameter k kecil, sedangkan SVM memberikan kestabilan model dengan kemampuan generalisasi yang lebih baik. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pemilihan algoritma klasifikasi yang sesuai untuk mendukung diagnosis penyakit jantung secara klinis.
