Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Teknik 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Teknik Indonesia

Student selection for the National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN), particularly in the karate category, is still largely conducted manually, which may lead to subjectivity and inconsistency in the assessment process. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) to assist schools in selecting the best students for the O2SN karate competition by applying the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method at SMA Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi. The system was developed using the waterfall model, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. The student evaluation process is based on criteria referring to the official O2SN karate standards, including stance accuracy, techniques, movement transitions, timing and harmony, breathing control, focus (kime), conformity (consistency with ryu-ha/style), strength, speed, and balance. The developed system processes assessment data to generate preference values and student rankings, which are separated by male and female categories. The results indicate that the application of the TOPSIS method is able to support more objective decision-making and improve transparency and efficiency in the O2SN student selection process within the school environment.

This qualitative study, using a phenomenological approach, aims to uncover, study, and deeply understand students' perspectives regarding the curriculum transformation for 21st-century learning they experience in elementary schools. The phenomenological approach was used to explore students' direct experiences as the primary subjects in the learning process, thus gaining a comprehensive understanding of the meaning of curriculum change from their perspectives. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with upper-grade students in elementary schools in Jambi City. The results indicate that the curriculum transformation has a significant impact on students' learning styles, particularly through the implementation of project-based learning that integrates the use of digital technology. This learning model encourages students to be more active, creative, and collaborative in completing learning tasks. Furthermore, student-centered learning makes them the primary actors in the learning process, while teachers act as facilitators. This curriculum transformation also helps develop 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy in elementary school students.

Poetry is known as a form of written art that is rich in meaning and symbolism. One collection of poems that is interesting to study in terms of meaning is the collection of poems by Wita Nfa entitled “Metamorphosis.” This analysis uses three poems, namely Bertandang, Fall, and Rona. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with several in-depth explorations, notes, and grouping of meaning elements. This study focuses on the type of meaning of each word, whether it is lexical or grammatical, and will also analyze the meaning of each word. The results of this study produced 65 words, including lexical and 46 grammatical words. This study also reveals the implied meanings that the author attempts to convey because Wita Nfa's poetry has a unique and implied style of language. Therefore, this study was conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the messages that the poet wants to convey and to explain how language and symbols in poetry can influence the feelings and thoughts of readers. We hope that the results of this study will help readers better understand the meaning in poetic literary works.

This study aims to examine the implementation of bureaucratic reform at the Immigration Document Section of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, focusing on digital transformation through the M-Paspor application to realise a dynamic immigration management system. The research employed qualitative analysis to evaluate service efficiency, transparency, accountability, and staff capacity in the context of digital innovation aligned with Dynamic Governance principles. The findings reveal that digitalisation has significantly enhanced service efficiency through automated procedures, reduced physical queues, and improved transparency, whilst facilitating a shift from manual tasks to core verification and problem-solving activities, though challenges persist regarding human resources capacity and organisational culture, as staff exhibit rule-bound mindsets and defensive communication styles when addressing service delays, thereby undermining public trust and satisfaction. The study concludes that technology alone is insufficient to achieve truly responsive and citizen-centric services, as institutional culture and personnel mindset require continuous strengthening through soft skills training, ethical enforcement, and cultivation of service-oriented, empathetic work culture. Holistic reform approaches that combine technological innovation with human resource development and cultural change are essential for building effective, adaptive, and transparent immigration management systems. The integration of digital systems complemented by professional human resources can foster seamless, efficient, and trustworthy immigration services aligned with good governance principles, whilst sustainable improvements depend on balancing technological advances with organisational culture development and staff professionalism.

This papper reviews a range of studies that examine the influence of cultural and religious differences on the effectiveness of the counselor–client relationship. The main focus is on how cultural identity and religious beliefs shape the way individuals understand problems, interpret personal experiences, and respond to the counseling process. The literature shows that differences in values, communication styles, and spiritual orientations can affect the quality of the relationship, especially during the stages of building trust and setting counseling goals. At the same time, counselors who possess multicultural competence and sensitivity toward religious diversity are better able to adapt their approaches so clients feel respected and emotionally secure. This review also highlights the importance of counselor self-reflection to avoid personal bias in sessions, particularly when working with clients from backgrounds that differ greatly from their own. By examining various academic sources, this article argues that an effective counseling relationship depends not only on technique but also on the counselor’s ability to understand the client’s life context. The findings of this literature review contribute to the development of more inclusive and culturally responsive counseling practices.

This study evaluated the effectiveness of the JKN Mobile interface using Nielsen’s Usability Heuristic Principles to identify issues that affect clarity, consistency, and user navigation. The research applied a descriptive qualitative approach through interface observation and visual analysis, focusing on typography, layout, color usage, iconography, and feedback mechanisms. The findings showed that several essential elements of system status were not clearly presented, such as loading indicators, data update information, and synchronization cues. Inconsistencies in icon style, visual hierarchy, and button functions further reduced predictability and increased the cognitive load on users. Some screens also displayed incomplete content and unclear action mapping, which disrupted task flow. The study concludes that improving visual hierarchy, standardizing interface components, refining navigation paths, and providing clearer feedback can strengthen usability and support the application’s role as an accessible digital public service.

This study focuses on the dynamic relationship between transformational leadership and work motivation, and how both elements contribute to increased productivity in modern organizational environments. By employing a literature review approach, this study synthesizes existing research to explore the powerful impact of transformational leadership in fostering heightened work motivation among employees. The research highlights that transformational leadership acts as a catalyst, significantly enhancing employees' intrinsic motivation, which in turn serves as a mediating factor in boosting individual productivity. The study identifies two key dimensions of transformational leadership that contribute most significantly to motivation: the leader's ability to provide inspirational encouragement and their attention to the unique needs of each employee. These aspects are crucial in fostering an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to perform at their best. The positive effects of this leadership style are evident in improved work quality, increased accuracy in task completion, and a stronger sense of responsibility among employees. Ultimately, this study confirms that a leader who is adaptive, communicative, and inspiring is essential in building superior, consistent, and sustainable performance within an evolving organizational structure. The findings underscore the critical role of leadership in cultivating motivation and driving long-term productivity in organizations.

Children's socio-emotional development is an important aspect that plays a role in their ability to recognize, understand, express, and regulate emotions, as well as interact adaptively in social environments. The family serves as the first environment that provides the foundation for this development through parenting patterns, emotional relationships, daily interactions, and parental behavior models. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing scientific articles published between 2020–2025 from the Scopus, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases. The results of the review indicate that parental responsiveness, observational learning, secure attachment, and emotional communication significantly influence children's emotion regulation and social skills. In addition, parenting styles, particularly the authoritative style, have been shown to have a positive impact on psychological well-being, self-control, and social competence, while authoritarian, permissive, and neglectful styles are associated with behavioral problems and low self-esteem. Overall, the quality of the family environment and patterns of emotional communication play a significant role in shaping children's socio-emotional development. These findings underscore the need for support and reinforcement of parenting practices in efforts to enhance children's emotional and social well-being.

This study aims to examine learning typologies in Arabic language instruction and analyze how differences in learning styles influence the effectiveness of the learning process. The study focuses on identifying the characteristics of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning types and how these variations can serve as the basis for designing more adaptive and meaningful Arabic teaching strategies. The method employed is a literature review, involving the examination of books, journal articles, previous research findings, and other relevant scientific documents. The analysis was conducted through the collection of references, in-depth review, critical evaluation, categorization of findings, and theoretical synthesis, resulting in a comprehensive description of learning typologies within the context of Arabic language learning. The findings indicate that Arabic language learning is influenced not only by variations in learning typologies but also by fundamental conceptual foundations of learning, which include philosophical, psychological, sociological, and communicative aspects. Learning typologies visual, auditory, and kinesthetic play a significant role in determining how learners understand and respond to Arabic material. Furthermore, learning success is strongly shaped by the application of active learning principles and the learners' cognitive processes. The cognitive domain, which refers to mental abilities to think, establish associations, understand, and analyze knowledge, becomes a crucial element in optimizing language comprehension. These findings affirm that Arabic language learning will be more effective when teachers are able to integrate fundamental learning concepts and adapt teaching strategies to learners' typologies and cognitive abilities.

State speeches in international forums are a strategic arena for the practice of diplomacy and leadership image management. This study analyzes President Prabowo Subianto's rhetorical style in his speech at the 80th UN General Assembly on September 23, 2025. Using Aristotelian theory, namely ethos, pathos, and logos, to understand how rhetoric functions in strengthening political legitimacy, humanitarian solidarity, and international policy arguments. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study examines transcripts of official speeches and identifies quotations that represent each persuasive mode. The analysis shows that Prabowo builds ethos through historical references, concrete actions of Indonesia such as the contribution of peacekeeping troops, and pathos is depicted through narratives of suffering, calls for solidarity, and an emphasis on the future of the younger generation; while logos is demonstrated through the presentation of data, policy plans such as the net-zero target, technical solutions such as sea walls, and systematic cause-and-effect arguments. This combination of ethos, pathos, and logos confirms that the speech was not simply a policy statement but also a rhetorical diplomatic tool that strengthened Indonesia's image as a constructive global actor. These findings contribute to the study of leadership communication and diplomatic rhetoric, particularly in the context of developing countries seeking to enhance the role of multilateralism and soft power.
