This study analyzes the effectiveness of digital educational games, particularly the “Who Am I?” game on the Wordwall platform, in enhancing students’ knowledge of Indonesian language learning. The research is motivated by the need for junior high school teachers to design engaging learning methods that can foster enthusiasm among adolescents. Educational games are viewed as innovative media that present concepts in a simple yet enjoyable way, making lessons more interactive and accessible. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the study involved 30 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 38 Surabaya. Data collection included pre-tests and post-tests to quantitatively measure learning outcomes, as well as questionnaires to capture student responses. Findings indicate a notable improvement in student achievement after the application of the “Who Am I?” game. The average pre-test score was 71.33, which rose to 91.00 on the post-test, showing an increase of 19.67 points. Results of a paired t-test confirmed that the difference was statistically significant, demonstrating that the improvement was due to the intervention. Additionally, questionnaire results showed that students felt more motivated, engaged, and able to understand the material more effectively through this game. Overall, the “Who Am I?” game on Wordwall proved to be an effective learning tool, and its use is recommended for teachers seeking to implement game-based strategies in classroom instruction.

This study was motivated by the high number of stunted children found in stunting locations, namely in Kelurahan Kahean and Sigulang-gulang, Kecamatan Siantar Utara, Kota Pematangsiantar. This study also found indications of inadequate parenting patterns in terms of nutrition and child health care. This condition is a serious concern because stunting not only affects children's physical growth but also influences their cognitive development and future quality of life. To understand this phenomenon in depth, this study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, literature studies, and documentation, involving six main informants. The results of the study revealed that 4 of the 6 parents with stunted children practiced inadequate parenting, particularly neglectful parenting, which was the most dominant parenting style. This neglectful parenting style was characterized by a lack of adequate supervision and attention to providing nutritious food and health care for children. Parents who apply this parenting style tend to consistently ignore their children's nutritional and health needs, thereby increasing the risk of stunting. In addition, some parents also apply a permissive parenting style, which is characterized by allowing children to freely choose food without clear boundaries or rules. As a result, children often consume unhealthy foods and have irregular eating schedules. In addition to parenting factors, limited socioeconomic conditions also exacerbate the risk of stunting. Parents' low level of knowledge about balanced nutrition and child health care further increases the likelihood of children experiencing stunting. This shows that economic and educational factors are major obstacles in efforts to prevent stunting in the Kecamatan Siantar Utara.

Hypertension is a condition in which systolic blood pressure exceeds 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure exceeds 90 mmHg persistently. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause disorders in the circulatory system and vital organs such as the heart and brain. One non-pharmacological effort to lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients is through deep breathing relaxation exercises, performed twice a day for ten minutes. RSU Siaga Medika Purbalingga, located in Padamara District, has recorded the highest number of hypertension cases in the area, totaling 4,470 patients. Based on a preliminary survey, many hypertensive patients were unaware of the benefits of deep breathing relaxation therapy; therefore, a Community Service (PkM) activity was conducted in the hospital’s Internal Medicine Clinic. The method involved educational sessions using lectures and demonstrations, supported by leaflets and videos. Participants’ knowledge was evaluated using pretest and posttest questionnaires. The results showed that most respondents were female (60%) and aged between 46–55 years (40%). Knowledge levels significantly improved, from the “low” category (40%) before education to the “good” category (90%) after education. Thus, deep breathing relaxation therapy has the potential to be an effective alternative method to help reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension.

This research is motivated by the gap between the support provided by the local government, which has provided the Village Information System (SID) facility to Muaro Pijoan Village, and the actual situation on the ground, which is not yet ready, both in terms of human resources, infrastructure, budget, and legal framework. As a result, the implementation of e-government in Muaro Pijoan Village has not been optimal, and public services are still largely performed manually. This research used a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results indicate that the readiness of the Muaro Pijoan Village Government remains low. In terms of technology utilization, the SID website only functions as a one-way information delivery service and does not yet support interactive public services. This study aims to determine the readiness of the Muaro Pijoan Village Government for e-government implementation and identify factors influencing this readiness.

This research was conducted based on the observation that Batu Parsidangan Siallagan is one of the main tourist destinations in Samosir Regency and consistently attracts many visitors. The site is highly rated on several travel platforms, confirming its strong potential as a cultural tourism icon. However, despite this popularity, some visitors provide negative feedback, particularly regarding inconsistent service quality, attractions that do not fully meet expectations, and inadequate supporting facilities. These conditions encourage further study to analyze tourists’ perceptions of service quality and tourist attractions, as well as their influence on visitor satisfaction. A total of 99 respondents were selected using purposive non-probability sampling to ensure the data collected aligned with the research objectives. Data were gathered using a structured questionnaire tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed through descriptive statistics and inferential methods, including multiple regression, the coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The findings show that service quality and attractions together account for 56.3% of the variation in visitor satisfaction. These results highlight the need to enhance service quality, create more engaging cultural attractions, improve supporting facilities, and provide continuous training for local human resources so that Batu Parsidangan Siallagan can maintain its status as a leading tourist destination.

Kampuang Minang Nagari Sumpur Tourism Village in South Batipuh District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, is a cultural and natural tourism destination with the uniqueness of the gadang house that still functions as a residence, preserved Minangkabau traditions, and natural beauty such as Lake Singkarak. However, there is a gap between the expectations and reality of the tourist experience that visitors feel. This shows that even though the potential and attraction of tourism is huge, there are still weaknesses in destination management that can affect visitor perception and satisfaction. In addition, until now there have not been many studies that specifically examine the perception and experience of tourists in Kampuang Minang Nagari Tourism Village in Sumpur, even though visitor perception greatly determines the image, loyalty, and sustainability of tourist destinations. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observations, questionnaires, and interviews with visitors. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive quantitative approach with the one score one indicator method based on the Likert Scale to identify visitors' perceptions of aspects of accessibility, facilities, tourist attractions, services, environmental conservation, and personal satisfaction and experience during travel. The results of the research are expected to provide a comprehensive overview as the basis for developing an effective and sustainable tourism village management strategy.

The abuse of narcotics in Indonesia has become a serious threat to public health and social order. In supporting law enforcement efforts against narcotics abuse cases, the role of the Police Medical and Health Division (Biddokkes) is crucial. Biddokkes is not only responsible for conducting medical and forensic examinations on suspects but also plays a key role in assessment and rehabilitation recommendations for drug addicts. The health law approach, which emphasizes recovery and the protection of human rights, serves as a vital framework in addressing these cases. This study aims to analyze the role of Biddokkes in supporting law enforcement processes against narcotics abuse and to examine how health law can be applied in this context. The research uses a normative-empirical method with primary and secondary data obtained through document studies, interviews, and field observations within Biddokkes of the North Sumatra Regional Police. The results show that Biddokkes plays a strategic role in legal proceedings, including conducting medical examinations, issuing visum et repertum, toxicology testing, and clinical assessments that determine the legal status of suspects. The findings also indicate that medical examination results from Biddokkes serve as vital evidence in court and form the basis for recommending rehabilitation for drug users. However, challenges such as limited facilities, human resources, and pressure in forensic practices remain obstacles. Therefore, the integration of criminal law and health law approaches must be continuously strengthened to establish a fair, humane, and recovery-based legal enforcement system.

Scouting extracurricular activities play a strategic role in shaping the character of elementary school students, particularly in instilling the values of discipline, solidarity, and cooperation, which are essential for children's personal and social development. This community service project aims to describe the process of mentoring the Marching Regulations (PBB) at SDIT Al-Qonita while identifying the impacts it has on strengthening students' character. The methods used in mentoring include lectures to convey basic concepts, demonstrations as examples of correct movements, repeated practice to train technical skills, joint reflection to evaluate experiences, and a comprehensive evaluation of the results of the activities. The mentoring process was carried out in three meetings over three weeks, with stages starting from an introduction to basic marching material, intensive group practice, and implementation of evaluations that emphasize technical and non-technical aspects. The results of the activity showed that students experienced an increase in technical skills in marching, such as movement accuracy and neatness of formation. Furthermore, this activity was proven to be able to strengthen discipline, solidarity, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to work together among students. Furthermore, the inclusion of educational games and icebreakers during training sessions has proven effective in maintaining motivation, reducing boredom, and creating a pleasant learning environment. Thus, the extracurricular Scouting activities, supported by the National Scout Movement (PBB), serve not only as a means of training marching skills but also as a means of ongoing character development. The results of this community service demonstrate that the PBB can be used as a relevant educational instrument to strengthen the character of elementary school students while simultaneously supporting the achievement of national education goals.

Household waste management, especially organic waste, remains a major problem in many regions, including Pematang Guntung Village, Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Improperly managed organic waste has the potential to cause unpleasant odors, environmental pollution, and become a source of disease. Therefore, an appropriate and environmentally friendly solution is needed to overcome this issue. This study aims to examine how the application of the biopore method can serve as a strategy to create a cleaner environment while simultaneously improving soil fertility. The research method used was qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively to illustrate the implementation of biopores in the community. The results showed that the application of biopores was able to significantly reduce the volume of household organic waste. Organic waste placed into biopore holes naturally decomposed into compost, which is beneficial as an environmentally friendly fertilizer. In addition, biopores improved soil water absorption capacity, which helps reduce waterlogging during the rainy season and maintain soil moisture. From a social perspective, biopores encouraged the development of new awareness among community members regarding the importance of waste management. This was demonstrated by the active participation of residents in creating, utilizing, and maintaining biopore holes sustainably. Thus, biopores function not only as a technical solution for organic waste management but also as an environmental education tool that strengthens community collaboration in maintaining cleanliness and enhancing soil fertility in their area.

A fracture is a condition where the continuity of the bone is disrupted due to a hard impact, often causing significant pain in sufferers. Pain management does not only rely on pharmacological therapy but can also be combined with non-pharmacological therapies, one of which is through cold compresses using ice packs. This therapy is effective because it can reduce pain nerve conduction and reduce blood flow to the injured area, thereby suppressing pain. This activity aims to provide public education on the use of cold compresses as an alternative pain management in fracture cases. Before the activity began, vital signs were measured and a pain scale was assessed as a basis for evaluation. The education was carried out using leaflets by a team of lecturers and nursing students to 30 village community participants. Based on interviews, most participants had never received information about the benefits of cold compresses in pain management. Before the education, 23 participants were accustomed to managing pain with pain relievers, while the other 7 used other non-pharmacological methods such as hot compresses, deep breathing relaxation, and behavioral therapy. After participating in the activity, the community demonstrated an understanding that cold compresses using ice packs applied for 20 minutes when pain occurs can be a simple, inexpensive, and effective method for reducing pain caused by fractures. This activity involves village officials and the community as a collaborative effort to improve health literacy. It is hoped that the community will be able to implement cold compress therapy as a self-help option for managing fracture pain, thereby reducing reliance on analgesic medications.

Cahaya Amal Soleh Foundation is a social institution that focuses on community service through various institutional programs engaged in social, education, and community empowerment. However, a number of operational staff who do not have a financial background have difficulty in understanding and managing financial reports effectively. This study aims to assist staff through the On-the-Job Learning and Development Program (OLDP) themed Finance for Non-Finance with the SIAPIK (Islamic Boarding School and Social Charity Accounting Information System) application approach. The method used is a qualitative approach with a participatory model, involving direct training, transaction recording simulations, and evaluation of participant understanding. The results of the assistance showed a significant increase in staff understanding of basic accounting principles, transaction recording, and SIAPIK-based financial reporting. These findings indicate that a practical approach through an application based on the foundation's needs can improve the financial capacity of non-accounting staff. The implications of this activity reinforce the importance of digitizing the financial system of social organizations and the need for ongoing training for human resources so that accountable and transparent financial governance can be realized sustainably. In addition, the results of this program highlight that the integration of technology and participatory training can overcome barriers in financial literacy among non-finance staff. The SIAPIK application provides an accessible interface and structured modules that are easy to understand, thereby reducing the complexity usually associated with financial management. Staff who previously felt unconfident in processing financial transactions gradually gained competence and independence in applying accounting procedures. The training also fostered collaborative learning, where participants supported each other in solving case simulations, enhancing not only technical knowledge but also teamwork and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, the foundation’s management expressed that the program positively contributed to institutional performance by ensuring more reliable and transparent financial reporting.

Local food such as chayote (Sechium edule) has great potential as a healthy and environmentally friendly product that can support food security and improve the economic value of local communities. The innovation of processing chayote, particularly into jam, not only helps reduce agricultural waste but also opens up promising new market opportunities. This study applied an experimental design to produce chayote jam with variations in the use of granulated sugar, glucose, and the addition of mint leaves to enhance flavor. The production stages included grating fresh chayote, cooking until the water content was reduced, adding sugar and pectin to achieve a thick and stable texture, and finally packaging the product in sterilized glass jars. An organoleptic test was conducted with 32 panelists to evaluate the color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall acceptability of the product. The results indicated that jam dominated by granulated sugar (Sample A) gained the highest level of preference, with an overall acceptance of 81%. In contrast, jam made with full glucose substitution (Sample C) received the lowest score of 66%. Generally, chayote jam had a natural green color, distinctive aroma, and thick texture that were well accepted by consumers. The main factors determining jam quality were cooking techniques, the balance of thickening agents, and the proper combination of ingredients. Therefore, chayote jam has the potential to become an innovative, healthy, and value-added local food product. Support in the form of training, technology application, and promotional strategies is essential to strengthen its competitiveness, improve farmers’ welfare, and enhance food diversification based on Indonesia’s local resources.

This study aims to describe the form and function of negation elements in the syntactic structure of Chairil Anwar's poetry anthology. The research method is descriptive qualitative with linguistic approach. The data sources are poetry texts by Chairil Anwar consisting of nine titles of Chairil Anwar's poems: Aku, Diponegoro, Karawang-Bekasi, Derai-Derai Cemara, Senja di Pelabuhan Kecil, Cintaku Jauh di Pulau, Hampa, Tak Sepadan and Siap Sedia. The data was collected using the documentation method, namely reading and scrutinizing the poetry texts to identify sentences that contain negation elements. The data found were then recorded and classified based on the form and location of the negation element in the syntactic structure of the sentence. Data analysis was conducted through several stages, namely: 1) identifying negation elements (all word/phrase elements containing negation elements in the poem); 2) classifying negation forms based on their types such as not, not, none, yet or don't; 3) analyzing syntactic structure (how the negation element functions in the syntactic structure, whether in predicate, subject, object or adverb; 4) interpreting the meaning and semantic and stylistic functions of negation elements in the context of the whole poem. To maintain data validity, this research uses theoretical triangulation by referring to various linguistic references (especially syntax and semantics) as well as previous studies on Chairil Anwar's poetry. In addition, data validation is done through cross-checking between readers on the results of identification and analysis. The results show that the element of negation plays a central role in shaping the syntactic structure, meaning and ideological and emotional character of his poetry.

Floods are one of the most common natural disasters and have a significant impact on the social, economic, and environmental aspects of society. This is particularly evident in the community of East Sorong District. East Sorong District is one of the areas frequently affected by floods, and this inevitably leads to numerous risks and consequences. There are several causes of flooding in the Sorong Timur District, including extreme rainfall, inadequate drainage systems due to trash blockages, uncontrolled land use changes resulting in overpopulation, and the loss of forest areas or green spaces that could function as water absorption zones. Additionally, the lack of flood control systems and weak oversight of development in flood-prone areas can exacerbate flood disaster risks. This study aims to determine the relationship between the number of incoming letters and outgoing letters in the form of Assignment Letters (SPT) and Official Travel Orders (SPPD). The research employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis, with data collected through direct observation and official document records. The findings indicate a positive relationship between incoming and outgoing letters; however, the relationship is not statistically significant (p-value = 0.068). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.358, meaning that 35.8% of the variation in outgoing letters is influenced by incoming letters, while the rest is affected by other factors. These results underscore the need for stronger administrative management systems to improve bureaucratic efficiency and accountability.
