This study aims to explore the concept of reconciliation in Christian theology as a philosophical foundation for an alternative criminal justice model involving the LGBT community. The retributive criminal law approach is often considered ineffective in addressing the complexities of legal, social, and religious conflicts related to religious sexual minorities. Using a qualitative method and a constructivist approach, this study analyzes the meaning of reconciliation through sacred texts, doctrine, and interviews with theologians, legal practitioners, and the Christian LGBT community. This approach reveals the subjective understanding of the actors regarding reconciliation and justice. The findings show that the core of reconciliation theology is the restoration of relationships, recognition, and transformation, which can form an ethical framework for the restorative justice model. This model offers a holistic solution, not only addressing legal consequences but also restoring social harmony by respecting individuals' dual identities. The article concludes that the integration of theological insights can lead to a more inclusive and transformative criminal justice paradigm for the LGBT community, resulting in a more humane and just resolution.

The food and beverage (FnB) industry is one of the main supporting sectors of tourism in Indonesia and has experienced rapid growth along with the increasing number of tourist activities and consumer demand. However, previous studies indicate that Service Quality in the FnB industry remains suboptimal, particularly in aspects related to human resources (HR). Issues such as inconsistent service performance, low responsiveness, and limited employee competence and work attitude are commonly identified. This study aims to systematically examine the role of human resources in Service Quality within the FnB industry and to identify key factors, management strategies, and existing research gaps. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PICOC framework, analyzing 20 national and international journal articles published between 2015 - 2025 and retrieved from Google Scholar. The findings reveal that the most influential HR factors affecting Service Quality include competence, communication skills, work attitude, experience, and employee training. Furthermore, effective human resource management practices demonstrate a positive relationship with improved Service Quality. Nevertheless, the review identifies a lack of comprehensive studies integrating HR management and Service Quality within the specific Context of the Indonesian FnB industry, indicating opportunities for future research.

Psychological well-being is a fundamental construct in individual development; however, within guidance and counseling practice it is often positioned merely as an indirect outcome of problem-focused interventions. Philosophically and empirically, psychological well-being holds substantial potential to be established as a primary goal of guidance and counseling services. This article aims to examine psychological well-being as an axiological objective of guidance and counseling through a philosophy of science perspective supported by recent empirical evidence. The method employed is a literature review of scholarly publications from the last eight years retrieved through Google Scholar. Eleven relevant articles were selected and analyzed using thematic synthesis to identify conceptual patterns and empirical findings related to psychological well-being in the context of guidance and counseling. The results indicate that psychological well-being is conceptualized as a long-term developmental outcome reflecting holistic human functioning, encompassing dimensions such as autonomy, purpose in life, personal growth, environmental mastery, self-acceptance, and positive relations with others. Various guidance and counseling interventions particularly those based on mindfulness and positive psychology interventions have been empirically demonstrated to effectively enhance eudaimonic well-being. From an axiological perspective, psychological well-being possesses strong value foundations and aligns with the ethical mandate of guidance and counseling to promote optimal human development. This article underscores the necessity of a paradigm shift in guidance and counseling practice, moving from a predominantly problem-oriented approach toward a well-being-oriented framework in which psychological well-being is positioned as a central and explicit goal of professional services.

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are the result of human thought that have economic and social value and play a significant role in encouraging creativity, technological innovation, and sustainable national development. IPR protection not only aims to provide legal certainty for creators and rights holders, but also serves as a strategic instrument in strengthening the creative economy. However, low public awareness of the importance of IPR protection and the gap between legal norms and practices in the field result in frequent violations of intellectual works. This study uses a normative-juridical approach combined with a participatory-educational approach, in accordance with the characteristics of community service activities in the legal field. This approach aims to integrate normative legal analysis with legal education activities for the community, thereby producing both conceptual understanding and practical benefits. The results of the activities show a significant increase in public understanding of the relationship between constitutional principles and IPR protection in Indonesia. Through educational activities and legal dialogues, it was revealed that the integration between constitutional principles and the IPR legal system has not been optimal, not only due to limited regulations, but also weak public legal awareness and the application of substantive justice as mandated by the 1945 Constitution. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating constitutional values in the IPR protection system.

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) regarding the influence of career development on organizational commitment. Based on the analysis of various scientific articles, career development is an important approach in human resource management, which focuses on improving employees’ skills, enthusiasm, and readiness to face job challenges and promotion opportunities. On the other hand, organizational commitment refers to the emotional connection that employees have with their workplace, which includes aspects of emotional attachment, obligation, and enduring bonds. The results of the systematic literature review indicate that many previous studies have found a strong and positive correlation between career development and organizational commitment. Workers who are aware of support for their career development, including training programs, mentoring, or predetermined career paths, generally show a higher level of dedication to their organization. Furthermore, various studies have shown that career development can also have an indirect effect on organizational commitment through mediating factors such as job satisfaction, work motivation, and employee performance. However, several studies have shown that career development does not always have a significant impact on organizational commitment, particularly in organizations without a structured career system or when employees have negative perceptions of career opportunities. These varying results highlight the existence of contextual factors that influence the relationship between variables. Overall, this study offers in-depth insights into the significance of career development as a strategic factor in enhancing organizational commitment, along with suggestions for organizations and future researchers conducting similar studies.

This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the psychological journey of the character Rangga Raja in the novel 0 MDPL by Nurwina Sari. The main focus of the study is to identify the inner conflicts experienced by the protagonist as well as the dynamics of the personality structure consisting of the Id, Ego, and Superego that shape his psychological development throughout the storyline. This research employs a literary psychology approach using a qualitative descriptive method, conducted through a literature review and document analysis of the novel text as the primary data source. The findings indicate that Rangga Raja experiences complex emotional conflicts resulting from past trauma, experiences of loss, and failures in romantic relationships. These conditions are reflected through the tensions and interactions between the Id, Ego, and Superego within himself. The process toward the “zero point” (0 MDPL) is interpreted as a symbol of an identity crisis phase as well as a stage of self-reconstruction, in which the protagonist undergoes processes of reflection, self-acceptance, and openness to change. In addition, Rangga’s interactions with other characters, such as Andini, La Nina, and Nadia G. Sahara, play an important role in his psychological recovery and healing process. This study confirms that the novel 0 MDPL represents a profound reflection on human psychological dynamics, the search for identity, and the gradual process of inner healing.

This study aims to map the direction of criminal punishment policy formulated in criminal law provisions, test claims of humanizing punishment through sanction design and the principle of individualization, and describe forms of repression that operate through normative flexibility, law enforcement discretion, and morally nuanced criminalization. The research method used is normative legal research, utilizing both a legislative and conceptual approach to analyze the norms, principles, and objectives of punishment. The results show that Article 51 articulates the objectives of punishment, including the rehabilitation of offenders, community protection, and the restoration of social balance. However, this provision functions primarily as normative legitimacy for a flexible sanction architecture. The existence of alternative punishments and oversight mechanisms refines the form of punishment while expanding state intervention into the social life of offenders. Furthermore, the regulation of conditional sentences and adjustments to the implementation of sanctions increase the discretion of law enforcement officials. Repression does not disappear, but rather shifts through regulations on morality, public order, recognition of living law, and the threat of symbolic punishment, shifting the relationship between the state and individuals toward ongoing administrative control.

This study examines Pamungkas’s song “To the Bone” through the lens of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), focusing on the ideational, interpersonal, and textual metafunctions as proposed by M.A.K. Halliday. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research explores how the lyrics represent emotional depth, longing, and devotion through linguistic choices. The ideational metafunction reveals the representation of personal experiences and emotional states, as seen in the recurring mental processes that express desire and affection. The interpersonal metafunction highlights the close emotional relationship between the singer and the listener, employing personal pronouns, modality, and mood to convey sincerity, vulnerability, and affection. Meanwhile, the textual metafunction ensures cohesion and coherence through repetition, thematic structure, and parallelism, which emphasize the constancy of emotion and strengthen the lyrical unity. By uncovering these linguistic processes, this study demonstrates how “To the Bone” serves as a powerful medium of emotional expression, illustrating how language in music functions not only as art but also as a reflection of human intimacy and emotional truth.

This article examines in depth the concept of protecting human dignity through the regulation of gaze and physical contact among mahram according to the Shafi‘i School of Islamic law. From an Islamic perspective, the preservation of dignity (ḥifẓ al-‘irḍ) occupies a highly fundamental position as part of the objectives of Islamic law, particularly in regulating social relations and family interactions. Although mahram relationships legally allow closer interaction, Islam continues to establish ethical boundaries to safeguard purity and moral values. This study is a normative legal research employing conceptual and normative-fiqh approaches, relying on primary sources such as the Qur’an, the Prophetic traditions (hadith), and classical as well as contemporary Shafi‘i jurisprudential literature. The findings indicate that the Shafi‘i School does not regard mahram relations as a sphere of absolute and unrestricted freedom, but instead provides clear regulations concerning gaze and physical contact. Visual interaction is permitted in a limited manner, restricted to certain parts of the body and subject to the condition that it does not provoke desire or potential moral temptation (fitnah). Meanwhile, physical contact is regulated more strictly and, in principle, is only permitted in situations of legitimate shar‘i necessity, such as medical treatment or emergency circumstances. Therefore, the regulation of gaze and physical contact among mahram in the Shafi‘i School functions as an instrument for protecting human dignity, preserving the sanctity of family relationships, and preventing behavioral deviations from an early stage.

This research examines law enforcement against immigration violations and the factors influencing the effectiveness of border crossing inspection at the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) of Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. Immigration inspection plays a vital role in safeguarding national sovereignty and monitoring cross-border human movement. Using a normative juridical approach with statutory and conceptual approaches, the findings demonstrate that enforcement procedures include document verification, identification of violations, administrative actions, and deportation in accordance with Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. Common violations found include misuse of stay permits, travel document forgery, unauthorized border crossers, and illegal activities by foreign nationals beyond visa provisions. However, implementation still faces challenges such as limited human resources, inadequate infrastructure, and weak inter-agency coordination. Several factors affect the effectiveness of inspections, including personnel quality, technological support, legal frameworks, infrastructure capacity, traveler volume, inter-agency cooperation, political and international relations factors, socio-cultural dynamics, financial and logistical support, as well as internal supervision and accountability systems. The research concludes that institutional capacity building, policy integration, regulatory harmonization, and strengthened internal supervision are essential to ensure optimal immigration control at TPI Tanjung Perak in facing global challenges.

The phenomenon of marriages between Indonesian citizens (WNI) and refugees represents a complex legal challenge due to the absence of specific regulations governing such relationships. This study examines the legal protection for Indonesian citizens who become victims of manipulative marriages by refugees, employing a normative juridical approach with statutory and conceptual methods. The research analyses primary legal materials, including the 1945 Constitution, Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, Law Number 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights, and Presidential Regulation Number 125 of 2016 concerning the Handling of Refugees from Abroad. The findings reveal that Indonesian national law does not specifically regulate marriages between Indonesian citizens and refugees or asylum seekers, creating a significant legal vacuum (rechtsvacuum) that renders such relationships vulnerable to abuse, violence, and legal uncertainty. Furthermore, the state's responsibility in protecting Indonesian citizen victims of manipulative marriages by refugees has not been optimally implemented, despite constitutional and juridical foundations requiring protection from all forms of violence, discrimination, and exploitation. The study recommends the formulation of specific regulations addressing marriages between Indonesian citizens and refugees, strengthening the role of victim protection institutions, and establishing inter-agency coordination systems, including international organisations such as UNHCR and IOM, to prevent abuse and strengthen law enforcement mechanisms.

Formal organizational structures are crucial for ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of work processes within an institution. However, many organizations still face challenges such as overlapping tasks, ineffective communication, and inadequate control mechanisms. This study aims to analyze formal organizational structure design strategies through systematic steps, implementation mechanisms, and ongoing evaluation. The research method used is a literature review, based on a review of the latest scientific sources (books, journals, and research reports) related to organizational theory and structural design. The results indicate that organizational structure design should begin with defining objectives, analyzing activities, departmentalizing, establishing hierarchical relationships, coordinating mechanisms, and evaluating. Implementation mechanisms include socialization, human resource capacity development, process integration with technology, monitoring, and change management. The literature review also confirms that alignment between strategy, structure, and business processes is a key factor in improving organizational performance. Therefore, organizational structures must be adaptive, responsive, and data-driven to face the challenges of an ever-evolving strategic environment.

Christian transformational leadership offers an ideal model for church organizational development, but its implementation in the Indonesian context faces complex structural and cultural barriers. This study aims to identify and analyze the structural and cultural barriers that influence the implementation of Christian transformational leadership in Indonesian church organizations, analyze the mechanisms of organizational resistance and their implications for leadership effectiveness, and formulate adaptive strategies relevant to local dynamics. The method used is a qualitative literature study with a systematic literature review approach of the latest academic sources. The results show that structural barriers include limited human resource capacity, weak organizational infrastructure, and immature management systems, while cultural barriers are rooted in strong local traditions and resistance to new leadership models. Organizational resistance arises through mutually reinforcing interpersonal, organizational, and cultural mechanisms, resulting in decreased congregation participation and empowerment effectiveness. Effective adaptive strategies include participatory dialogue communication, continuous leadership development, acculturation of leadership to local values, and the formation of an inclusive organizational culture. This study concludes that the sustainable implementation of Christian transformational leadership requires a holistic approach that integrates changes in structure, culture, and interpersonal relationships while remaining sensitive to the local context and cultural wisdom.

This study traces the historical and intellectual processes that enabled Plato's ideas to enter the tradition of Islamic philosophy and subsequently influence Islamic boarding school education in Indonesia. Starting from the increasing openness of Islamic boarding schools to classical humanities, this study aims to understand how Plato's ideas were transferred from the context of Ancient Greece, reinterpreted by Muslim philosophers, and integrated into traditional learning practices. Using a library-based qualitative approach with hermeneutic, historical-intellectual, and thematic methods, this study analyzes the transmission pathways that include the Abbasid translation movement, the interpretive contributions of figures such as Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, and Ibn Sina, and the absorption of concepts through literature on ethics, logic, and adab. The findings show that Islamic boarding schools did not inherit Plato's ideas directly, but rather through the Islamic philosophical tradition that reshaped Platonic elements to fit the Islamic intellectual framework. Concepts related to spiritual education, character building, and ethical rationality are in line with the orientation of tazkiyah al-nafs, which is the foundation of Islamic boarding school pedagogy. This study confirms that the relationship between Plato's ideas and Islamic education emerged through a long creative process, not merely a transfer of texts. Practically, these findings highlight opportunities to develop a more reflective, critical, and virtue-centered pesantren curriculum, while encouraging further ethnographic research to explore how the classical philosophical heritage is reinterpreted in contemporary santri learning practices.

The flood disaster the struct Mauponggo, Flores, Est Nusa tenggara, not only caused infrastructural destruction, loss of life and social trauma, but also revealed a deeper philosophical dimension of human existence. From an ontological prespective, a disaster is not merely a natural occurrence but a moment of disclosure that unvieils the existential fragility of human beings in the faceof natural forces beyond rational, technological, and social control. Onology, as a branch of metaphysics that explores the nature of being, understands humans as beings whose existence is inseparable from space, time, and limitation. Trough a reflective and literature based approach, this study examines the Mauponggo flood as an existential event that exposes the ontological condition of humanity, drawing particularly on Martin Heidegger’s concepts of being toward death and being in the world. The finding show that disaster reveals humans as finite and vulnerable beings who remain open to relationships with nature, others, and the transcendent. This study affirms that an ontological prespective on disaster not only enriches academic discussions on the philosophy of disaster but also holds practical signifincace. The awareness of existential fragility encourages social solidarity, ecological ethics, and deeper transcendental reflection. Thus, this work contributes to developing more reflective and meaningful humanitarian and sustainability responses rooted in a philosophical understanding of human existence and its place in the world.
