Indonesia is known as the largest archipelagic country in the world and is recognized as having a maritime territorial area that is almost equal to its land area. Indonesia's territorial waters contain abundant potential fishery resources and marine diversity, making it known as a maritime country. Illegal fishing is an activity or fishing activity that is contrary to a country's laws or international regulations, where the majority of perpetrators are corporations. Illegal fishing practices have a tremendous impact on marine sustainability, causing huge losses to the country. In the context of carrying out fisheries activities, the Tanjung Adikarto Fishing Port does not fully meet the requirements as a Coastal Fishing Port (Type C). Complete facilities such as cold storage, shops, ship maintenance and fishing equipment, as well as places for handling and processing fishery products are still not available, while several other facilities also do not meet adequate standards. In this section, the author will describe the actual conditions of the facilities at Tanjung Adikarto Port and their comparison with the standard facilities that a Coastal Port (Type C) should have. This is the first step to evaluate what needs to be improved in order to increase the capacity and feasibility of the port to support more optimal fishing activities. Observations of the existing condition of the port have revealed several problems that need attention. Buildings that are damaged and uninhabitable are one of the main issues that need to be addressed immediately. The aim is not only to ensure port operations run optimally, but also to align port activities with environmental sustainability, so that their contribution to the community's economy can be realized in a sustainable manner.

The processing and utilization of natural resources aims to meet all human needs in each country, both in the agriculture, fisheries, and mining sectors. Natural resource law focuses more on exploitation and utilization, while environmental law focuses on its preservation, indeed these two laws seem to contradict and there is a difference. But this is always related to each other and cannot be separated.  Downstream which refers to the development or transformation of the added value of a product or commodity from raw materials upstream to semi-finished products or finished products downstream. In other words, through the downstream program, Indonesia has the opportunity to increase revenue by managing the production process from upstream to downstream. Downstream is the main focus of the government because downstream has significant added value potential for the country's economy. The government said the key to Indonesia's economic growth reaching 6-7% lies in downstream. One of the downstream industry programs is predicted to be an important step to support the momentum of golden Indonesia 2045.

Abstract The objectives of this study were to identify the social strata/layers of the fish farming community in Samarinda City and to determine the strategy for aquaculture development in Samarinda City. Respondents in this study were selected using purposive sampling with a total of 26 respondents from fish farmers and 5 staff of the Fisheries Service. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative and SWOT analysis. The results of the study found that there are two social stratifications in the cultivation community in Samarinda City, namely middlemen/collecting traders and owner fish farmers. Positions as middlemen/collecting traders and fish farmers are status roles that are obtained because they are fought for through their own choices or efforts (achieved status). The top social layer is occupied by middlemen or collecting traders by looking at the level of wealth owned (ownership of vehicles, living conditions and ownership of luxury goods). The strategy that can be carried out for the development of aquaculture in Samarinda City is an aggressive strategy, namely optimizing technology and infrastructure to support the marketing of aquaculture products.

The Bolotomo cattle breeder group in Wingkosigromulyo Village, Nkombol District, Purworejo Regency, has been established since 2010 with the help of subsidies from the local Livestock Service. Initially, they focused on producing organic fertilizer, but switched to the feeder cattle and meat business because the selling price of fertilizer was low. Livestock management is still traditional, and concentrate feed is rarely used because it is expensive and difficult to obtain. In the dry season, food availability is limited, and rice straw and field grass are the main food sources. The service activity by Tidar University students aims to help farmer groups overcome the feed crisis with technology for making pellets from local materials. Demonstration of making pellets using a mixture of calliandra leaf flour, rice bran, pineapple peel, molasses and tapioca flour. Pellets have the advantage of improving feed quality, consumption efficiency and shelf life. Farmers also shared their experiences and expressed the need for processing livestock waste, such as biogas plants, to reduce pollution and increase income. Integration between the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors is the focus for sustainable development.

Cassava is a potential food ingredient that has quite good prospects in the fields of agribusiness and agroindustry. Cassava crackers are made from cassava which is processed into crackers, as well as being another alternative food that contains nutritional value. Based on data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Timor-Leste in 2009-2010, cassava production reached 47,845 tons. However, cassava production has not been utilized optimally by the people of Timor-Leste as a food ingredient for the nutritional value food industry. therefore, it needs to be developed. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of adding soybean concentration to each treatment and to find out which treatment is best for each parameter used in the test. The method used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments, namely 0% soybean concentration compared to 1 kg of cassava, 10% compared to 1 kg of cassava, 20% compared to 1 kg of cassava, 30% compared to 1 kg of cassava. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The resulting data will be analyzed using analysis of variance and if necessary, will be presented with a follow-up test of the least significant difference (BNT) at the 5% level. The results of the variance statistical test show that the addition of soybean concentration has a significant effect on the color, taste, aroma and texture of making cassava crackers. This research shows that the best results are 10% soybean concentration in color, taste, aroma and texture.

The aim of this study was to assess the impact of octopus fishing gear use on coral reef ecosystems in Simeulue District. The research was conducted in May 2024, with research methods combining in-depth interviews and field observations. The results show that the use of unsustainable fishing gear, such as nets, contributes to the destruction of coral reefs, which negatively impacts marine biodiversity. Although fishers recognize the importance of ecosystem sustainability, challenges in adopting environmentally friendly practices still exist, including a lack of law enforcement and education. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for collaboration between the government and fishing communities in formulating more effective fisheries resource management policies, as well as the importance of training in sustainable fishing techniques. The study provides recommendations for the implementation of stricter regulations on the use of fishing gear, as well as encouraging active participation of fishers in fisheries resource management.

Indonesia as an archipelagic country has very high resources in the fisheries and marine sectors, where these resources become weapons in improving the welfare of the people in particular and become capital in national development patterns. However, poverty is still an icon for fishermen. The income of fishing fishermen can be said to be different from other types of business because the fishing business is uncertain, where the income fluctuates and speculates, which can lead to the growth of poverty. The aim to be achieved in this research is to reveal and analyze things that influence the income of capture fisheries fishermen. Meanwhile, the author took the explanatory descriptive method as the research method. Data collection came from 100 fishermen respondents with discussion of fishermen's profiles in the form of age, education, family responsibilities, experience and length of time at sea.
