Choosing a strategic business location is a key factor in building a successful enterprise, especially in Lautem Municipality, Timor-Leste. This area presents various opportunities for businesses such as grocery shops, small restaurants, repair workshops, and agricultural ventures. However, entrepreneurs often face challenges like poor road infrastructure, limited purchasing power, and inadequate transport access. This study developed a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using the ELECTRE method to help business owners select the most suitable location. The system evaluates multiple location options based on important criteria such as population density, transportation access, and economic activity. By using this approach, entrepreneurs can reduce the risk of choosing an unprofitable location and improve their chances of success. The results show that implementing the ELECTRE method in a DSS is effective for identifying optimal business sites. These findings are expected to serve as a practical reference for entrepreneurs in Lospalos and nearby areas, while also supporting local economic development in the region.

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as traditional Islamic educational institutions not only serve as places for shaping students’ character, morals, and spirituality but also hold great potential in developing community economic independence through the management of pesantren business units. These business units are a concrete manifestation of the values of independence, hard work, and responsibility taught in the pesantren’s educational process. The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the role of pesantren business units in supporting the economic self-reliance of the pesantren itself as well as their contribution to empowering the surrounding community. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach on several pesantren that have successfully developed various business units such as cooperatives, agriculture, livestock, garment production, and student shops. The results show that pesantren business units function not only as a means of entrepreneurship education for students but also as a primary source of funding to support the operational activities of the pesantren. In addition, they act as the driving force of the local economy by creating employment opportunities, increasing income, and promoting community-based economic empowerment. The success of pesantren business units is influenced by professional management, strong leadership support, and the ability to innovate and adapt to changing times.

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of e-government implementation in Indonesia, examining the trajectory of digital transformation in public services, the institutional frameworks supporting this transition, and the multifaceted impacts on service quality and governance outcomes. Through systematic literature review and critical policy analysis, this research explores the evolution of Indonesia's e-government initiatives from early adoption to current comprehensive digital service platforms, investigating both successes and persistent challenges. The findings reveal that Indonesia has made substantial progress in developing e-government infrastructure and applications across national and local government levels, with notable achievements including integrated digital identity systems, online business licensing platforms, and citizen complaint management systems. These initiatives have demonstrably improved service accessibility, reduced processing times, minimized corruption opportunities, and enhanced government responsiveness. However, implementation remains uneven across regions and government institutions, constrained by factors including digital infrastructure disparities, limited digital literacy among citizens and officials, organizational resistance to change, inadequate interoperability between systems, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The research identifies critical success factors for effective e-government implementation including strong leadership commitment, adequate resource allocation, comprehensive capacity building programs, citizen-centric design principles, robust legal frameworks, and collaborative partnerships between government, private sector, and civil society.

Business location plays a crucial role in determining the success and development of a business, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to analyze how business location influences the performance and sustainability of the Fresh and Healthy Juice MSME in Medan. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews with business owners, and documentation of daily business activities. The results show that selecting a strategic location, namely on the main road and close to busy areas such as markets, schools, and offices, has a positive impact on increasing the number of customers and sales volume. Factors such as easy transportation access, environmental cleanliness, comfort of the place, and the attractive appearance of the store also support a positive product image in the eyes of consumers. In addition, an easily accessible location simplifies the distribution of raw materials and expands opportunities for word-of-mouth promotion. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the right business location is an important strategy in increasing competitiveness and business revenue. Therefore, for MSMEs, selecting a location that suits the target market needs to be carefully considered so that the business can grow sustainably.

The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach that included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the local community. The results of the study show that the people of Rias Village have a positive perception of the importance of food security, especially from an economic perspective, such as market access, food prices, and business capital. This Community Service Programme was implemented to address the issues faced by Bank Sampah Anggrek's partners in Bendogerit Village, Blitar City. The main problems faced by the partners included limited variety of recycled products, simple waste processing techniques, and ineffective marketing strategies. Activities include socialisation, strengthening local partnerships, recycling training, and digital marketing assistance. As a result, members of the Waste Bank were able to create three new products: plant pots made from orange peels, carnival costumes made from fabric and plastic waste, and ecobrick furniture, and establish collaborations with two local businesses. The constraints of the Community Service Programme activities included limited production facilities, inconsistent participant attendance, low digital literacy, and competition with traditional waste collectors. This programme demonstrates that a waste bank-based sociopreneurship model can have economic, social, and environmental impacts while supporting sustainable waste management strategies. The programme was also successful due to its participatory approach, which actively involved Anggrek Waste Bank members in every step. Participants not only gained new information, but also acquired practical skills that can be used in the processing and marketing of recycled goods. This community service programme greatly helps to raise awareness of the importance of community-based circular economy. While reducing negative impacts on the environment, the sociopreneurship model can boost the community's economy. Bank Sampah Anggrek has the potential to develop into a centre for sustainable waste management innovation at the neighbourhood level by strengthening local capacity and opening up opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.

The efficiency of investment decisions is one of the core axes in the success of organizations and the sustainability of their business, especially in light of the dynamic and complex business environment. In this context, the integrated role of both accounting and financial management systems is highlighted, as the harmony between them is a key pillar in providing accurate, real-time, and analytical data that supports the investment decision maker and reduces the degree of uncertainty and risks associated with investments. This research aims to analyze the impact of the integration between accounting systems and financial management on the quality and efficiency of investment decisions within institutions, with a focus on the nature of the causal relationship between the two variables. A conceptual model has been built that illustrates the interaction between the financial information generated by the accounting system and the analytical tools provided by the financial department, which contributes to raising the efficiency of strategic decisions related to investment. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive-analytical approach supported by a standard analysis using a simple linear regression model was adopted on field data extracted from an intentional sample of financial officials in the banking and investment sector. The results showed that there is a statistically significant positive effect of the integration of accounting and financial management systems in enhancing the efficiency of investment decisions, as the model showed that integration contributes more than 50% to the explanation of changes in the quality of investment decisions. The study reached a number of important findings, the most prominent of which is that the lack of integration or poor coordination between accounting and financial management leads to delays in decisions or making them based on incomplete or contradictory information. Effective integration enables organizations to allocate resources more efficiently and evaluate investment alternatives in a thoughtful manner. The study concluded with a set of recommendations, most notably the need to develop the digital infrastructure of accounting and financial systems, adopt a unified system for data exchange, enhance the culture of teamwork between accounting and financial management units, in addition to activating the use of predictive financial analysis techniques to raise the level of accuracy in investment decisions.

To respond to the challenges and needs of contemporary society, the public sector must rapidly adapt to digital transformation. The objective of this research is to examine relevant and adaptive human resource development strategies for the digital ecosystem and to evaluate how they impact the quality of public services in the era of technological disruption. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review and policy analysis. It analyzes best practices from government institutions, both national and international, in developing human resources oriented towards the digital era. Key findings indicate that optimizing human resources requires not only improving technological capabilities or digital expertise; it also requires reconstructing leadership paradigms, flexible organizational cultures, and implementing meritocratic systems and data-driven performance management. It is evident that technologies such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) can help improve public services, but the success of these technologies depends heavily on the capabilities and readiness of the employees who manage these systems. An integrated digital talent ecosystem must be built, encompassing continuous training (learning for life), collaboration between government, academia, and business (the triple helix model), and a regulatory framework responsive to technological developments. Furthermore, it is emphasized that developing digital integrity and ethics is crucial as a pillar of good governance in the digital era. Optimizing human resource development strategies systematically and sustainably will enable Indonesia to improve the efficiency of public services and strengthen the competitiveness of its bureaucracy globally. By 2045, adaptable, innovative, and highly integrated human resources will be the primary drivers of a digital government transformation that is inclusive, responsive, and future-oriented.
