Indonesia is a country where the majority of its population works as farmers. One of the occupational health risks that can affect farmers is low back pain. An initial study, based on health data from the Matesih Health Center, found that many farmers in the area under the Matesih Health Center's jurisdiction reported complaints of low back pain. Therefore, efforts need to be made to reduce the risk of low back pain. The Mulyo Farmers' Group is one of the farmer associations in Gugur Village, Matesih District. Socialization is one of the efforts that can be made to increase knowledge about low back pain among the Mulyo Farmers' Group. This research used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 48 members of the Mulyo Farmers' Group, selected using simple random sampling. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The research activities included a pre-test, socialization about low back pain, and a post-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the level of knowledge before and after the socialization about low back pain in the Mulyo Farmers' Group.

Background: Lower back pain is common in pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, due to physiological changes such as weight gain, shifts in the body’s center of gravity, and ligament relaxation. Prenatal exercise is a non-pharmacological method that improves flexibility, strengthens muscles, and enhances posture, reducing lower back pain. However, its implementation remains limited due to a lack of education and supporting facilities. Objective: This study evaluates the effect of prenatal exercise on lower back pain reduction in third-trimester pregnant women at the Independent Practice of Midwife Novia Br Karo, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. Method: A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was used. The study included 32 third-trimester pregnant women experiencing lower back pain. Prenatal exercise was provided, and pain levels were measured before and after using an observation sheet. Results: Before the intervention, most respondents (53.1%) reported moderate pain. After prenatal exercise, the majority (59.4%) experienced reduced pain in the mild category. The Wilcoxon test yielded a Z value of -3.122 with p = 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of prenatal exercise in reducing lower back pain. Conclusion: Prenatal exercise effectively reduces lower back pain intensity in third-trimester pregnant women. It should be promoted as a non-pharmacological intervention for pregnancy-related back pain and incorporated into maternal health programs.

As cities in Indonesia continue to develop, there will inevitably be ignorance of the elderly's knowledge of their own health. For example, elderly people with working backgrounds are generally at risk of lower back pain, pinched nerves, complaining of various muscle tension problems and so on which can disrupt their daily activities. This problem is caused by incorrect positioning while working, such as frequently pushing, lifting, bending, sitting or standing for long periods of time and unergonomic body posture while working. Physiotherapy outreach activities related to increasing knowledge of daily activity disorders, efforts to educate the elderly regarding activity disorders, especially about definitions, signs of symptoms, causes, prevention, and daily activity activity therapy independently after work to reduce the symptoms suffered. This outreach activity uses leaflets as media, containing educational material for the elderly, then education and training depending on the location of the disorders the elderly complain of. The counseling activities at the Mobile Health Center Posyandu which are held every day by the Kendalsari Community Health Center, Malang City, went smoothly, the response was good, full of enthusiasm. Changes in the musculoskeletal system during the third trismester of pregnancy cause changes in body weight, abdominal muscle elasticity, and center of gravity which affect the balance of pregnant women. Back pain in pregnancy can be detrimental to the quality of life of pregnant women and is caused by changes in posture, hyperlordosis, paraspinal muscle tension, and decreased blood flow to the spine. Physiotherapy is a non-pharmacological solution by applying massage and stretching techniques. Massage helps relax muscles, reduce pain, increase blood flow, and improve muscle flexibility. Stretching plays a role in reducing pain, increasing flexibility, muscle strength, and preventing deformity. This activity is carried out by conveying physiotherapy information through leaflets as a promotional medium, pre-test, post-test, and questions to pregnant women to measure knowledge. The results of the activity showed active participation from 12 pregnant women class participants with positive responses to the material presented. Interesting material accompanied by demonstrations of massage and stretching techniques helps increase knowledge of pregnant women. Evaluation before and after the activity showed an increase in knowledge from 5% to 100%, indicating the success of the extension activity.

The purpose: To determine the effect of differences between SWD and neural mobilization with SWD and William’s flexion exercise to improve of functional ability on patient’s with low back pain ischialgia. Design: Two group pretest and posttest design. Participants and interventions: Ten patients with low back pain ischialgia from both sexes were involved (outpatient hospital clinic). Age of the patients between 46 – 65 years. They were divided into two equal groups, Group (I) received SWD and neural mobilization intervention and Group (II) received SWD and William’s flexion exercise. Outcome measure: The Oswestry disability index (ODI) was used to assess changes in perceived disability. The mean differences between week 0 and week 3 were compared across the two treatment groups using Mann-Whitney. Ninety-five percent (95%) confidence intervals (CIs) for the differences between groups were calculated. Results: The results of study revealed that: there was significant difference in functional ability group I (p=0.034) and group II (p=0.038). Howeverthere wasn’t a significant difference between both groups on functional disabilities improvement (p=0.245), so there wasn’t intervention which better of both. Conclusion: It is concluded that SWD addition neural mobilization and SWD addition William’s flexion exercise may be beneficial in the management of patients with low back pain ischialgia to improving of functional ability in two groups.

Background: Dysmenorrhea is pain experienced during or just before menstruation and is one of the most common gynecological issues affecting women of all ages. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs 6 to 12 months after the first menstruation and is caused by high levels of prostaglandins released from endometrial secretions, leading to painful uterine contractions. Carrots are a vegetable rich in vitamin E, which can help block the formation of prostaglandins and counteract the effects of increased production of prostaglandin hormones. Objective :To analyze the difference in dysmenorrhea pain levels before and after consuming carrot juice. Method : A one-group pretest-posttest approach was used, conducted in Ngablak Village, Kenteng Nogosari, Boyolali, in April-May, involving 20 respondents. Data processing was done using the Wilcoxon statistical test. Results: The majority of respondents before consuming carrot juice (100%) experienced severe pain. After consuming carrot juice, out of 20 respondents (100%), 6 (30.0%) experienced a reduction to mild pain, and 14 (70.0%) experienced a reduction to moderate pain. The Wilcoxon test results showed a significant effect of carrot juice on dysmenorrhea in adolescents, with a p-value of 0.00 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of consuming carrot juice on the reduction of dysmenorrhea in adolescents in Ngablak Village.
