A crucial issue currently facing the Church is its stance on building good and harmonious relationships with all other belief systems within its own community. Although dogmatically the Church explicitly expresses its openness to all religious practices and piety lived out by the faithful according to their traditional beliefs, the Church remains cautious so that in building relationships through dialogue, the traditions of the Church are not lost. This paper aims to highlight the relationship between the Catholic faith and the traditional belief system of the Manggarai people in light of the dogmatic constitution Nostra Aetate. Nostra Aetate is one of the key documents resulting from the Second Vatican Council that addresses the current reality of religious diversity. Through this document, the Church seeks to declare its commitment to reflecting on the fact that all humanity shares a single origin and a single ultimate goal: God Himself. The beliefs or religious system of the Manggarai people is implicitly monotheistic, namely Mori Jari dedek Ema pu’un kuasa. On this basis, the Church sees that the same concept exists in Catholic doctrine. In this study, the author uses qualitative research with a text analysis approach. Text analysis is a methodology in qualitative research that aims to interpret and analyze texts based on their context.

This study aims to analyze normatively and juridically whether students in private schools are entitled to free basic education based on the Constitutional Court Decision Number 3/PUU-XXII/2024. Prior to this decision, the phrase “without charging fees” in Article 34 paragraph (2) of Law Number 20 of 2003 on the National Education System was often interpreted narrowly, applying only to public schools. This interpretation created discrimination in access to education for students in private schools, particularly those from low-income families. This research employs a normative juridical method with a statute approach and case approach. Primary legal materials include the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Law Number 20 of 2003 on the National Education System, and Constitutional Court Decision Number 3/PUU-XXII/2024. Secondary legal materials consist of relevant scholarly literature, books, and journals. The analysis reveals that the Constitutional Court declared Article 34 paragraph (2) of the National Education System Law conditionally unconstitutional. The phrase must be interpreted to mean that the Central and Regional Governments are obliged to guarantee the implementation of compulsory basic education without charging fees, both for educational units organized by the government (public schools) and by the community (private schools). Consequently, students in private schools have the right to obtain free basic education as a constitutional right. Private schools are still permitted to charge fees from financially capable parents, but they are obligated to provide financial relief or full fee waivers for students from economically disadvantaged families. This decision has significant juridical implications for national education financing policy, particularly the need to revise derivative regulations and allocate School Operational Assistance (BOS) and Regional BOS funds to eligible private schools. This study complements previous research, which was largely empirical and regional in scope, by providing a comprehensive national normative juridical analysis.

The presence of street vendors in urban areas is a social phenomenon that is inseparable from the economic dynamics of urban communities. On the one hand, street vendors provide an alternative source of livelihood for people in the informal sector; on the other hand, their presence is often seen as disrupting public order, urban aesthetics, and the function of public spaces. This situation gives rise to social conflict between local governments—as the authorities responsible for urban planning—and street vendors who are defending their economic space. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of social conflict in the process of regulating street vendors in urban areas and to identify the factors influencing the emergence of public resistance to regulation policies. The study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that social conflicts arising from street vendor regulation are influenced by conflicting interests between the government and vendors, poor policy communication, limited relocation space, and economic factors affecting urban communities. Repressive enforcement measures tend to provoke social resistance, whereas dialogic and participatory approaches are more effective in reducing conflict. This study emphasizes that the management of street vendors cannot be understood solely as a matter of urban order, but also involves aspects of social justice and the community’s right to sustain their economic livelihoods.

Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) has become a key objective of English language education; however, its implementation in Indonesia remains insufficiently understood. This study investigates the alignment between ICC expectations in the Kurikulum Merdeka, English textbooks, and classroom practices in Indonesian senior high schools. An exploratory sequential mixed methods design was employed, involving document analysis of four government-issued English textbooks for grades X–XII, classroom observations in 15 schools across three provinces, a survey of 87 English teachers, and in-depth interviews with 18 teachers and 36 students. The findings reveal a three-level gap. First, the curriculum acknowledges ICC but lacks clear and measurable operational guidelines. Second, textbooks predominantly emphasize Anglo-American culture (64.8% of cultural content) while providing limited representation of Indonesian and global cultures. Third, 78.2% of teachers reported not explicitly integrating cultural dimensions into English instruction, resulting in stereotypical and culturally limited classroom practices. To address these issues, the study proposes the Triangulated Cultural Literacy (TCL) framework, integrating reflection on learners’ own culture, balanced exploration of target cultures, and intercultural negotiation. The findings highlight the need to operationalize ICC in the curriculum, improve textbook cultural representation, and strengthen teachers’ intercultural pedagogical competence.

The shift in the structure of modern society's economy from an agrarian base to a service- and expertise-based one has given rise to new forms of income, namely salaries, wages, and professional honorariums, which are not explicitly regulated in classical zakat fiqh. This phenomenon has generated the discourse on professional zakat (zakat profesi) as one of the central issues in contemporary fiqh muamalah. This article aims to analyze the legal basis, the methods for determining nisab and haul, and the map of scholarly disagreement (ikhtilaf) regarding professional zakat, while also examining its relevance to the objective of social justice in Islam. This study employs a qualitative method with a normative-juridical approach through library research, examining the Qur'an, hadith, legal maxims (qawa'id fiqhiyyah), fatwas of religious institutions, and journal articles published within the last five years. The findings show that the majority of contemporary scholars, including Yusuf al-Qardhawi, obligate professional zakat based on the general implication of zakat verses and the method of analogical reasoning (qiyas), likening it to the zakat on gold and silver in terms of nisab (equivalent to 85 grams of gold, at a rate of 2.5%) or to agricultural zakat in terms of the timing of payment. However, some scholars, particularly those adhering to the principle of tauqifiyyah in worship, reject the obligation of professional zakat as a distinct category because it lacks explicit textual basis. This disagreement reflects the methodological tension between textual and contextual approaches in legal reasoning (istinbath al-ahkam), while also demonstrating the flexibility of Islamic fiqh in responding to socio-economic dynamics without abandoning the fundamental principles of sharia. Keywords: Professional Zakat, Contemporary Fiqh, Qiyas, Nisab And Haul, Scholarly Disagreement.

Lead (Pb²⁺) contamination in wastewater is a major environmental concern due to its toxicity, persistence, and ability to accumulate in living organisms. Adsorption using biomass-based materials has been developed as an alternative treatment method because it is efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly. This study aimed to analyze the effect of bioadsorbent dosage and contact time on Pb²⁺ removal efficiency and evaluate Pb²⁺ mass distribution using mass balance analysis in a batch adsorption system. Ramie leaf (Boehmeria nivea) was utilized as a bioadsorbent due to its lignocellulosic content, which provides active sites for metal ion adsorption. The research was conducted experimentally through bioadsorbent preparation, chemical activation, and batch adsorption using artificial Pb²⁺ solutions with variations in bioadsorbent dosage and contact time. Pb²⁺ concentrations before and after adsorption were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The obtained data were used to determine removal efficiency and Pb²⁺ distribution between the liquid phase and bioadsorbent. The results showed that ramie leaf bioadsorbent effectively reduced Pb²⁺ concentration, with the optimum condition obtained at 4 g/L bioadsorbent dosage and 90 minutes contact time, achieving 98.46% removal efficiency. Mass balance analysis indicated that Pb²⁺ ions were successfully transferred from the solution phase onto the bioadsorbent surface. These findings demonstrate that ramie leaf bioadsorbent has potential as a sustainable alternative material for heavy metal removal in wastewater treatment.

Hot material dumping in the chemical industry is an important process stage that affects occupational safety, process stability, and product quality reliability. In manual processes, dumping activities may cause variation because they are influenced by operator condition, pouring angle, work speed, and exposure to hot materials. This study aims to analyze the consistency of the hot material dumping process and formulate a B2B strategy based on process reliability. The research method uses a descriptive-quantitative case study approach with data from 20 batches, analyzed through three indicators: dumping time, pouring flow stability, and material temperature change or ΔT. The data were primary data obtained directly through field observation, production-process documentation, and recording of process parameters; journal literature was used only as the theoretical and interpretive basis. The results show that the automated process provides more consistent performance than the manual process. The average dumping time decreased from 49.14 seconds to 30.18 seconds, the coefficient of variation for dumping time decreased from 12.44% to 1.36%, the pouring flow stability score increased from 2.55 to 4.70, and the average material ΔT decreased from 15.26°C to 8.16°C. These findings indicate that automation can improve process regularity, reduce variation between batches, and maintain material conditions in a more controlled manner. This process consistency can serve as the basis for a B2B strategy based on process reliability, emphasizing process reliability, production safety, quality consistency, and data-based evidence as key values in building industrial customer trust.
