This study examines the educational challenges of fishermen's children in Eretan Wetan Village, focusing on economic factors, accessibility, and cultural views that influence their participation in formal education. The purpose of the study was to identify the barriers faced by fishermen's children in accessing education, and to develop recommendations to improve the quality of education in coastal areas. The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach, where data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation of the lives of fishing communities. The results showed that poor socio-economic conditions of families, limited access to education due to the distance of schools, and cultural views that prioritize work as fishermen over formal education, were the main obstacles. Therefore, community-based interventions are needed to overcome these barriers, as well as government policies that support the development of educational infrastructure and increase awareness of the importance of education to empower coastal communities and break the cycle of poverty.

Entrepreneurship training entitled "Social Innovation in Community Empowerment: Creating New Entrepreneurs Sewing Hajatan Bags and Dasters from Used Sarong Fabric in Kayen Village, Bandarkedungmulyo District" aims to improve technical skills, understanding of social entrepreneurship, and digital marketing strategies for non-productive housewives. This program was implemented on October 27-30, 2024 at the Kayen Village Hall and was attended by 20 participants. The implementation of the activity included a pre-test stage to measure initial abilities, technical training in sewing hajatan bags and dasters, and a post-test to evaluate the results of the training. The post-test results showed an average increase of 65% in sewing skills, understanding of the concept of social entrepreneurship, and product marketing skills. During the training, several obstacles were identified, including limited tools and supporting materials, disparities in the initial skill levels of participants, and the lack of confidence of some participants in utilizing digital platforms for marketing. These obstacles were successfully overcome through intensive mentoring by a team of trainers who provided practical direction and motivation during the activity. As a concrete result, four business groups were formed, namely the Bodeh Group, the Amanah Kreatif Group, the Maju Jaya Sewing House, and the Mak Kreatif Group, which utilize digital platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee to support the marketing of their products. This program not only increases the capacity of individual participants but also creates a sustainable community-based entrepreneurial ecosystem. The results of the training show that the social innovation approach can be an effective solution to significantly empower the economy of rural communities. With proper implementation, this model has the potential to be replicated in other areas to overcome similar problems.

As a solution, this PPM activity focuses on providing training on eco printing techniques with the steaming method to PKK women. The training conducted in a structured manner in three meetings to ensure that all participants acquired adequate knowledge and skills. The training material includes a basic understanding of eco print, material processing techniques, and firsthand practice of making products. With this approach, it hoped that participants will not only be able to produce eco-print-based artworks but also have the potential to develop handicraft businesses in the future. The results of the activity showed an increase in the ability of participants to process natural materials into handicraft products that have aesthetic and economic value. In addition, this activity succeeded in providing motivation for PKK women to utilize the potential of the surrounding environment more creatively and productively. The problem of organic waste, especially dry leaves, is one of the environmental challenges that has not been optimally resolved in Indonesia. Kaliwungu Village, Jombang District, is one of the areas that has high potential for dry leaf waste, but has not been utilized economically. This study analyzes social media comments related to a controversial incident involving Gus Miftah and a street vendor, using Edward T. Hall's theory of High- and Low-Context Communication. The goal is to identify the degree of context in each comment and explore how cultural and social values shape online discourse. A qualitative content analysis was conducted on 9 user-generated comments from a social media platform. The comments were categorized as either High-Context or Low-Context based on the use of cultural references, implicit meanings, and the need for shared cultural knowledge to understand the message. The analysis found that 5 out of 9 comments (55%) were Ligh-Context, while 4 comments (45%) were How-Context. High-context comments often utilized religious symbolism, cultural idioms, and implicit moral critiques, reflecting Indonesia’s deeply rooted religious and moral values. In contrast, low-context comments relied on direct language, explicit criticism, and factual storytelling, making them universally understandable across cultures. The study highlights how local cultural norms, religious values, and moral expectations influence the nature of public discourse online. This approach demonstrates Hall's framework's relevance in cross-cultural communication studies while also providing insights into how Indonesian social media users engage in moral and religious criticism. This analysis can be used as a basis for future research on the intersection of culture, religion, and digital discourse.

This study aims to examine the implementation of teaching strategies and methods at SDN 1 Gobras using a qualitative approach supported by NVivo 15 software. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation to evaluate the effectiveness of student-centered learning methods, such as a modified Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The findings reveal that kinesthetic strategies significantly enhance students’ learning enthusiasm, particularly in lower grades (grades 1-3). However, the study also identifies key challenges, including limited learning resources and time allocation. To address these issues, continuous teacher training and improved learning facilities are recommended. These findings are expected to serve as practical guidance for elementary schools in enhancing the quality of learning effectively.

Uric acid is a byproduct of purine metabolism in the body, typically excreted through urine. However, excessive uric acid can lead to the accumulation of crystals in the joints, resulting in gouty arthritis, particularly in individuals of productive age. This article aims to discuss a community service initiative to prevent elevated uric acid levels through routine screenings and education on healthy lifestyles. The initiative employed the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach, encompassing counseling, uric acid level examinations, and iterative evaluations, thereby enhancing public awareness of the importance of maintaining normal uric acid levels and understanding healthy lifestyle practices. Education and early detection of uric acid levels can help the community comprehend actionable steps to reduce the risk of long-term health complications.

ABO incompatibility is a medical condition that occurs when the mother’s blood type differs from the fetus she is carrying, potentially triggering immunological reactions harmful to both the mother and the fetus. This condition poses a significant risk in pregnancy and blood transfusions. Therefore, early blood type screening is essential for women of reproductive age as a preventive measure against ABO incompatibility. The education and blood type screening program was implemented using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach, involving education, blood type screening, and evaluation. Through early detection and health education, women of reproductive age can better understand the risks of ABO incompatibility and take appropriate preventive actions. Proper education and regular screening can reduce pregnancy complications caused by ABO incompatibility and increase awareness among women of reproductive age about the importance of maintaining reproductive health. Early blood type screening plays a crucial role in preventing ABO incompatibility, thereby minimizing the risk of pregnancy complications in women of reproductive age.

Abstract. The Omnibus Law on Job Creation (Law No. 11 of 2020) brought significant changes to labor regulations in Indonesia, particularly regarding termination of employment (PHK). This law provides greater flexibility for employers in the PHK procedure, especially for economic or efficiency reasons, but raises concerns about the protection of workers' rights, such as severance pay. In this context, Law No. 6 of 2023 was enacted to strengthen the protection of workers' normative rights, including in the PHK procedures and social security. This law clarifies the provisions related to PHK, offers better legal certainty, and strengthens sanctions for employers who violate the rules. Despite challenges in implementation, both laws aim to create a balanced labor climate that supports job creation and investment without sacrificing workers' rights.
