This study examines Ahmad Mustain Nasoha’s thoughts on the relationship between the constitution and Islamic law (sharia) within the context of Indonesian citizenship. The interaction between religion and the state in Indonesia has always been a dynamic discourse, particularly in balancing Islamic values as the majority religion with the constitutional principles rooted in Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. This research employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach to analyze Nasoha’s works and perspectives on integrating Islamic values into the legal and state systems. The findings reveal that, according to Nasoha, Islamic law should not be formalized in a legalistic manner but should function as a moral inspiration and social norm within national life. Through the perspective of legal syncretism, Islamic law, customary law, and national law can be harmonized to create an inclusive and just legal system. Pancasila serves as a meeting point that bridges religious and constitutional principles, allowing Muslims to practice Islamic teachings without conflicting with the constitution. Nasoha’s thought offers a moderate and contextual model of citizenship suitable for Indonesia’s pluralistic society.

Human life is highly dependent on a balanced relationship with both the natural and social environment. However, environmental degradation caused by human greed, uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources, and unsustainable consumption patterns has led to widespread ecological crises across various parts of the world. This study aims to examine in depth how ecological values embedded in Buddhist teachings can foster strong environmental awareness, particularly among Buddhist communities. Using a qualitative literature review method, the study systematically analyzes various textual sources, including Buddhist scriptures, classical literature, and contemporary ecological literature. The findings indicate that Buddhist teachings, which emphasize the principles of interdependence, moral ethics, mindfulness, and respect for all living beings, can cultivate attitudes of care and responsibility toward the environment when these values are consistently integrated into education from an early age, both within families, schools, monasteries, and the broader community. This study makes a significant contribution to the discourse on religion-based ecological ethics by positioning Buddhist ecology as a conceptual framework for the sustainable and profound transformation of ecological consciousness.

This study explores the phenomenon of eclipses from the perspective of Islamic prophetic traditions (hadith), aiming to understand the theological and ritual responses to such celestial events in Islamic teachings. Despite being predictable astronomical occurrences, eclipses have often been associated with myths and superstitions in various cultures. The study investigates how Islamic teachings demystify these phenomena through authentic hadiths. Using a qualitative method with a thematic and historical approach, primary data were drawn from digital hadith sources such as Maktabah Syamilah, Hadith Soft, and the Encyclopedia of Hadith: The Nine Imams. The analysis identified ten relevant hadiths, which were grouped into three main themes: the meaning of eclipses, the spiritual wisdom behind them, and prescribed religious practices. Findings show that Islam emphasizes eclipses as signs of God's greatness, unrelated to death or birth events, and calls for reflective acts such as prayer and charity. This research contributes to the discourse on how religious texts provide a rational and spiritual framework for  natural phenomena

PAK emphasizes the importance of tolerance in a pluralistic society, respects religious diversity, and accepts differences as part of a complex social structure. In this context, PAK teaches students to see differences as a source of strength and cultural richness, not as a barrier. These activities involve not only students but also parents and local communities and create constructive discussion forums. Using social media as a means to spread messages of taboos and respond quickly to religious issues is also an effective strategy given its broad impact. PAK also contributes to poverty alleviation and community empowerment, regardless of religion, with programs that focus on improving basic needs and quality of life.A commitment to justice and human rights is the foundation of all initiatives, and all stakeholders are asked to play an active role in creating positive change. Therefore, PAK aims to build a peaceful, harmonious, and inclusive society that values differences and avoids conflict. This study analyzes the symbolic meaning of the 2025 Easter Parade in Kupang City using a symbolic interactionist approach, with a central focus on the cross as a primary symbol. The cross is not only understood as a sacred religious emblem but also as a medium of social communication whose meaning is dynamically constructed through interactions between parade participants, spectators, and particularly the actors portraying the figure of Jesus. These social interactions allow for the reinterpretation of the symbol’s meaning based on cultural contexts and participants' experiences. The findings reveal that deviant behavior exhibited by some actors portraying Jesus created a dissonance between the ideal meaning of Christ’s suffering and the actual performance displayed during the parade. This mismatch caused cognitive dissonance among viewers and had the potential to distort the intended spiritual message of the symbol. The incident underscores the importance of actors' awareness of the sacred nature of the symbol and the necessity for responsible and contextually appropriate representations in public rituals. The study also emphasizes that religious symbols are fluid and do not possess fixed or absolute meanings. Instead, they are subject to redefinition based on individual and collective experiences, cultural backgrounds, and public perceptions. Within the context of the Easter Parade, the cross becomes a performative medium that reflects the values, beliefs, and social dynamics of the diverse society in Kupang. This research employs a mixed-methods approach by integrating both quantitative and qualitative data to provide a more comprehensive understanding. Quantitative data offers general insights into audience perceptions of the symbolic performance, while qualitative data explores deeper layers of symbolic meaning and the sociocultural implications that arise. Overall, this study contributes to the discourse on religion, symbolism, and public ritual by highlighting the importance of intentionality, appropriate representation, and cultural sensitivity in maintaining the sacredness of religious symbols in dynamic and pluralistic public spaces

Digital technology chance in Indonesia presents both occasions and constraint for the development of Islamic economics, particularly in implementing Islamic business strategies through e-commerce. The adoption of digital technology, including Islamic fintech and halal e-commerce, has expanded market access, improved efficiency, and strengthened MSME competitiveness while adhering to sharia principles. This study employs a qualitative method using library research and the maqāshid shariah framework to examine the role of digital innovations such as fintech and blockchain in supporting Islamic entrepreneurship. The findings indicate that Islamic business strategies in the digital era have the potential to broaden international market reach, enhance transaction clarity, and reinforce compliance with sharia principles. Furthermore, digital innovation aligns with maqāshid shariah objectives, focusing on the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. However, challenges remain, including low digital literacy, complex sharia regulations, and the risk of platform misuse. Therefore, cross-sector collaboration, the enhancement of digital and Islamic economic literacy, and strengthening the role of sharia e-commerce supervisory bodies are essential to build a fair and sustainable business ecosystem. With these strategic measures, digital technology integration can serve as a key instrument in strengthening the ummah’s economy, promoting financial inclusion, and positioning Indonesia as a global hub for Islamic economics.

Introducing a sense of tolerance from an early age, especially in preschool, is crucial for building a harmonious society. This article discusses the importance of instilling the values of tolerance and mutual respect among children, particularly in the context of religious diversity. The study, conducted at Telkom Kindergarten in Gorontalo, involved seven students aged 5-6 years. The data collection technique used a Guttman scale questionnaire with intervals (Yes-No). The results showed that 85% of children had demonstrated tolerant attitudes, which include accepting differences, respecting others, and appreciating the religion or beliefs of others. However, there were still 15% of children who were not fully tolerant. Therefore, it is recommended to further develop social tolerance skills in early childhood through various structured and systematic approaches, such as modeling, habituation, storytelling, outdoor activities, singing, and providing appropriate rewards and consequences. It is important to build strong synergy between parents and teachers in formal educational institutions to guide children in developing a tolerant character. In addition, efforts need to be made to increase students' awareness of good behavior, and parents' use of democratic education also plays a crucial role in developing tolerance skills in early childhood.

This study examines the integration of Maqasid al-Sharia the objectives of Islamic law into contemporary sustainable development frameworks, focusing on how Islamic ethical principles can guide social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Maqasid al-Sharia traditionally aims to preserve five core elements: religion, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth, all of which contribute to human well being. The research explores how these principles can be adapted to address modern challenges such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation, highlighting the potential of Maqasid al-Sharia to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key Islamic principles, including justice (ʿadl), public welfare (maṣlaḥah), and ecological stewardship (khilafah), provide a moral framework for sustainable development, ensuring that economic growth is achieved alongside social justice and environmental preservation. The study also examines the role of Islamic finance, particularly tools like Sukuk, Zakat, and Waqf, in promoting sustainability by funding social welfare projects and supporting environmental initiatives. By comparing Maqasid al-Sharia with secular sustainability models, the research underscores the importance of integrating ethical and spiritual accountability into sustainability efforts. While secular models often prioritize economic growth, Islamic sustainability frameworks emphasize the interconnectedness of human development, social justice, and ecological balance, offering a more holistic approach. The findings suggest that integrating Maqasid al-Sharia into policy and development frameworks can provide a comprehensive, ethically grounded approach to addressing global sustainability challenges. Future research should focus on empirical studies to assess the practical application of Maqasid al-Sharia in real world sustainable development projects and policy making, particularly in Muslim majority societies.
