The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare services and medical diagnosis in Indonesia has grown rapidly alongside the digital transformation of the health sector. AI technology has been employed to improve service efficiency, accelerate diagnostic processes, and enhance disease detection accuracy, particularly through medical imaging and ECG data analysis. Algorithms such as K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Chi-Square have shown effectiveness in heart disease classification. However, despite its benefits, AI implementation presents legal challenges. The absence of specific regulations regarding legal liability in cases of AI-based diagnostic errors creates uncertainty for both medical professionals and patients. Additionally, the lack of national standards, weak patient data protection, and digital literacy gaps present significant obstacles. Adaptive policies, the establishment of dedicated regulations, and collaboration between government, medical practitioners, technology developers, and academics are essential to develop a legal framework that accommodates AI advancements responsibly. With clear legal certainty, AI technology can be optimally utilized to support more inclusive and high-quality healthcare services.

Obesity in women of childbearing age is a growing health problem, not only due to dietary patterns and lack of physical activity, but also due to the influence of social and cultural factors. This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences, perspectives, and habits of women of reproductive age who are obese within the context of local social and cultural norms. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with five primary informants who are obese, as well as triangulation informants from community health workers and healthcare professionals. The results of the study indicate that perceptions of obesity are still predominantly viewed from the perspective of physical appearance rather than health. Social factors such as family eating patterns, snacking habits, comments from others, and lack of physical activity are triggers for obesity. Meanwhile, local culture has a varied influence—some communities are beginning to adopt slim body ideals, while others remain neutral. Obesity also impacts self-confidence, social stigma, and limitations in daily activities. However, most informants expressed hope for a healthier life. This study recommends interventions that consider local cultural values and involve family and community support in obesity prevention effort.

Abortion is a contentious legal and moral issue, as it involves two equally important rights: the right to life of the fetus and a woman's right to bodily autonomy and reproductive health. Under Indonesian criminal law, abortion is generally classified as a criminal offense, as stipulated in the Criminal Code (KUHP). However, exceptions are recognized under specific conditions such as medical emergencies and pregnancies resulting from rape, in accordance with Law Number 17 of 2023 on Health. This study aims to examine the legal boundaries between prohibited and permitted abortions and to analyze the challenges of implementing these provisions in practice. The findings indicate that despite the existence of legal exceptions, implementation remains difficult due to complex procedures, limited facilities, and inadequate understanding among law enforcement and health workers. Therefore, clear technical regulations and cross-sectoral education are essential to ensure fair legal protection for both women and medical professionals.
